Retech the UN is there to make sure no one kills Civilians and to defuse the situation...they are not gonna instantly give back the islands so that you can continue on your venge-quest against Australia...nor are they going to let Australia and co use the islands to mount an assault into Japanese territory. The UN troops will stay there until it becomes reasonable for them to withdraw without fear of the war instantly reigniting.

Quite simply that 3 ICBMs provide 9,000Kg of lift...A FOAB weighs between 6,000 and 7,100 Kg(depending on how researched it is) Ergo 3 ICBMs can lift a FOAB warhead.

Bio-Weapons will, almost assuredly, spread esspecially something like Aerosalised Anthrax which can 'lie dormant' for decades... You launch one of them and 10 years down the line someone could be digging and become infected...get on a plane, travel somewhere, and Anthrax threatens massive portions of the planet.

Errr...you would put about 360 up for every one you want...then you would have them orbit around the planet...round and round, like a massive conveyor belt, so that you always had one somewhere near the place you want to protect...I would need to do some crazy physics to work out exactly how many you needed...and to be honest I don't feel like it, so 360 unless someone can prove otherwise.

It doesn't really matter how many Satalites you have, its the matter about it being near impossible to keep them in Orbit above Russia...since Orbital Physics states that something needs to be over the equator for it to remain in geostationary orbit, and even then would move out of that orbit every so often... But, yeah, you are right about the Smoke Machine, unless the missile slowed down, or was pumping out smoke at some speed it would be very hard to do....Course what you could do is put an 'arm' straight ahead of the missile, which would produce the smoke, allowing it to blow over the missile...which would at least slow down the targetting of the missile. If you put a Satalite in Stationary Orbit above Russia then it would not be able to move without deorbiting, or at least would be tricky to get back to not moving. 4. Inverse Square Law http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse_square_law Would render long range, powerful, lasers fairly ineffective. So either you need to pump energy into them(Which is fine, but 5 per...5 miles? Would be a fairly massive amount of electricity) Also you have dust scattering...so if you strapped a smoke machine, or something, to a ICBM, you could negate the laser defences(Unless you used a hell of alot of electricity)

More things beyond your current level of control are causing them to go wrong.

Well, in anycase, they have some ICBMs. Ok, then I am not calculating attacks until I get confirmation or denial of Chinese, Russian and Federation support the UN plan to occupy the areas outlined. I....see The UN kicks Japan out of the UN and issues an all country embargo for the deaths of 30 American prison officers, 2 pilots and 4 catering staff, who were killed by the Robot Decoy Japan sent. The UN has condemned Japan's conduct during the war, and the continued beligerance of the power, despite continued calls for peace and settlement over the issues involved by both sides. Further more Japan is still understood to have a Biological Weapon Arsenal and thus must immediately cease and desist while UN weapon inspectors confiscate the articles. Again this has been done under resolution 377 since Japan is/was on the Security Council. The UN has decreed that Russia, the Federation and China are to sent 30% of their armed forces, under the terms of the Sere Directive, to intervene in Indonesia immediately, placing the area under UN protection, allowing neither side to exploit the local situation. The UN has also demanded that North Korea immediately withdraws from South Korea and asks the Federation to send troops to liberate the area should the requests go unheeded. The Phillipine Government has rejected urges to rejoin the Federation, esspecially since being threaten with economic destruction if they did not comply. As such they have invited Italian Corporations to take up the mantle from Japan, should Japan continue to withdraw its Economic Stimulus. COSS has unexpectedly deorbited, crashing headlong into Haakonsvern, destroying a large part of the Scandinavian Navy and cutting a large portion of the supply lines to the underwater cities. Reports of starvation are coming in, as well as people trying to escape from the cities, flooding out parts of them. The Swiss Navy, on loan from the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, happened to be conducting training exercises in the area over some of the underwater cities, and have been evacuating them. However the cities showed signs of rapid decay, and thus have collapsed. Chinese RFG measures have run into some unexpected problems with some of the rods being unexpectedly triggared, fortunately no one was injured when they crashed ineffecively into the Pacific Ocean, however the UN has freaked out and is demanding instant removal of the RFG system until the source of this inexplicable force can be identified. In other news, Uzbekistan has declared independance and has shot the Turkish collaborators and any Turk who happened to be in the country at the time. Casualties indicate some 3,000 civilian deaths and 200 military deaths. The new Uzbekistan Independance Party has announced an immediate end to the war with Turkey, less the ICBMs that were installed in their country should 'accidently' fall into Japanese hands or be launched on Turkey itself. Tensions have continued to rise in the Dutch Federation with calls for Independance being acknowladged by all parties, except the Federation Party, which currently holds power. The elections, starting in 2 months time, will likely lead to an immediate change in power though.
