  1. I've played it and it was a decent game. If you are looking a solid Star Wars game I'd reccomend "Knights of the Old Republic" instead.
  2. It was a quote from Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series. I thought it was very appropriate given the thread topic. :-k
  3. The greatest mystery the universe offers is not life but Size. Size encompasses life, and the Tower encompasses Size. The child, who is most at home with wonder, says: Daddy, what is above the sky? And the father says: The darkness of space. The child: What is beyond space? The father: The galaxy. The child: Beyond the galaxy? The father: Another galaxy. The child: Beyond the other galaxies? The father: No one knows. You see? Size defeats us. For the fish, the lake in which he lives is the universe. What does the fish think when he is jerked up by the mouth through the silver limits of existence and into a new universe where the air drowns him and the light is blue madness? Where hugh bipeds with no gills stuff it into a suffocating box and cover it with wet weeds to die? Or one might take the point of a pencil and magnify it. One reaches the point where a stunning realization strikes home: The pencil point is not solid; it is composed of atoms which whirl and revolve like a trillion demon planets. What seems solid to us is actually only a loose net held together by gravitation. Shrunk to the correct size, the distances between these atoms might become leagues, gulfs, aeons. The atoms themselves are composed of nuclei and revolving protons and electrons. One may step down further to subatomic particles. And then to what? Tachyons? Nothing? Of course not. Everything in the universe denies nothing; to suggest conclusions to things is one impossibility. If you fell outward to the limit of the universe, would you find a board fence and signs reading DEAD END? No. You might find something hard and rounded, as the chick must see the egg from the inside. And if you should peck through that shell, what great and torrential light might shine through your hole at the end of space? Might you look through and discover our entire universe is but part of one atom on a blade of grass? Might you be forced to think that by burning a twig you incinerate an eternity of eternities? That existence rises not to one infinite but to an infinity of them? Perhaps you saw what place our universe plays in the scheme of things ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã
  4. I bought a baseball cap last summer but I lost it. That means I'm left with my winter toque.

Yeah I know that it was really stupid but we were in the 8th grade at the time [13 years old] and we were idiots. At least we weren't hooked on heroin :shame: Edit: It was only the once. One friend got really sick and was throwing up after. We were too scared to try it again.

Well, when my friends and I were younger we heard about a way to make eachother pass out. Of course this came from a highschool kid so we had to try it out. Basically they had me lean against a wall and hyperventilate for 15 seconds, then hold my breath, cross my arms across my chest, and lean against the wall while the three of them pushed against my arms/chest. I hit the ground instantly and was out for about ten seconds. Looking back on it now I realize how freaking stupid we were to try that. That probably caused a bunch of brain damage. No wonder I'm so messed up #-o

The whole wrestling scene has gone to hell in the past few years from what I've heard. The WWF bought up WCW [and ECW I think?] and as far as I know, they pretty much shut everything else down to focus on the WWF. Stuff like that is sure to annoy alot of fans, especially when alot of their favourite wrestlers are no longer "viable".

Heh, my friend's mom used to work for the WWF from 1999-2002 so we got to go see them every time they came to Toronto. We went to about seven events and even got to see the first RAW ever in Toronto. Since she worked for them we got alot of special treatment. We were driven to the Skydome in a limo for RAW, we got to meet almost every big wrestler at the time, we got floor tickets for every event, we got to visit the VIP boxes after the event where we got free magazines and food and watched them take the ring apart. At the time I was a huge wrestling fan so it was amazing. I would still go, even if I didn't get all the special treatment because just going to the show and seeing it first-hand is very fun.

Palestinian children grow up to be terrorists and kill innocent Jews. Isreali children grow up to be soldiers and kill innocent Arabs. There's no difference between the two. :shame:

  13. Canada has something along the lines of 20% of the world's fresh water and most places charge more for a litre of distilled/bottled water than gas stations charge for oil :-k

I'm over at UOIT in Oshawa. I honestly don't understand the GPA system, most of the highschools in the GTA do not use it. In highschool they never mentioned it to us, for every report card we just got our number grades for each class and an average [ex. 90, 86, 94, 83, 97 = 90 average]. When we got our handbooks at the start of the year at the university it was explained that 60's = 2.x GPA, 70's = 3.x GPA, 80's = 4.x GPA, 90+ = 5.0 GPA. After speaking with some American friends I've found that the American system is far different, they consider marks in the 80's to be 3.x and 90's to be 4.x. Me = :-k
  15. White 60 gig ipod Video. I've had it since early January and I've never had any problems with it. I love the thing to death. I loved watching TV shows on it when I was alone on break at school. I keep it in the felt slip that it came with and then store it in the pocket of my pants/coat. This has kept the screen immaculate and has never put it in harms way [How you could put a $500 piece of equipment in a position where it could be sat upon is beyond me].

Highschool's here doesn't use the GPA system. Back in grades 9/10 I had horrible marks, 60's and 70's. I never bothered with the work because it really didn't matter. As long as I passed my classes I could still get into the University prep courses in grades 11/12. Once my last two years came around I put forth some effort and got by with straight 90's. Just finished my first year of post-secondary with a 4.6 GPA which translates to an 86% average. Don't worry about your grades in year 9/10. Heck, your 11/12 grades aren't that important either. If you can get into a community college and get a diploma from them you can apply for university transfer credits and get a degree.
  17. My brother is 10, he was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes two years ago. Just before Christmas :? Like Bloodstain said, with proper care it isn't hard to manage it. This is especially true now that insulin pumps are becoming more affordable and are being covered by many medical plans. We are looking to get a pump next year, this will mean no more needles for my brother, the pump will regulate his insulin levels for him. \ He still gets to eat whatever he wants, he just has to do it in moderation. I'm not sure of the exact details but my mother got a wealth of information from the local Diabetes clinic. I suggest you look and see if there is one in your area and help you mom out. Trust me when I tell you they will help so much. Anyways, the first few months are going to be hardest because her blood sugar will fluxuate a lot. Rest assured, her blood sugar was not at 700. One of the counsellors at my brother's Diabetes Camp was up at 90 before he was diagnosed and that was extremely rare.
  18. Guys like me, we're not some brainiacs on the nerd patrol. We're not members of the factinista. We go straight from the gut. That's where the truth lies, right down here in the gut. Do you know you have more nerve endings in your gut than you have in your head? You can look it up. Now, I know some of you are going to say, "I did look it up, and that's not true." That's 'cause you looked it up in a book. Next time, look it up in your gut. I did. My gut tells me that's how our nervous system works.

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ ... 51117.html Try that. I got my ipod in January and had the 01-08-2006 version of the firmware. It did the same thing so I downgraded to the 10-12-2005 version. It works perfect and I haven't updated since. Apparently the 11-17-2005 version is the same as 10-12-2005. If it doesn't work, google up the version I'm using and try it instead.
  21. Exactly. We could get there to Mars in the predicted time but we won't. Why? It simply isn't important to the powers-that-be.
  22. Yes, I was a bit apprehensive at first but I quickly realized that you can prevent injury to yourself if you dope some of that wet food and offer it to them. After they pass out you just need to carry them to a secluded area [don't want to get caught!] and whip out your trusty pliers. As long as you use over 15mg of Tiletamine Hydrochloride they won't wake up on you. You can then get the claw, dump the cat, and add another to your collection.
  23. If they wouldn't reset the game when hundreds of crackers were duped why the hell would they reset it for the dozen people who lost items now?
  24. Without Roli playing, I'm gonna have to go with Carolina
