  1. I'm liking 2 but it seems I get junk guns more often. It's annoying. But the music isn't as intrusive, I like that you don't die as soon as your car explodes now, and the story missions get intense much faster than in the first one. Also liking the badass token system to increase your stats. Anyway, everything burns and it's beautiful.
  2. Theres a chemist mix that kills Exdeath instantly. But then you wouldn't be a man. I didn't even bother going with chemist, nor free lancers at the end. My party was: Bartz Knight + Spellblade Lenna White mage+ Time Krille Dragoon+ Red (for emergencies, couldnt find anything worth it for Krille) Faris Black Mage+ Summon (I thought the game would let me name her, so I went with the intent of Rydia, but oh well, Black+ Summon was a beast combo) Titan helped me out so much on early 2nd world. Dragoon and Knight were also really good jobs, but Mystic Knight with Flare/Holy Blade is so powerfull it's ridiculous. I also limited myself out of cheap tactics like chemist mixs, Spellblade rapidfires and Finishers (I played the GBA version). As for the jobs themselves, they do have heavy disparities between other FF games. Bahamut is useless if you get syldra and are not fighting any lighning resistent monsters, Flare is really weak compared to Holy, which is the best single target damage in the game, apart from lucky meteor flukes. Speaking of which, Meteor is so wierd in this game. I love the concept of multiple hits but sometimes it jinxs you by just going 1.8k- 29- 500- 900. My second favourite FF though, and I played them all apart from the first 3 now. I grinded it out so that all for characters were on Mimic Class, all had Dual Cast (the final ability of Red Mage), 2 had Time/White (for 5x casting holy, Dual cast Holy/Quick, then dual dual-cast Holy), 2 had Time/Summon (Same as above, but replace with Bahamut instead of Holy). You could call that cheating, but meh :P He spams meteor on your ass once you get him weak. 'Tis fair if he uses the same strategy.
  3. There are subtitles for cutscenes. But the sound is an important part of any game, it helps set the tone. Plus all the random discussions npcs have are voiced, which helps with immersion and etc. Anyway i've been watching our WvW closely each day, it looks like we've finally found Jade Quarry's matchup based on the stats. It looks to be stormbluff isle/henge of denravi/Jade Quarry. Atleast my server can do good against henge when they step up. Apparently a big community on the server doesn't want to fight henge so they're throwing the games against them. Anyway level 75 now, and i'll probably be level 80 by the end of today. With 400 tailoring.

  5. It's less for downleveling purposes and more for upleveling purposes. For WvW your stats that are scaled up to 80 are based off your current stats with your armor on. So better armor means higher stats. And the same works for the reverse, when you're downleveled, you're considered to have better base stats for your better armor than you had at that level originally.
  6. I played the first Star Ocean game on an emulator long ago and got pretty far in it. I was liking it but my save disappeared after an emulator crash and I had to restart it. I quit there. And by very far I mean, I got to a point where I think I had been playing for awhile, but in reality was probably still not even to the halfway point of the game.
  7. Craftbukkit finally updated to 1.3, which my guild server was waiting on to start up. Now the guy only needs to start the server up. I have a couple of builds already planned for the server after I get myself situated, as we've all discussed it and decided we'll be doing a pure survival thing, it's more fun to build things in survival anyway. My two build ideas are enhasa from chrono trigger, but I might go and do all the zeal. And then the hero's grave which I think I might decide to do the entire town as well, put up a wall around the town, get some villagers, and make it my second home, as I plan to live in enhasa. I'll post pictures when I complete them, but that'll be awhile.
  8. we'd need to see what you're doing. But you could always run a hamachi server and then open up your single player world to LAN. Hamachi emulated a LAN connection over the internet so we could LAN connect to you with it over the internet.

    Today...

Been 100+ for a few weeks straight here. I guess the good thing about today is it's only supposed to be 100, so it's cooler by a little.
  10. I think notch was planning to put one in at one point.

  12. So what server were you guys on? We may have fought. I was the Asura engineer for Jade Quarry that rained grenades into the crowd and took down all the enemy siege weapons with mortars.
  13. You can give them to the librarian at the mage guild, he takes them. I was doing the mage guild questline and noticed the option, clicked on it, and not only will he take it, but he'd be honored to take my junk.
  14. I didn't get much WvW this weekend, but did the attackers use catapults and flame rams? They used it all, didn't matter. It was rare that a group would even reach the gate, little less get something built. They eventually gave up on attacking the keep completely after 3 hours of us holding it, since they just got massacred anytime they got in range on the cannons.
  15. Had a big weekend of WvW. My guild spread out through the three borderlands and made sure we held a fully upgraded keep in each. A fully upgraded keep is ridiculous. Like 6 people can hold a fully upgraded keep, with all the guards, and how hard it is to break down the doors/walls.
  16. Bastion is a fantastic game and I always recommend it as well. Easily worth the $15 at full price, actually i'd pay more than $15 just for it being a fantastic game.
  17. We had our own personal chests insides our houses, and then we had a community house in town where we'd put anything that we were ok with people taking. Stone, dirt, wood, coal, etc. Diamonds didn't usually show up in there since most people just looked for enough diamonds for themselves.
  18. So tomorrow the final beta weekend before release starts. Who's excited?
  19. GTA IV isn't much in multplayer. It's a few game modes and like 3 co-op missions.
  20. Yeah that's what i'm saying. For example Space Jam. I thought that was a great movie until I saw it again when I was older. What a terrible movie that was.
  21. I'm thinking I may go with the Carpe Fulgur collection, I atleast heard that one of them was an enjoyable game. i'll atleast wait until tomorrow though. Also steam broke killing floor so I guess I cant get the summer achievements online. Playing by yourself is so boring.

"War. War never changes." - fallout ...What?
  23. You know what's even worse? 20 years from now some people will say they watched that show as a kid and it was great. Nostalgia does that to you.
  24. If the next daily deals are anything like they were for the 17th, you don't need to worry. Besides i'll be wrapped up with GW2 once the weekend starts, that should keep my attention away from steam.
