The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Random thought for the UN. (Link is seperate from quote) http://www.nationstates.net/page=WA_past_resolutions/council=1 Might be fun to have a weekly resolution....gives us something to do between invading stuff, bombing stuff, arguing about bombing and invading stuff, saying we are researching stuff, arguing about that...and whatever else it is we do. Thus if you agree then please just say 'I agree with Resolution 1' and I will create a seperate thread so that the Resolutions don't get lost under the weight of postings.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I am so glad that I don't have to feel guility for trying to do some reading.... Ok then: FOAB weighs 7,100 Kg ICBMs can launch approximately 3,000 Kgs at current capacity. Thus any Turkish ICBM would have to be considerably larger than the traditional ICBM to accomodate the bomb. Now then researchly the FOAB could be decreased by, say 100 Kilograms a year, down to maybe 6,000 Kg. Thus, assuming Turkey decided to tie three ICBMs together, and launch said attacks, it would take the bombing totals down to 108 missiles. Thus 27 got through. As such I will recalculate. Bring out the GodModding First Attack: Missiles were targetted at Toyota(The town), Tokyo and Sayama. Effectively destroying 50% of the Honda-Toyota structure, rending the company incapacited for the next 10 years. In addition to this Japan takes a 9% GDP cut, with 5% growth decrease for the next 12 years, along with 13 Million casualties, 12.3 million of them being in Tokyo itself. Japanese 'Bunker' plans shown to be woefully inadquate as only .4 million managed to survive using them. Tokyo has been fairly devestated by the attack and will five years to clear up(The World Trade Center took 2 years to clear up with 24 hour clean up operations...) Japanese Morale has plummeted. Militart Casualities stay the same. Second Attack: South Korea was STILL targetted, and thus defensive countermeasures were destroyed, thus the North Koreans took advantage of the situation and have conqured South Korea in the interim. Indonesia was also still targetted, and thus defensive countermeasures were destoyed, thus the Italians took advantage of the situation and have conquered the whole south side of the Indonesian Rim after negotiating with Australia the area has been placed and joint control and construction of Anti-Invasion countermeasures have been begun, using Japanese POWs. The Japanese Fleet has been reduced from 400 ships to 328, including the loss of 5 Aircraft Carriers with 5,000 Aircraft, along with 290,000 casualities from the whole attack. The Phillipines and Taiwan have reaffirmed their independance from Japan after protests with the International Cartography Agency. ICBMs have been banned by the UN Switzerland has set up the U3(World Union) Which has the State Rights Declaration, instead of the the Human Rights Declaration, which states, emphatically, that no nation should interfer with another state by any method, regardless of how they feel about that state. The only exception to this is, and forever will be, war. The U3 also legalises all forms of warfare, including nuclear. Thus ending the Treaty of Geneva. (Nuclear weapons will not, of course, be insta-built, or probably ever built, but the opinion is there....ALL NATIONS MUST ANNOUNCE, AND THIS MEANS PUBLICALLY, AND MUST BE VALIDATED, PUBLICALLY, BY EITHER ARCHI OR SERE, THEIR BUILDING OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS, THIS IS A GAME MECHANIC AND NON-OPTIONAL, FAILURE TO ADHERE WILL RENDER YOUR NUCLEAR WEAPONS IMPOTENT) Membership to the UN and U3 are mutually exclusive. The U3 already has the membership of North Korea, Sri Lanka, the Dutch Exile Party, the British Labour Party in Exile, India, Iraq, Iran, Syria and Cantalonia. Madagascar has ignored Japanese efforts to establish a 2 party system The Japanese Military recieved orders to launch Anthrax bombs at Italy, Australia and Turkey. However this crisis was adverted before it began by a belief that Bio-Weapons should only be used as a last resort by the Commander in Chief of the General Staff. The whole story was leaked to the press. The UN has voted under: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Security_Council_Resolution_1674 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UN_General_Assembly_Resolution_377 To investigate Japan for breaches of International Law. Currently they are waiting on Japan to accept inspectors. If Japan does not accept the inspectors then the International Justice Courts will ask for the extradition of the Japanese Emperor, as well as all those involved with the manufacture of Genocidal Weapons. If Japan does accept the inspectors then all Genocidal weapons will be confiscated and Japan will be dismissed from the Security Council have given a 20 year veto from entering the Security Council under terms of the General Assembly Resolution 377 and GAR 96/23, which states that Security Council Members are not above the UN and must abide by the same rules as all other members. Also Automagically transfering research is hereby disallowed. If you spend 1, 10 or 100 years researching something you cannot switch it for something else just because A ) It is deemed Illegal, B ) You got the Physics wrong, C ) You don't want it any more. You can destroy research, but you do not get anything for that. This can be overturned by agreement with BOTH Archi and Sere, but will only ever be done in special cases, none of which spring to mind. This is final. Any specific Queries can be resolved when I get back on properly. [hide][/hide] This year at number 1 on Christmas Day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTDpzZOOVGw

Cause and Effect. A pushes B, B fires C, C releases a deadly biotoxin and kills 3 Billion people world wide....even if A only wants to exterminate 1 country they can find themselves facing mass extinction. Anyway, I am now going going so play safe.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Hmmm, flying my view after an argument with Sere: Is this gonna happen with Global Warming, RFGs, Lasers, my Defences....just about everything that isn't 'Fifty Bazillion troops advance'... 'Its over powered! Something bad happened, oooo how terrible it is for all of us. I think we should ban it.' WW2 on Hegemony: 'Sorry Hitler, we are banning the Panzar, its too over powered, not even 4 of our tanks can kill one of it. By the way you now about annexing France? That didn't happen either, your tanks were too slow. Oh and now your people are revolting...yeah I know you said you were brainwashing them but its just overpowered if you can go around invading places without people getting angry with you. Then we have you V1 and V2 rockets...Like how is Britian supposed to defend against them? 15% of them get though and do tonnes more damage than if you were just bombing them...I know you spent 4 years on them, but really it would be OP if we let you have them.' 'I don't think computers are really very likely, do you Mr Churchill? After all Germany spent 20 years researching the Enigma and you just come along with ULTRA and defeat it in 1 year...Oh right, the Polish gave you the codes...I think thats called Proxying, so that didn't happen, so I think we can say that DDay didn't happen either.' 'Roosevelt I Lolled when I read you were entering the war. Germany is like 1 country, with Italy which is run by an idiot, you can't just come into the war and be like 'I am using my massive industry to build 200,000 planes a year' you would just own Adolf and he might quit. Then I saw your Hiroshima post, I actually fell off my chair. There is NO WAY that in 4 years you could build a bomb that could blow up a city, its just completely unrealistic, also the 'fallout' stuff, I think it is way over powered...Mutations for the next EIGHTY YEARS, like how are they going to recover from that!' 'Mao...What are you on? You have like 100,000 people. You can't go around conquering almost a billion people with an army like that...in like 4 years! Its just totally unrealistic....Oh right...they were fight Japan at the same time....HELLO! YOU WERE FIGHTING JAPAN TOO.' Other examples: 'Ok Lenin...Russia just happened to revolt did it? A massive country like that just happened to revolt and you seized power...And what about Nicolas...he's going to have to Quit now...I think that the whole thing is just going to not have happened.' 'Victoria...You just happened to inherit the British Empire, I think there will be mass revolts about you annexing a quarter of the globe...and whats this about having a fleet twice as large as the 2nd and 3rd largest....Its totally overpowered to do that, and you people won't stand for having such a massive fleet so Britian has a Civil war...sorry, but its the only way.' 'Ug, what do you mean you invented language! Don't you know how OP that is! How is Bug, Thum and Ma going to compete with you now? And whats this about 'convicing other people to help you', PROXY!!!! So lets just say you didn't kill that mammoth...you didn't develop pointed sticks, and you certainly didn't become a super power 140,000 years later....140,000 years! I think it would take at least a million, if not two... And thats if you don't proxy....Oh and this...THIS, you just 'happened' to develop Stone Axes...You didn't even spend 1 year researching them and now you are going around killing antalope with them! Thats like an Ant killing a Human!' 'Bismark, sorry but Napolean III has said that he thinks that uniting Germany was totally OP and amounts to Proxying, then you say you beat him and took Alsace-Lorraine from him... Well I can tell you that he is gonna quit so it looks like you are gonna have to just give it back and pretend the whole thing didn't happen.' Thus I am against blanket banning stuff from the game...if the UN want to ban something, then fine, everone in the UN can be banned from it. Switzerland will announce the World Union or U3, which is an alternative to the UN, since Rule 5 states -You can make or join an alliance, but your alliances rules only apply for the members in your alliance. Thus the ban on things 'should' only relate to the alliance that agreed to...ie no Nukes, no ICBMs, no Chemical Weapons. Also, about the 'Cold War' thing... Russia and China are fighting a war and they haven't used ICBMs against each other... The whole point of WMDs existing is that when a nation feels powerless, as does Australia, Turkey and Italy(Italy I guess is more there for the land though) and places like Switzerland, North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan...ect ect... they can stand up and fight a more powerful enemy without being totally owned when they field their tiny army, backed up by tiny economy. Anyway just my 2 Cents(though more a Dollars worth there) I will be back Saturday.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
British Broadcasting Corporation News Report: "Moments laters shots were fired at the Camara Man the the AFNS reporter, both were killed instantly. But what started this conflict off? Well reports indicate that Dutch Seperatists stormed the House of Representatives over the emotive issue of Civil Rights, which has been under scrutiny by the Federal Government as an 'Unneccessary Evil' and have been being rolled back for some time now. It is unclear how far this sentiment has spread in the Dutch Federation, but has proved that Freedom of Speech is dangerous, and must be guarded from improper use. It is currently unclear how many congressional senators were killed in the shooting, but what is clear is that American and British Federation troops are being sent to the Dutch Federation to secure peace, and we will bring you more on this as it develops.' ______________________ To all, due to circumstances mildly beyond my control I am leaving for 2 or 3 days. I shall try to be back Friday, if not then I will be Saturday, much passed then and I am dead, or my computer is =P. Any questions or issues then please refer them to Sere for Hegemony, Ross for Dungeoneering...and stevepole for generally moderatorery stuff(though he has not been warned that I am leaving so be gentle) If there is something majorly major...can't think what....Then please tell stevepole, or another moderator or an admin... I would much prefer not to come back to find a black hole. Anyway, gone and gone.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Russia breaks Ceasefire with China, in Mongolia. Frightful scenes earlier today as huge tanks and arimes began marching from Northern Mongolia to the heartland. Early on it seemed that the Chinese would have a field day when the Russians attacked the city of Altay with a force some half the size of the defending force. Even the terrifying Rail Gun tank was not enough, and what is worse is that one of the tanks was captured! Much the same story at Olgiy, though, for one reason or another, China parachuted its troops in. However the Russian attack on Moron has steamrolled the Chinese, kicking them out of the city entirely, then going on to captured Tsetserleg and Bayangongor, before finally being stopped outside of Arvayheer. A second massive assault engaged the cities of Bulgan and Erdenet, capturing the first, and encircling the second. However part of the encircling force then had to depart for Ulaanbaatar, where it met up another arm of the Russian army, and the two sides attack strongly, breaking the will of the Chinese defenders and capturing the capital city. Subsequently the Russians attacked the city of Choybals, but, like their other attacks, failed to gain any advantage due to undermanning. Casualties are thus: 14,000 Russian 19,000 Chinese 4,000 Civilians killed by Russian attacks. Plan of attack [hide][/hide] Current: [hide][/hide]

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Its a dark night as the beleged Archimage A travels though the towering walls of the Hegemony complex 'I am getting too old for this' she thinks to herself, that and 'I need to work magic into this damned game so I can teleport.' Finally she reaches the council chamber, the place that players play...There she see Sere, sitting in his Draconic Chair. "Did you bring it?" He asks in a hush "I did" She replies "Good." Archimage A slides the briefcase onto the table. "Are you sure?" "Yes" He said with a glint of mischief in his eye. "Very well" Inside the case was a sheaf of papers, and beneath them was a pen. "And I just sign here?" "Yes, I can do the rest." Sere signs the papers. "Very Good, I shall make the preperations."

Well, its very probable that Japan's last move will destroy Turkey, so we might lose a second player.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Turkey Strikes Again Reports are coming in of another Turkish attack on Japan, however this one has been targetted on purely military targets, primarily focused inside Indonesia, as opposed to the Japanese homeland. Over 300 further ICBMs have rained down, destroying some 196 ships, scattered across 18 battle groups. The death toll has reached 100,000, along with some 2300 aircraft in the sea attack alone, at which only 40 of the 325 were targeted. The other 285 were targetted at Japanese military bases spread along the Indonesian Rim. Italian forces, acting under their own initative, though it has been suggested that Turkish confirmation was given, have continued to advance Eastwards after the fleet blocking the crossing point was destroyed. The army, still weak from the their prior exertions, has advanced as far south as Malang before encountering belegered Japanese troops. S-Net interviews see the horribly burned corpses, which are stil alive, telling Japan to 'Surrender, there is nothing left for us...Someone save the children.' Sufficing to say that Japan has been left deeply troubled by this. Otherwise Japan has suffered some 53 Stratos Jet destructions, some 12,000 normal aircraft destroyed, 90,000 solider deaths and almost 200,000 more injured. The Indonesian press office has released statements condeming the attack, but also stating that Japan cannot afford to look after that many injured individuals and is asking Australia, China and Italian control Indonesia for immediate aid, before more people die. When questioned as to why the missile defence system proved ineffective again, the Japanese Embassy in the Federation(America) stated that Civilian's must be protected first, hence why the system had not been rearmed close to naval bases and military installations. South Korea was also heavily attacked, losing much of its defensive infrastructure, which quickly lead to North Korea seizing the upperhand in the conflict and capturing the South. America has yet to repsond. The Japanese home islands were relatively unscathed after an 'Australian' spy was caught in Yemen, who passed her to Turkey, who discovered that the 'Australian' was really Japanese! She did reveal, though, that civilians had taken refuge in military bases for the duration. To reiterate: 100,000 sailors 90,000 Soliders killed, 200,000 injured, 30,000 captured. 53 Stratos Jets 14,300 Aircraft 196 ships Turkey lost: 325 ICBMs Italy lost: 200 soliders

I am increasingly beginning to think that a massive dome of bullet proof glass, with an isolated air supply and a bazillion laser turrets on the outside, with radiation generators, acid cannons, biobombs, rocket cannons, cannon cannons and sonic disruptors....might not be enough. Switzerland begins developing an invunrability device, designed to withstand the big bang....it is estimated to withstand hegemony for up to 5 days. (Joke)

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Thanks Ico, but it doesn't really make a huge difference. Everyone is shocked, but, since the UN has been completely unresponsive life has gone on, with the attacks being forgotten with Series CXXII of Turkey's Got Talent.

Retech I said Mather would need a few hundred billion dollar missile system...thats in addition to your couple of hundred billion dollar missile system...and that would be to protect your from 99% of missiles for, maybe, 2 years, then you would need to go around rearming, replacing and all that jazz, probably costing 100 billion a year after that. Added to that, don't you think that 200 billion dollars is a bit much to be spending out of a budget of 1 Trillion....just on protecting yourself from missiles...thats 1/5 of your budget gone...in addition to all your other projects...
