  1. Attack styles (slash/stab/crush/magic/ranged making) more of a difference.
  2. With any skill that requires walking, i wear nothing+weight reducing items. For all skills that dont require it, Im going for the stylish stuff.
  3. Honestly, if you lost a small amount of money (few mils), I feel bad for you. But at least you have the comfort of laughing at the people who foolishly hoarded magic stones. Really now, if they had that kind of money to just throw around, they're not going to be THAT affected by the loss. The annoying thing about this was that you needed to invest ALOT to make it worthwhile, if you were just buying cape racks for low then selling for med at ghrim. Then you'd need to spend at least 28M per load to make cash. And due to people not understanding just how likely this was to get fixed, some might have invested all their cash into it, just to be able to get more quicker. And you only get back 10% of your investment, especially since cape racks will never ever sell again, because so many have been made to exploit this, while there will be no demand at all. So well yeh, people whove had 100m+ and were a bit stupid (its easy to judge after the events), might have lost everything they had. That is very very harsh, especially considering they were never warned for it, and instead of getting apologies by jagex for just basicly throwing all their hard earned cash down they drain. They were told of how good jagex is because they won't ban the "abusers". Thats just evil, and noone deserves that, no matter how stupid you are. It was afterall a thing released by jagex, and selling things for ge med price doesnt sound that overpowered or buggy to me. How is your average joe supposed to understand that a thing released by jagex is going to take away all their cash, without warning, without him realising that hes done something wrong.
  4. Oh wow! How generous of jagex! They made me lose 2m within minutes, and they dont even ban me for it! Yay! gotta love that attitude.
  5. So he's buying them for a lower price now? Yes, but the forumla seems werd. He paid only 57 coins less (around 10%) for the cheap item. But he paid nearly 2 million less for the expensive ones. Maybe hes paying the alchemy prices now.
  6. I odnt even have a high construction, buying at low and selling for med would net around 50k each magic cape rack, and they were buying instantly at low :| thats 1.4m for a inventory... Aka huge, easy profit.
  7. AAARGH MASSIVE NERF ALERT!!!! I had 1m in my coffers, went to buy 3 magical cape racks at low price (around 1m ea), went to grim and he said, fine ill take em . So i sold the 3 racks, looked in my coffers but there was only 2.2m there. Ran back to the ge, bought a flatpack of 468 coins, went to grim. He said : "fine ill take it for 468". Gave it to him, looked in my coffers and there i found 411 coins. The greedy bastard!! So yeh, if you dont want to lose 2m instantly, dont do the same as I did.
  8. Thats right so dont you want to do something about it ? Did you even read the post? While I applaud your attempt, Im afraid its not going to do much, bad customer supports are everywhere, and usually this is because businesses care mostly about the plain old cash. As long as people arent mass-quitting because of customer support, its simply not worth investing into. A single added designer/programmer/debugger will likely generate alot more income then another man on customer support. I doubt the few guys they currently have on customer support are actually worth their salary, so from a business point of view, they are doing the right thing, pretending there is a reasonable support so people wont quit over that, while not wasting any cash on it. They are not going to win/keep much customers since customer support is simply not a deciding factor for most customers.
  9. For some reason i didnt get it at the first runt, but i got it at the 2nd though, maybe they forgot a different kind of runt...
  10. My astronaut costume ive been wearing for quite a while (sometimes with a fixed device, aka bazooka)
  11. The fremmy use lyre without charge once is from the medium reward, not the easy one. I really wonder for how much this guy is buying flatpacks, with all those flatpacks sold at min price, this could turn into quite a bit of profit.
  12. You get lamps, got me a level extra to get closer to the rc req for fally :
  13. Fremmenik diary (medium) reward: [hide=] They let you contact the lyre recharger from a distance (will give you less charges) And lets you use the lyre once without charges (once per day) Lets you deposit items at the seer of relekka Lets you use a broken bridge between jatiszo and neitisznot. Lets you improve approval rating for mtk faster. Easy only gives you the contact and the depositing.[/hide]
  14. Id let him wear some expensive gear, go into a empty bh world and id kill him. After that im fine with the shouting praises I guess. Shouting praises to someone else can be quite fun aswell, especially when doing it with a small group and to some lower leveled guy who likes to respond to everything with: "lol wut?" or "friendz?".
  15. I took some pics but i lose them in a sudden computer crash (well i turned it off without realising i didnt save em =D> ) Anyways, the zanaris cosmic altar entrance is close to the evil chicken lair part you acces with a rope. And the white knights training ground is next to the barrows maze, its not surprising they wouldnt take us there without blindfold ;) And I spotted 2 otheres that were mentioned before (the abyss area - the real abyss and the starflower - ocean thing)
  16. And why is that? Rs is programmed to drop items by some calculation involving odds. While it maybe true that a item with a droprate of 1/1000 doesnt actually drop that item every 1000 drops guaranteed. It still means that if billions of people would get billions of drops every second for billions of years, the average would be very close to 1/1000 drops. So a droprate does exist, and its actually usefull, i dont think anyone in here actually believes 1/1000 means that youll get 1 item every 1000 kills guarenteed. Why are droprates still usefull? Because they give you the average amount of attempts to get a item, and for calculation purposes one could assume that its always 1/1000 to make the most accurate calculations possible. The expected amount of drops you receive does depend on the drop rate, so a higher drop rate means your more likely to make a profit.
  17. Techincally ive been playing since 1999/2000 (not entirely sure). But ive often quite for many months, and i dont really play that much either. So id say 2k-2.5k at most, but for some reason i hang around rs relted forums more then i play lately, so id say 5k total spend on rs. Ah if only i spend that time playing id have much better skills...
  18. boss wise the quest was a walk in the park. I ate ONE, yes ONE shark during the boss fight. If a lvl 42 can do DT, a lvl 85 can do this quest for sure. Even with 99 or whatever summoning. I wonder how the results seems to have such a huge difference at the boss fight. My stats are only a bit lower and the first attempt i ate 20 sharks and had to tele out. On my second, I had no food left when i finished the elemental off with me being at 50 hp. For me that was the hardest boss ive encountered, not once before did i tele out at a boss fight.
  19. Ah, he fooled another one \ That image was created by our beloved topicstarter, he placed the shadow there.
  20. Yeh, clearly the concept is much less usefull and sophisticated then say, firemaking or agility. I still havent heard a single reason why sailing = auto fail skill. The accessing of different new areas alone seems like a better concept then most of the slayer skill. Accessing different areas which can hold loads of different skill related things, new creatures and ways to make money > accessing a few creatures. Tie 'fun' parts into it, like customising your boat, hiring a crew, plundering settlements and skill-requiring things like sailing through dangerous waters and the skill promises alot more then 75% of the skills currently in rs, and then were only touching the surface of what sailing could give us (ofcourse jagex wouldnt give it all, but theres ideas enough out there).
  21. Also, Im wondering if "third party" includes software you write yourself, since technically you're part of one of the first two partys. I have the programming knowledge to build macros/small bots yet I probably wouldnt be allowed to write them. My bots would require me to sit at the computer (for randoms), include realistic mouse movements, small pauses to simulate me pausing once in a while, and because I would have to write it first, theres no time benifit either. Its just saving me from hurting my wrists too much and its a great excuse to train my programming skills. However I doubt jagex would accept home-written software like this, and it would still be pretty stupid since its impossible to defend that you used your own program. Legal? It might be, since jagex always refers to third party software Ethical? Yes. No advantages given (well besides the lack of pain really, but that shouldnt be part of the game in the first place), only disadvantages for having to build, test and tweak the software. Mouse keys are more abusive and require no programming. Stupid? Definitly.
