When I plateud at the gym at around 196lbs I simply changed up my workouts, just removing some of my sets in favour of others e.g. taking out dumbell shoulder press for a standing military press. Naturally there are some things that I would argue should stay in your work outs all the time such as bench press, squats, etc. Basically mix things up.

Hey all, I'm getting into running on rest days from my workouts or days in which I have worked out but still have some energy to kill. However, I'm currently running in an old pair of Nike Shox and would like to invest some money in some actual running shoes. My current budget is about £60, which is (at a very rough estimate) approximately 66 euros and 85 dollars. What sort of shoes should I be looking at and are there other things you need to know aka the terrain/heat in which I run? Cheers, Ed.

I would have thought a ~16m armour piece would take up too much of a budget? Also are steel knives/darts "fine" or inefficient, I'm happy to use more expensive darts for increased efficiency. Do we presume a cannon down the line too?

Hey all, Just came back from my A2 exams which I've now finished :thumbsup: I have 20m in my bank and a green mask which I would have thought will rise in the near-ish future, probably worth keeping hold of. Therefore, to get some money back, i'm looking to range slay, only I currently have a 20m budget. As it stands I have no armour so i'll be needing set ups for all tasks. (I have accumilator, sw capes and a torso if that makes any difference) Also, i'm 2 levels from using a +5 boost to get extreme range, would this be worth getting to decrease task times? I'm assuming focus sight, but wondering what is good armour, archer's ring? What about the higher def tasks? I'm assuming broad bolts for most tasks except knives/darts in Kuradel's dungeon, which metal types - at 99 slayer I don't mind using range pots, addy bolts or whatever. Cheers in advance, Ed

As the title says I have 72m to invest. Normally, i'd undoubtedly invest in the rares market due to the very nature of them being rares. Howevever, I've noticed that they've been rising almost consistently for the last 180 days, I'm not sure how much longer this can be sustained - I know at the moment green mask and santa are dropping/flattening but I can't work out (and I haven't been to W2 in a while) if they're actually crashing or going through a minor drop in price. On the other hand, I'm coming back in 2 months time so it won't be too long, so my investments could be medium term. I've kept my fury as my only members item as I feel they're a relatively safe bet for the future.. :ohnoes: Anyway, My choice at the moment seems to be between santa + 20m of other stuff and green mask. I will be checking prices from time to time so a f2p item would be preferable so I can react whilst in f2p because I really wont be a member. Cheers, Ed

I only managed to watch a few laps of this Sunday's race. From what I saw it was really exciting, previous races this season have made my interest dwindle a bit This Sunday's though (I listened to the most of it on the radio) has go me extremely excited again! I do love it when a car breaks down, it adds a bit more mortality to some of the better cars but it seems that Vettel really is in a rough patch. Then again, as a Brit and friends with Hamilton's younger brother (everyone loves a good name drop?) - I wont be complaining

I think you'd struggle to get arma gear as well as range and mage to 90 with a 50m budget. I guess I would probably get the gear first because once you've got the levels that money is no longer there and you can always re-sell the gear

In terms of defensive stats as the above poster said Granite and Obby sheilds are probably your best bet However in the shield slot as a whole, at my defence level, i'd undoubtedly take a rune defender. I appreciate 76 defence may mean you need the +bonuses of an actual shield, but certainley weigh it up. Also it has no cost other than time so you could perhaps upgrade your other armour to allow you to get high defence

Hey all, Just got myself 85 Herblore for extremes and have used recover specials for 84 - 85 Although I factored into my Gp/xp calculations that they had no worth, so I don't really care if I don't use them, is there anywhere that they're really good or particularly worth taking as opposed to just helping? I'm maxed combat with extremes (If I stew) and turmoil, so in terms of game content there's a lot of things open to me. I'm also 99 slayer so I wont really be using them on task as I very rarely slay anymore, At the moment I can think of Solo (or more) Bandos TDs - don't quite know what to use for the special though Sara for ZGS specs?

No, that's wrong. As gold ores go up, training smithing with gold ore becomes less effective and some producers of gold bars will switch to other training methods. Therefore the supply falls and quantity supplied falls and price rises. I'd like to disagree with you, respectfully. In my opinion, providing the rise is genuine and not too related to solo merchants (if it were clans gold ore would be unbuyable - which it is not) then an increase in price will be from smithers. This will cause a direct increase in the supply of gold bars, reducing the price. While the price of gold is high, using similar logic to those switching methods away from gold ores, miners will switch to gold ores keeping the price relatively stable and therefore the demand for gold ores stable (not to mention the cost of other methods increasing too) It is my belief that the price of gold ores will stay relatively stable, with an increase in both supply and demand, however the price of gold bars should fall due to an increase in the supply of gold bars. Arguably perhaps crafters may see profit and buy the excess supply, but I feel that is in the longer term. Please, point me out if i'm wrong or you think otherwise, my economic knowledge may be inferior to yours, but this is what I would forecast happening and if I could "short sell" gold bars, I more than likely would.

As the posters above me have said.. What you want to be doing is making them into amulets of some kind I don't know if you'll make/lose money putting gems in the amulets too but I know that if you just do gold amulets you double the value of your bars. Once you have the amulets it's up to you, you can string them for a few K mage exp or sell them for profit. Edit: Oh and as Gold Ores are rising the increase in supply of Gold Bars should rise, devaluing your bars.. So whatever you're doing, i'd get a move on. Although don't panic sell them

I don't really think this has the discussion value that threads in General Discussion require. I'm not sure if this is a rant or not so perhaps edit it to give it further room for discussion or ask a mod to move it to rants?

Also another thing to consider is that dragon bones are always going to be rising (over the span of the time to get lvl 99) so if you have already bought them, selling them back and buying them later will be more expensive. Where as with herblore, the price of the herbs are staying fairly stable. Not really, I got 85 herb a few months ago, and the most reasonable option cost 25gp/exp; a few days ago when getting 92, the cheapest was 31-32gp/exp (excluding noob methods like cleaning, 207s, or making unf). Making (unf)s certainly isn't reccomended :smile: OT: Personally, as a "DKer" more than anything else I chose prayer first because I too have a Yak so I will be brewing in place of my food negating extremes. The other thing is that prayer seems more "universal" to me, I can use soul split and turmoil in more situations than I would find extremes plausable. In a simple prayer or herblore question - prayer
