Just a warning: Armadyl gloves do NOT protect you from Armadyl creatures in the God Wars Dungeon. Seems like Jagex missed it.

Dragon claws are useless. Turmoil/Piety seems quite useless to me now, it only increases your max hit by 20 or something. In comparison, abilities do over 1000. Barrows gloves (as they will always be known as) are outclassed by class-specific gloves such as Bandos gloves, Armadyl gloves, etc. I'm pretty sure that Dragon boots are simply outclassed by higher level items.

Careful, nobody's sure what will happen to the Chaotic rapier after the Evolution of Combat hits. Considering that they aim to make all weapon classes have roughly the same DPS (meaning they'll increase the DPS of Chaotic longsword and Chaotic maul) and the possibility of failure (perhaps Chaotic longsword will be the new best Chaotic for training due to Jagex's failure to balance it properly), I would recommend not to get any Chaotic weapon, at least until the first glimpses of the beta are seen. Chaotic maul seems to be the safest choice at the moment. It's DPS will probably be increased (to bring it in line with Chaotic rapier) and it's already quite useful for many bosses. Still, I would hold off on buying anything until the dust settles.

Rather than it being illegal or not, have you considered whether it's the best course of action to take?

I wasn't aware of any selection methods based on gender and age. :unsure: I am a male of unknown age. (I hide my personal information.) I was never asked about my age. Anyway, I have only been part of the Editorial Panel for a very short amount of time, but I would definitely recommend it to those who are interested or aiming for such a spot. Don't be intimidated, there is nothing scary about it. I've only been met with nothing but kindness and awesome people. :thumbup: Good luck, everyone! Is anyone else experiencing this? I just want to have a general idea in order to figure out if the problem is at my end or Jagex's. The lag has gotten really bad. When I farm herbs, I end up picking 5+ herbs at the same time. (The XP counter shows a lump gain, such as +200 XP for 5 herbs.) The game crashes as well. I've tried many solutions: my Java/browsers are updated, the lag is still present with every browser/game client, I've closed every background process, I restarted my computer, I only have one tab open, I choose low-ping low-population worlds (it still lags, even if I'm in a deserted area), I set my graphic settings to minimum with maximum CPU usage, Java is set on high priority, I don't have any malware, etc.

It would be cool to have statistics like showing the breakdown of time left for each player according to skill. (eg. 12% of Suomi's time left is Runecrafting, 43% is Hunter, etc.)

It's called delayed gratification. I will do this task, which I consider completely brain-destroying, for two hours. Afterwards, I shall have fun of my own choosing for four hours, with my shiny new piece of equipment! Also, a large part of it has to do with the sense of accomplishment/progress. Sure, hanging out at the Duel Arena or Castle Wars all day might be more fun than picking herbs and grinding out Green Dragons, but I always have this feeling of stagnation at the Duel Arena/Castle Wars/whatever it may be.

The Squeal of Fortune is an incredibly minor portion of the game. Spinning it and receiving prizes takes less than a minute to do. Hiding it will also take a comparably insignificant amount of time. Face it guys, this thing is a really small update. Figuratively, it's a huge update that signifies a shift in Jagex's policies. Literally, though, it's 30 seconds per day. I think that's my main complaint with it. If it's such a small part of the game, why must it be changed or have new items added to it on a near-daily basis? New rewards, spin tickets from quests, new limited time outfits, increased rewards, Mad May with 3 spins per day, Monkey cosmetic items, the Squeal of Neptune... If Jagex seriously has the time to do all of this, why can't they do some more simple updates, such as tiny fixes and improvements? If they have time to update the wheel every day, why can't they add some random rock to a part of the world which disturbs botters? While Guthix Sleeps was an amazing quest in my opinion. I would much rather have them focus on content like that rather than this wheel which constitutes less than 0.1% of my playtime.

Hm, I thought it was worth using the Salve amulet (e) when facing undead creatures? Slayer helm gives a boost of 15%, while Salve amulet (e) gives a boost of 20%. The higher boost is the one that takes effect, so you get the 20% boost from the amulet, making it worthwhile to wear. ^ Please tell me what is wrong with that logic! :o

I suddenly got disconnected. I logged back in, and everything seems fine... until I try to move. My character just didn't move at all... then disconnected again... That was about 20 minutes ago, and I took a shower in the meantime. Now, I clicked on the "Play Now" button and the client itself refuses to load at all.

How about adding a section about Ranged (or why not to use it)? Basically: Why not to use it, how you should train Ranged instead of Slayer, and some uses of Ranged (such as dragonbane bolts?)

I spun it only once today (I'm currently F2P) and I got Queen's guard boots. I was expecting the pieces to be a bit more rare, but I guess not. All these Squeal of Fortune-related updates keep coming. I eagerly anticipate Sunday, I'm sure a certain somebody will have some things to say. :P

To make it visually appealing, I would suggest a table of contents and coloring the section headings. I would divide it up like this: I. What is this guide? II. Slayer 101 III. Equipment IV. Other Tips V. Tasks So color the main headings blue (or any color you want, I'm just choosing a random color as an example). Also, make them the same size. Then color these headings red (again, choose any color you want). Make these the same size. (under Equipment) A. Melee Equipment B. Mage Equipment C. Inventory G. Special Attacks H. Summoning Familiars (under Other Tips) A. Cannon B. Prayer C. Potions D. Profit E. My problem with Kuradal's Dungeon F. Between Tasks (under Tasks) A. Task List B. Blocking/Skipping All other headings should have the same size, perhaps they can be in bold. They don't have to be colored. I'm referring to misc. headings such as "Bank Organization" Also, could you take another picture using the highest graphic settings possible? I wanted the picture because I was considering making a banner for this guide.
