I want to be a producer for bands. It's in reach, i've 5 years experience behind me and a huge love of music. I wouldnt get famous or anything, but get to work with bands and enjoy myself. Failing that, probably end up working for my dad's gardening business

i think its mostly down to the fact that when a topic is over, mods lock it. it doesnt need to be locked, just leave it to die and nature will run its course.

I was banned for a week because of her for "hateful flaming." I asked why she didn't think to post knitting related questions in the other two knitting topics she started in offtopic, both of which were unlocked. 2 weeks later i returned to find multiple private messages from her suggesting that i should "ram my replies up my [wagon]" and im "a total f*cking idiot." What happened? Nout. Hooray for justice!

Not a bad idea, though i'm sure it has flaws all over the place, and we'd probably end up moaning at people for not reading the stickies, plus it'd be a responsibility to update the thread lots. Guess i'm just picking out flaws, could be a good idea. Suppose the best thing to do is to give it a run :P

There are a lot of trigger happy mods around here but over half the topics locked have due cause. Suppose you have a point when you say a lot of topics are locked needlessley but maybe you should convey your views a little better in future.

What makes you think your opinion counts? Maybe if you respected the views of others then people would respect yours (ie "I dont really like RBF or any ska, but fair play if you like it.) No, you find it nessacery to try and convert us to listening to indie crap. For the meantime, you're probably in for a huge flaming, and for the record, Franz Ferdinand are absolutely crap.

Brown noise. Raw signal oscillating at the exact same frequency as the colon, causes your bowels to release themselves. They use it as a war weapon sometimes, after all - soliders with crappy pants arn't gonna be at peak physical performance

Reel Big Fish are a very awesome band, mustve been amazing to have the guy play over the phone like that. Their older stuff is the best though IMO (take on me/sell out/where have you been/f*ck off song/why cant we be friends, etc etc!) ska punk rules all :)

I think we should do what they're doing, strike some fear into them by threatening to kill someones family if they're found to be a terrorist or something. England is slowly caving in and it's all due to this "Ethics" crap. 200 years ago we wouldn't have put up with this, we'd have slaughtered everyone who even tried to terrorize us, but now look where "ethics" have gotten us :roll:

Hmn well i had to tune out during the Prophet's set because i kept getting some huge loud whitenoise every so often. From what i saw the visual displays were once again absolutely stunning (Underwater clones with breathing equipment during Yoji Biomehanika's set, a Mech unit during the 1am Megamix, Firework displays in time to the music during the megamix...christ, i'd have given anything to be there :)

Yoji Biomehanika has already played an absolutely blinding set and Lady Dana & Luna are currently b2bing. anyone who loves their "techno" as you put it should check this out :wink:

Shading is terrible. Landscape is flat and boring, sky only has 1 colour, guy is crosseyed, cant be bothered to list any more faults. Can't really praise it, sorry, try harder next time.

I live there, and i'm seriously terrified right now. My mom just came in and told me, and theres a chance my brother might be up there tonight with his girlfriend. I seriously dont know what to do but im actually starting to pack up some valuables ready incase we have to leave. omg im so scared right now, i dunno what to do :(

You're good at what you currently do. If all your work is original, forget their opinions. Your sig looks good, and if you made it all by yourself, so be it. Don't hop on the pixel bandwagon. Do what you wanna do, and if people dont like it, that's their problem and not yours. I havnt read topics so may have the wrong end of the stick. Just go with your heart and forget people's opinions.
