  1. Unless there's a better method?
  2. Do you think I could get 66 to 80 mining on bonus XP weekend? Doing granite.
  3. No Then to hell with Dungeoneering for the BXPW, because players want their tokens!... Oh wait, this one's F2P, so it doesn't affect them. :P It's just this one's opinion, but skilling (except Prayer) seems to be the optimal thing to do for the BXPW time period. This one gets the feeling like preparation for things will be more valued than diving into the things themselves. :-k ~D. V. "Really, no token boost makes it not that great of a BXPW thing. Skilling FTW!" Devnull People who do DG during BXPW don't care/need tokens. *cough* 109 DG (as of almost 15 months ago when I quit). Hell I PK in DG gear since tokens are so easy to get. rnt u cool bro
  4. Might as well bring back those hot balloon trips over member places.
  5. Only #1 I remember is BoneBreaker6, but nobody else seems to.
  6. All I saw on the lucky roll was 10M and a BGS?
  7. Felt pretty nerdy watching it but there wasn't a single part I disagreed with.
  8. shortly followed by What are mid level players going to do? What did mid level players do before? Hmm... Back when the map was half the size it is now, there was plenty to do and people somehow managed to become "high levels" ... and now there's more to do than there was then... so .. if people managed to get through and not be bored then, it must certainly be possible now... He seems to be mostly complaining about Jagex actually making updates for high-level players.
  9. Shouldn't be any problem getting to Jad by just slapping on D hide tbh, they don't hit that hard.
  10. Now look at how many mid-level things are actually worth doing... It isn't about quantity, it's about quality  Numbers don't really mean much when most of the mid level content has been abandoned since its release because of how useless it is. It's hard to get excited about training slayer when your new unlock is molanisks. After that point you'd think "Okay, how long before this skill becomes worth training?" and see monsters in the mid-80s... At which point you cancel your RS subscription and start playing [FPS of the week] because you don't want to spend hundreds of hours waiting for the game to start being fun. Mid-level players have both quality and quantity. They have the bulk of the game.
  11. The Neglected mid-level players article seems to forget the sheer amount of mid-level things to do compared to the low amount of high-level things to do.
  12. Seeing as that single developer is in charge of it, yes :D That's not really good enough for me tbh. I can play the game as it is, no point in Jagex doing their traditional method of fixing it until it's broken.
  13. And people want massive combat changes in a game where we are thankful for having a single developer who knows the game he works on?
  14. Jagex's track record with "fixing" content says otherwise. I am with Zerker Jane and I am not even a pker, I just don't trust Jagex to come with a better solution for the current system. As long as Chris L is in charge of it, it will be great ;) That's basically the only developer that really has a hand with combat. That really shouldn't be the case.
  15. Same here. Maybe there's something to it.
  16. Did you read what I said? I said if I wanted a different combat system I'd play WOW. How do you extrapolate from that that I think WOW is an inferior game?
  17. It's not superior to WOW it's different form it. Or are you saying they share the same combat system?
  18. On what grounds can you make this assertion tenable? If I wanted a change to happen and think it would be awesome I would consider it good for the future growth of runescape. He even puts down people who disagree with him, which kind of proves what I'm saying. Its effects on future growth is not contingent on your personal preferences. You can't make the sweeping assertion that everyone playing RuneScape doesn't mind it either, as that's easily proven untrue - it's merely an obvious hyperbole. I think the RuneScape combat system is long overdue some changes - but it seems we have some PKer lobbyists who resist change for the sake of nostalgia. Why do you feel it doesn't need changing? If I wanted a different combat system I'd go play WOW. I'm not talking about balancing the skills, that's fine, but he's talking about completely changing combat. Might as well just play a different game.
  19. He's trying to say that if the only thing in Runescape you care about is PKing, you have different interests than players who don't care about (or care less about) pking. PKScape is the wrong term to me. People who only PK don't want to see updates that ruin the precarious balance that sometimes is PVP. But a lot of these updates are much desired by other players. Yes, but without knowing me he then preceded to place me in this group of people, in an attempt to make my opinion invalid. On what grounds can you make this assertion tenable? If I wanted a change to happen and think it would be awesome I would consider it good for the future growth of runescape. He even puts down people who disagree with him, which kind of proves what I'm saying.
  20. Then how can you say somebody 'plays PKscape' and not runescape solely because they PK? If you've ever done clan wars, do you play clanwarscape and not runescape? If you level fletching do you play fletchingscape and not runescape? No. I can correct you by using just the words in your post. Somebody plays PKScape because they soley PK. Eh, but I don't feel right leaving it like that. If you only do the things necessary to PK, you are still playing PKScape. Yet you said I play PKscape and not runescape jsut because I PK. Get your story straight. I have my story straight. It's exactly what I just said. I can see your stat sig, I know you're a bit beyond a normal PKScaper. I'm actually not even using that term derogatorily, so please don't take it that way. But if you do not want to see changes to the game because they would change a much smaller part of the game - in this case, PKing - you are liable to be labled as such. If you would sacrifice (in this sense, if you were given the choice) the future growth of RuneScape by denying the things that would be necessary to turn RuneScape into a professional product and attract new players simply because your play is focused on a small part of the game you don't want to see changed, you are being detrimental to the game as a whole. Well I'm still trying to work out how you're distinguishing 'PKscapers' from Runescapers. You say you're doing it one way but you are clearly basing your decision to label people 'PKscapers' on whether they PK or not. And then you're saying these people are not allowed to have an opinion on the rest of the game. And THEN you say it's not being used derogatorily. And the only reason you think this would be good for the future growth of runescape is because YOU want it. Everybody playing runescape right now obviously doesn't mind it.

  23. No, I play runescape because I like runescape. It's not about being 'afraid' of change; it's about not wanting the game changed to an unrecognisable level. You don't play RuneScape. You play PKScape, a minigame within RuneScape. And I don't know if you realize what you're saying. Most people who play PKScape complain about every single change to the outer RuneScape, because those effects trickle down into PKScape. Because of these complaints (from the vocal minority, as truly that's what they are), larger and better changes never happen in actual RuneScape for fear of backlash. I really do wish, for the greater good of us both, and the future growth of RuneScape, that there would've been another RSC-esque release, freezing the Wilderness as it was pre-removal, because that's what most PKers want. No quests, no immersion, no skills, no roleplaying. No Dragon Claws, no Korasi, no Turmoil, no Overloads. Just a browser-based game where you walk around and hit people, use special attacks when their health is low, and eat food when yours is. MMORPG I don't consider Hybriding a part of PKScape, and actually, Hybriding would be much better if anything like my changes were brought forth. There would be far more possibilities and it would take more skill and knowledge to identify and react accordingly. Please, try to use a little empathy. It may not seem like it, but that's what I've been doing all along. Changes are not good for the game you play. I know that. But continuing to use a flawed but working system is not good for my game, either. So most of Runescape falls under the minigame PKscape?
  24. No, I play runescape because I like runescape. It's not about being 'afraid' of change; it's about not wanting the game changed to an unrecognisable level.
