    Firefall

Firefall is an upcoming mmofps, developed by red5 studios. It's currently in an invite only closed beta. Set 200 years in the future, humanity is on the verge of extinction. Running from a mysterious storm, named the melding, and attacks on the last human cities by a vaguely humanoid race, called the chosen. Though I think the CEO explains the story better than I ever could. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yzied5rnyaY&feature=relmfu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Pi-NxUU2TQ&feature=relmfu
  4. Dragon/ice? god help us...
  5. This. Oh. So. Much. I can't even begin to describe how frustrating that is. Most of the time, the teacher knows who did it but will punish the entire class in the hopes to get the class to turn against the student and get angry. All it does is frustrate everybody and makes the troublemaker's shenanigans more successful, and it's pointless. Even if the teacher doesn't know, it should be painfully obvious and the whole thing against "snitching" and "teacher's pets" mentality really makes it more difficult on the whole group as if they have to service the idiot who is dragging them down and not doing something about the teacher's pitiful way of dealing with the situation. I once got in trouble in school because I refused to take a punishment for something other kids did. I was sent down the the principals office, and even sent home. That went on every day for about 2 weeks until they finally decided to drop it. This was when I was in like 3rd grade mind you, so being sent home was a big deal.
  6. You just bumped a year old topic Dupin. Shame on you. Though seriously as you get older your tastes mature. Even my favorite game, Chrono Trigger, seems relatively simple by today's standards. Stories have evolved, graphics have gotten better, games have gotten longer, systems have got more powerful, and gameplay has changed. If I was just looking at it today for the first time, I doubt i'd have been so taken with it, i'd have seen it before. But back in like '99 when I first played it, it was amazing, it was new, and i'd never seen anything near that level. Though it's still an amazing game to me and no game has oust-ed it as my favorite game so far. Part of it is nostalgia, but part of it is also, not gaming going downhill, but gaming stagnating.
  7. there used to be a tipit server, but it went down one day and never came back on.
  8. Now if only it was a shiny ralts on the first piece of grass you stood on. And then it got ko'd in the first battle he used it in. He was going to weaken it but then he took an arrow to the knee he got a crit and 1hko'd it.
  9. Now if only it was a shiny ralts on the first piece of grass you stood on.
  10. 2 game instead of the usual 1? In my time they'd get 3 games out at the same time. I legally own the Silver version, but it doesn't hold the save anymore due to the battery being dead. I did something funny though. I downloaded the ROM and was playing it on the TV with a Xbox controller. Emulators FTW. I never remember Nintendo releasing 3 pokemon games at the same time. It's always the first two of a generation, and then a special 3rd version that combines the differences of the two somehow.
  11. Washing your skin everyday won't really do much. You don't need a shower everyday, but it's not like it'll hurt if you do it. Washing your hair everyday will hurt it though.
  12. Bought Deus Ex human revolution on steam along with mirror's edge and two worlds II. Haven't played much of Deus Ex, the beginning seems to be really slow. I'll have to push myself past it to actually get to the game. I played Two worlds 2 with a friend. It's fine, although the camera seems bad. I'm not too far in mirror's edge either but i'm enjoying it more than the other two right now. I see mirror's edge taking a spot as one of my favorite games after I finish it. It seemed odd that unlike other games, after the tutorial they don't ease you in like other games do so you can master the controls, they just throw you in, an odd approach but I like it. It feels much more rewarding as i'm progressing through the game.
  13. The reason no one thought there would be 3 timelines instead of 2 in the first place is because time does not work that way. You cant succeed and fail at the same time. If you succeed there's 2 timelines, if you fail it remains 1. If by some off chance you manage to do both at the same time... well... Hmm, apparently there arnt any clips on Youtube with the Colonel from MGS saying "Time Paradox". Go figure.
  14. Ahh GOW3. What a disappointment. I still need to finish FFXIII as well.
  15. But I already own it. That's just not fair.
  16. Similarly, free DLC: A high-resolution texture pack. I'm downloading that at the moment. About 15 minuets left. I hope not to mod my game too much. Only thing I've downloaded so far was a mod to let me make arrows. That's about all I really wanted. So far I have the Midas Magic mod, which is amazing and currently too OP, but the creator has said it's still a WIP. I also have a mod to reduce the weight of dragon bones and scales, a mod to add in brackets the skill tree to be levelled for books, and dynamic merchant gold, which means if you sell a lot of things to them in a few days they'll start to have an increased amount of gold. No limit to how much a merchant will end up with. I went mage for the first character in vanilla skyrim. I killed enemies with ease that my friends that went with other styles were stuck on for awhile. Magic is OP in skyrim period. It's not the mod. This makes you nearly unbeatable at higher levels due to spells such as being able to shapeshift into a giant, casting a paralyse rune, being able to spam giant fireballs, being able to open master locks, entangling enemies, mass reanimation and the early spells, such as heal + disease cure, summoning dragonlings, and poison cloak aren't that balanced themselves. That's in comparison to other spells too. Fireball + dual casting+ impact+ like 200% mana regeneration. Everything dies, nothing can touch me, and I never have to worry about health, stamina, or mp again. Again, magic is op in vanilla, atleast the mod gives you some interesting spells.

  18. Reminds me of radio censorship. You can have a bit called "Mom, I Wanna Be a Porn Star", but you can't play music without censoring the word God in "God damn"? I don't know about you, but the music on the radio stations I listen to isnt censored. And one of the DJs says god damn all the time. and I live in Missouri. So i'm guessing the censorship of songs is up to the radio station, and just most do.
  19. My only controllers that have broken are my SNES controllers, and they just wore down over time.
  20. I like how they mentioned that SOPA and PIPA were going to stop online piracy. As if saying anyone in the protest was all for online piracy. This isn't fox news is it? It's unfortunate, but did they really need to shut down the entire site instead of just removing the uploads and arresting the violators? They're kind of proving the point, that instead of battling piracy by just going after it, they'll just shut down entire websites. Maybe we missed something here, were the people uploading the content in question the heads of the company? Though I haven't pirated anything since the days of limewire, and I stopped using that years before it shut down.
  21. That's a quest dungeon actually. Look on your questlist and see if you have a quest called "the forsworn conspiracy".
  22. No i cant seem to find it, cant remember whether it was mentioned on this thread or one on gt. Anyway the link you posted was helpful anyway ,thank you i downloaded it. Some modders are working on a multiplayer mod which would be quite cool although dont understand how they could do it. They did it for oblivion. It runs two characters on the same computer.
  23. The minimizing thing has been there since day one. Just click the skyrim icon again in your taskbar. As for crashes, there are mods that help that. Do the amount of saved games do anything bad to the game? I don't think so.
