  1. Id love safe pvp worlds, fight pits, castlwars, duel arena are all fun, but they wouldnt be as fun as safe pvp worlds by far. I odnt care much about the loot in the pvp worlds that are here, yet I do always risk some good gear when pking. Id love to be able to kill anyone (I hope theyll go with no level restrictions) at any place without having to worry about how efficient your gear is for its price. A world like this would easily beat fight pits and the fighting rings in houses when it comes to fun.
  2. f2p? If not, you might have some clue in your bank you totally forgot about..
  3. Didnt have a grims reaper hood, checked the toybox... And *BOOM*.. nothing. So id say no.
  4. Although you are obviously right about all those threads, there are also loads of threads by people telling others to shut up (in different degrees of subtility). And well, I get tired of those too on those forums, all those people who think they are better then the average RSOF'er telling them to shut it, well its not very nice. Its almost as bad as those saying you should have posted a thread somewhere else.
  5. Where are the bone bolts, dark bow and accumulator? Those seemed like pretty big updates to me, moreso then small tweaks to bows or the seercull.
  6. Thanks to skillcapes, experience itself is now worth money, even for the most useless skills. Before skillcapes, people would (usually) only train skills because those skills were usefull, or started being usefull at a certain level. Cooking for example, these days all cooked fish are worth less then their uncooked variants, skillcapes are to blame here, because if cooking would make no money without skillcapes, people would jsut ignore skill, causing the demand for cooked fish to raise, and those prices would rise. However, with skill capes, people dont care much about the skill being usefull, they just want a cape. True there are other reasons for people to raise skills (without expecting profit), but in most cases the player would stop before hitting level 80, and thats not even 25% of the xp of 99. And there are more people training it aswell. I would rather see them gone and replaced by some other cape(s). But im afraid the skillcapes here to stay.
  7. I think your talking about the air obelisk, well to get there go in the edgeville dungeon and walk all the way north, and a bit west once your in wildy, you should see a ladder somewhere in that area, go up and your at your destination.
  8. In theory your right, in practice however noone is going to say: "im not going to eat/pray because the other player isnt either". People are selfish and will usually choose food/prayer even if its considered less honorable. Not eating might also give a unfair advantage to those with huge spec blows but little follow-up damage. Dark bows, godswords and dragon daggers would become alot stronger then they are right now, and noone in his right mind would use a whip/scimitar/random weapon. People fighting in groups and freezing/binding mages would also really unbalance the game. So basicly its all about balance and people being selfish. (insert your number here)
  9. Ive tried a survical type of gameplay, which can be used seperate from the regular gameplay. In this survival game it is my goal to get some real weapons/armour so I can make a few pks without ever accesing a bank. Starting without anything and eventually killing a few guys is very satisfying. You start small, obtaining a few tools, fishing a bit with your barehands, smithing yourself a few weapons. But if your stats (mainly non-combat) are good, you will eventually obtain gear strong enough to kill quite a few pkers. Its the ultimate exploring and surviving game.
  10. Ugh, I saw the smithing gloves pop up in the middle of fally, some pker must have missed them, too bad 15 people jumped towards them. This would suggest they are tradeable though, or at least drop tradeable.
  11. Ha the junk theory works :D I went in combat with just a dds and 75k worth of maple longbows (u) and the one who killed me got rune boots and a dds + some random stuff =D> This only cost me 19k worth of maple logs and a bit of time to fletch them, so 19k just turned into 60k worth of stuff  I dont think this is abuse since junk trading isnt either, but it could in theory be used to make cash between 2 friends. Edit: I just read in some j mods post that the enemy only needs to drop 25k worth of stuff to get good drops if the attacker has 75k+ which makes it even better
  12. Got tired of those names myself so one day I went on a name claiming spree, heres wha I came up with: Non pure names: hmmmmm pizza Bolding man Uuh shiny Me nose (troll name) C 2 H 6 O (chemical formula of alcohol) noes i lost more pure like names: no tougher 1 im eating ya Sinc ehtne ive never had to make a new acc.
  13. Maybe you havent noticed, but there are players out there with 45 combat that love to pk, the dont wear whips and rune armour. If anything, its too high since youll basicly need at least 2 pieces of rune or 2/1 dragon items plus the items you are protecting (or some mystic). With addy or dragonhide, you just wont hit the threshold. Which stinks, the threshold should really be based upon the persons level.
  14. Oi, i betetr cancel all those corrupted drag dagger offers i had #-o Thats for asking some of my questions totalpwnage, its too bad most of these will remain a mystery sicne theres always random factors involved and it would cost loads to test it.
  15. Im still wondering about how this 75k is calculated, can anyone explain? Does it include items that arent within the regular 0 or 3 items but that are protected by item prot? If it doesnt, will turning off the prot prayer let you get points for it or is it always 1/4 items. Do your accumulated "hot zone" points go away if you suddenly fall below the 75k limit? (drinking a ppot dose for example, or turning on prot prayer if the previous points are both false). Do your points go away the instant you enter a safe zone (chasing runners into banks)? How long does it take to accumulate the max amount of points? Do untradeable items somehow count for the 75k limit (high alch prizes)? Will your points vanish if you lose your skull status and thus fall below the 75k limit? What matters more in the calculation of the drop, your own points or the loot the enemy would drop (see the dragonfire shield mentioned before). What would be a good example of a outfit that is strong yet only slightly above 75k? Would holding massive amounts of junk? (noted granite, or soemthing similar) count for your 75k limit? If the above is true, could a few players turn junk into cash in acceptable amounts? Does proselyte count for the 75k limit (it costs money yet is untradeable, right?) Does standing in a hotzone without fighting give you points (I found a few spots that are considered hot, yet noone ever goes there) Well that concludes the massive amounts of questions I have. O btw, dont trust those tele safety things, it lasts less then 3 seconds on average, certainly not enough time to run to banks.
  16. mine is dendur the brave, just dendur but i think that they should have added brave =P
