  1. That's the question of the day :P My highschool had one.
  2. spot the homophobic.... the girl is 17 and therefore has legal rights to express her sexual idienty, the school had no right to go to her mother as it is the girls affair and it should not of been brough to the mums attention. all she was doing was hugging and kissing, if she was doing more full-on stuff (i dont feel that its neccessary to say wot they could be lol) then there might be a cause for concern at the school. schools need to realise now that ppl do not save themselves till marriage anymore (probably only a very very very small minority do) and that this type of behaviour is not regarded as exceptable. i have a strong feeling that if she was kissing a boy then this would not have been brought to her mothers attenion, i feel this is merly another discrimination act If such rules are in place [they were at my high school] then the school has every right to tell the parents what is going on. Some parents may not allow their children to date, it is their right to know what is going on, especially if the kids are breaking school rules. They are not going to treat her any differently because of her sexual preference. They would do the same thing if it happened to be a boy and a girl kissing in such a manner. If she wants to "express her sexual identity" she can do on her own time in the bedroom, not on school property.
  3. Been in a few small fender benders but I'm fortunate enough not to have been in a car wreck.
  4. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for the PS1 is the best of the series.
  5. Agreed. When it comes to pizza I don't think there is any type or style that I don't enjoy

It's all a marketing scheme, people go crazy and show all their friends "OMG SUPER BANNEDED XBOX AD OMG LOOK!!!"
  7. get varying reports from varying sources, but thats the latest i heard. the earliest i heard was in time for christmas, but they wont rush anything. if its not done, they wont put it out until it is. last night i was thinking about what i would do to be able to play oblivion right this second, and i decided cutting off one of my small toes was worth the price. if i got a new computer to play it on also, i would give both of my small toes. :D  I don't think I would go *that* far  I'm kind of in a bad way with it being released this year though. In my first year of university and timewise, I really can't afford to play. Studying must come first. I can definately wait for the release, I'm very busy with school but I know I won't be able to stop myself from playing once I buy it
  8. According to Amazon it won't be out until March 31, 2006
  9. It's something along the lines of no asking for real life information. You can't ask people for their names, address, phone number, etc. Mad, that's awesome. I remember reading about Jenstarr and Pugxsi getting married thanks to the game and I know dozens of people who may not have met face-to-face but talk to one another on the phone. It's a shame how such good things can be overshadowed by events like this :?

  11. Was never lucky enough to play it on the PC, I have the X-box version but I couldn't get into it. I have a nice new computer now so I am waiting for Oblivion :D
  12. Yep, it happens quite often. My friend bought a first-gen PS2 and after three months he was no longer able to play any sort of DVD on it.
  13. I have my faith but I have never wanted it delivered to me through any form of organized religion.
  14. Go for it 8) That was totally out of line.
  15. I was hoping someone would say something like that. I wasn't sure about its actual danger so I didn't say anything but I had my suspicions... I said that back on page seven :P
  16. Not much of a solitare buff. The cards are drawn so randomly I doubt I could begin to rate my level of skill [or lack thereof ].
  17. We live to pass on our genes to succeeding generations. This is done in the hope that they will be able to assist in the culmination of our species' perfection.
  18. Volts don't kill people, Amps do. The difference between a battery operated taser and a house socket is such that they should not be compared. He could hit her with 100,000 volts and it would do nothing without the proper amperage behind it. He already issued a verbal request for her to step out of the vehicle before he opened the door. This is normally done if an officer suspects the person has the capacity to flee using their vehicle, which is much more dangerous than someone fleeing on foot. Often they ask people to get out the car because it's seen as an IPC (Inter-personal communication) tactic that can defuse a possibly hostile person. When she started mouthing off, after repeated requests, it was obvious that it was going to require force to remove her, especially after she kicked at him. Considering a Taser is classified as a non-deadly compliance alternative than say an ASP baton, Capstun, or even brandishing a firearm, he used it exactly the way it was designed: To prevent someone from being able to physically resist which would escalate a situation into requiring more applied force to get compliance. She actually got off really easy with a Tasing. I guarantee she wouldn't want to get hit by a baton or some OC spray.
  19. You guys understand that a baton has the potential to do much more damage to a person than a taser, right?
  20. Why not? Whether the use was justified in this particular instance or not, surely experiencing the use of the weapons allows an officer to appraise the degree of force at his disposal, as well as the effects on a suspect? If I had tazed someone once and I still thought they might be a threat, I'd probably taze them again myself even if some manual claimed the first one was enough. Personal experience as a method of learning older than the written or spoken language. And if it's so safe and non-lethal and harmless as people say, tazing a train̮̩̉̉e under controled medical conditions can hardly harm their health. Most officers have been tasered so that they know what they are doing when they use the thing. Infact, the officer using the taser in the video admits that he himself has been tasered in the past.
  21. An officer has to be in control of the situation at all times or there is a huge risk to his safety. She was resisting his commands, in a belligerent manner no less, and deserved what she got. Better the taser than his nightstick
  22. YOU ARE UNAUSTRALIAN!!! How dare you call Australia a nation of cowards!!! Did you think about the men who are in the army for Australia? Do you dare call them cowards? The men that protect out shores? You are an idiot!!! That's the kind of reasoning that has been quite prevalent here in North America since September 11th. Once we got that "you're with us or against us" spiel people started following whatever others said because they feared their beliefs would be labelled "un-American". :?
  23. Tallest would be 6 foot 6 inches.
  24. It's due to the fight or flight reflex ingrained in every person, the best bet is to practise some deep breathing techinques
