The only thing that really stands out to me is the ability to pick up radio on the Zune. Like other people have said, the limited wifi/sharing capabilities and the resolution of the screen make this another average portable media player at best.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I always eat in the morning and so should everyone else :shame:

 Why did you have to go and do that. They're going to send you to Guantanamo now...

Even if you don't gain weight from junk food you need to always watch what you eat. It may not be physically apparent but you can still do irreparable damage to your organs. Skinny doesn't necessarily mean healthy and overweight doesn't necessarily mean unhealthy.

I eat so much during the day thanks to my metabolism #-o I can't go more than a few hours without having to eat. However, the food I do eat is very healthy; Home-made sandwiches, bran muffins, fruits, and lots of water. I swear, if I was ever in a crisis I would be so screwed. I would be complaining that I was dying of hunger before the first 24 hours were up

I live just outside of Toronto and I'm not surprised to see it on the list. It's a great city. It's obvious that designer towns with names like "Autumn Acres" or "Paradise Falls" will have less crime and pollution than Paris or New York. However, looking at the list you can see that these cities are all on that would be considered "world class" in size. None of the places on this list are close to perfect. Heck, there is a lot of crime in Toronto but it's probably safer than 95% of the world's major cities.

When the other personality takes control it has super strength and possibly some other powers we haven't seen yet.

Sounds like they are just mild anxiety attacks. It happens to the best of us. The biggest cause of anxiety and worry is a negative thought process. You're too worked up and worried about something [your schoolwork in this case] and in your head you're envisioning the worst possible outcome. When you feel this way you just need to give yourself positive reassurance. I would suggest making a list each night containing all the relevant things and in the morning you can check each one off before you head to school. This should boost your confidence.

Do you believe in physcial infinity? *Question Rephrased*
VOV replied to Viktorkrum77's topic in Off-Topic
To be fair, the passage was published in 1982. I don't know where we scientists were in terms of sub-atomic understanding at the time but King may not have had access to the best resources available. -

This quote, taken from Stephen King's The Dark Tower, is one of my favourite literary quotes of all time and suits this thread perfectly. -
Tell that to the average Iraqi citizen. Iraq is on the brink of a civil war and the insurgency is more powerful than ever. But yes, we're all safer now that Saddam and his WMD's are gon... oh wait, he didn't have any when Iraq was invaded

Basically he's starting to spin the whole thing like all these hypocrites do. Just like that pedophile politician who blamed it all on his "alcohol problem." I expect Haggard to claim that the devil was tempting him and he had a momentary lapse of judgement but he's now seen the light thanks to Jesus and he's going to get through it, blah, blah.

No form of stem cell research has been banned. The law Clinton signed just made sure that no government funds would support embryonic stem cell research. In the late 1990's scientists were testing samples of fetal tissue donated by various medical facilities. The cultures derived from said tissue are much less desirable than the ones provided by embryonic or even adult tissue samples. Also, to the people who believe that these embryos are human; Are you not bothered by the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of "people" sitting in cold storage? "People" who, in all likelyhood, will never be implanted into a surrogate and freed from their current prison. Yes, there are also stem cells derived from adult organs. However, they can only differentiation [change] into a limited number of tissue types. Whereas embryonic stem cells are believed to be able to differentiate into any type of human tissue. In addition, any transplants done with such samples would run a huge risk of rejection. The recipient of another person's cells would, in all likelyhood, be forced to take immunosuppressant drugs for the rest of their lives. It is believed that embryonic stem cells can be tailored to each host through theraputic cloning techniques to prevent any rejection.

No, no, no, no, no. This misinformation is the reason there is such a stigma surrounding embryonic stem cells. Please read my post on the first page of this thread. None of these embryos are the result of abortions nor do they resemble a fetus in any way.

As the brother of a Diabetic I'm all for stem-cell research. When most people hear the term "embryonic" they have visions of scientists farming fetuses and chopping them up for organs. However, the stem-cells are actually taken from eggs that have been fertilized for less than a week. They are created in a lab environment via In-vitro fertilization. At that stage of development these "babies" are nothing more than microscopic balls of 100-200 cells. The scientific term is "blastocyst" That lump of cells on the inside of the ball is what the scientists want. As of July 2006, there are 500,000 of these embryos in "cold storage" within the United States. The majority of these specimens will never be transplanted into a host. They will stay frozen forever. Why not use them to benefit mankind?

Especially since chess has the white peices starting first :-w . How dare they! :shame:

I still fail to see anthing racist in that ad. I swear, the people who make a fuss over things like the above picture are ridiculous. Next thing you know they'll boycott chess because it has white and black pieces hitting one another. Reminds me of the lady who called in and complained about another game, castle crashers.

I would love to have the kind of financial security that most "trust-fund children" have. Struggling to pay for education, food, and a place to live may build character but it's also very stressful :ohnoes:
-
Well there are really only two outcomes; it winds up being nothing and you get on with your life or you realize it is a serious problem and you go see a doctor about it.

Yeesh, I feel horrible if I go without food for more than a few hours. I don't think I'd be able to go a day without my lunch and water bottles. #-o

Wait... why gloves? Especially if it's your cat? I mean, I can see why you would want some protection if the cat is feral but you wear gloves to handle your kittens? :-s

Sadly I lost all my pictures. I 've gone through four computers since I started RS :wall:

As an Interweb Medical Professional I'm advising you to amputate the foot as soon as possible lest you risk a full body infection. There is no time to go to a hospital, you need to do this yourself.

I've heard so many horror stories that I no longer have any faith in monogamy. =; I'm still iffy on the kids part. I believe my genes should be passed on but I don't want to raise a child in this crummy world. Perhaps I'll donate sperm.
