Fight Cauldron has been altered so that it would take longer for a fire pit to start flaming and so that it would flame for a shorter time, so that would probably help for meleeing the rangers/mages that stay on the pits.

Those Macroing - Gold Farmer bans are beyond ridiculous... How is it even possible a person can be a gold farmer when they're doing the complete opposite: training smithing using a 100% money sink method!?

There's another option too. Instead of releasing a new training method with higher exp/hour rates, they could release new methods that have the same exp/hour rate. That way, it doesn't make training the skill faster, it just provides a different method of getting the same exp so that you choose which method feels the funnest to you. The problem is balancing the content properly so that the exp/hour actually is the same as the other best methods, but that's another problem for another time.

Have you tried deleting your old cache folder from Pre-RS3? I kept having issues with the sound too, so I got rid of the cache and let it download the new one, and I must say the sound works much better now.
