  1. Splines are smooth curves...basically you put yourself in a seperate relatity...though with all the same laws of physics. I don't think I am allowed to sucide a nation <_<
  2. I blame feminism...and the lack of idiot males(go me) to stay at home while the woman/other guy/guys/women works. The old, pre-feminist, system wasn't good, but at least children got educated by someone...Should have taken away the freedom of men to work rather than given freedom to both...Since now the freedom not to work has been taken away from both, thus even if the man(in my case) would rather like the idea of staying home and looking after the house/kids/whatever, they can't. Actually mum said something quiet interesting the other day....People seem to think Coffee gives your more energy. Coffee doesn't(Just so you know) but people think it does and then don't understand why they are still tired...Or all the energy drinks, which was her main example, they don't give you extra energy they just borrow it from the future. On a mildly related note Americans take too many pills. When one of my American friends came over she took this 'Five hour energy shot' thing, after staying awake for god knows how long, and fell asleep...It can't be good when your body is that exausted. It also underlines the problem, since, when she woke up, she couldn't understand why she had fallen asleep because the bottle/packet/whatever said 'Five hours extra energy'. Then we had an argument because she was sure that it gave her extra energy, where as I said it borrowed energy from the future, which she refuted by pointing at the bottle... People are just suckered in by the omissions made by the companies...and no one puts them right because no one knows they have got it wrong...
  3. Which software and isn't it a bit late to say you are going to buy it?(6pm) Might be fun. Ross collapes his space into a Splinal Bubble.
  4. What do we expect from a generation that watches TV rather than communicates with their parents...TV shows can't substitute good parenting because kids want to ask questions and do ask questions...but when the extent of their knowladge is almost entirely false: Not only false but introduces ideas that are counter productive, it stands to reason that common knowladge and society in general is going to suffer. As for the questions themselves. Eggs was the easiest, since I and my mum bake a lot of bread. The Bacon one was probably from asking her at some point, otherwise just generally the taste is different from chicken or beef or mutton....The oat one made me think for a second, but was obvouisly not from a tree since oats are nothing like apples or oranges...or horsechest nuts, or even the funny glider things. Though I suppose people thought you mined Syrup from the ground for quite a long time...and you ate bannanas whole(Skins on) so general ignorance is nothing new.
  5. Mather...the point is that there was a tendancy for me to recieve 'I built a coil gun that could shoot though Dusty's armour' and I am keen not to repeat that, so suggested a standard Rail Gun based on a concrete design, which could be dropped, kicked and stomped on, but still fire at the end of it.
  6. 1 And? 2 And? 3 And? 4 Your point is? 5 Everywhere is destablised at one time or another, they don't automatically join the country next to them.
  7. Look, it doesn't really matter because you won't prove your point because I doubt any of us knows any more than the fundermentals of a coil gun or rail gun....I am just going on the Military report, as quoted originally...Which was written by people who do know what they are talking about.
  8. Well Singapore doesn't know that the world has suddenly taken a massive downturn so... South Korea is protected by the UN and USA. Ireland is plagued with political instability, doesn't mea they join Britian....
  9. @Grim Switerzland offically protests of the German troops entering its territory. Russia, Britian, France, Italy and significant portions of Germany see the war as wrong, as per the Congress of Vienna. Britain, France and Italy tabel a motion to expel Germany from the EU. Britian and Italy tabel motions to expel Germany from NATO. Britian, Russia and France tabel motions to expel Germany from the UN. Germany itself opposed the Chancellor and in a vote would probably carry 5/6ths. Switzerland thanks its guarenteers and general mobilisation is declared incase Germany actually goes though with its threats. (No one screws with me.) @Mather Hence replacing the barrel and ammution is more efficent than rebuilding the gun after every shot to replace the capacitors... There are numerous other problems with the coil gun which simply do no exist in the Railgun, instead all the problems are in the rails themselves, which can replaced, as stated. Also railguns can develop rapid fire if so required, where as coil guns lack this capacity, due to the magnetic saturation. @Sere [hide][/hide] Also I think moderation should take place by all countries...anyone with an interest in preserving a neutral country can use history to build an alliance to fight the power. I will moderate like I did on Hegemony(in the beginning) Everyone currently has a 1 to 1 on soliders and 1 to 5 on Tanks. Defenders get a +50%. If you do any research then please discuss with me how much you think your modifier should increase by...Anyone who doesn't discuss with me will not have the modifer changed, regardless of what tech they have. Discussions with me must began at least 24 hours before you use your army offensively, though for defences I will accept a late discussion.
  10. Can I just submit this proposal as defacto standard rail/coil/gauss gun...just to avoid the confusion with the ultra power guns that were invented on Hegemony 2
  11. Not the best angle (Retech NP, I wasn't expecting to be done till tommrow anyway, since evolving would take rather a while)
  12. I, Archarnis the First, do hereby pledge my alligence to the Swiss Confederacy. I promise to serve as the figurehead and guiding body at these times of trouble, and to respect the federal system which I have admired for so long. I have been elected by the majority to act as a King, in the short term, due to the chaos developing in Malyasia right now. My first action is to withdraw from the insidous United Nations Organisation, which has plagued our fair country since we joined not long ago. We will of course allow them to operate within our boarders, in accordance with our treatries, but we refuse to be represented by any body which might engender our neutrality. My second action is to announce an increased national service proclaimation. We shall keep the same military staff and training, this will simply be to bring young and unemployed people to the community of which we are all a part off. My third and final action this day is to declare that I shall not change any of the economic systems currently in place for at least five years, indeed supposing I will still be required in five years(I will...I will think of something). Thank you. PS. Large Hadron Collider involved in Partical Accelerator research. Watchmakers have been brought in, in an attempt to minaturise the Accelerators to weaponised size. Higgs Boson is declared unlikely and the search for it is stopped, pending French disagreement. Annexure of the LHC will also occur unless France objects. If it does then we will not raise the point again(for the forseeable future) The Swiss Guard renews ties with the Vatican casting Christianity as the saviour of mankind.
  13. The Casthens begin an extensive program of religious breeding 'parties' to become to the perfect being(I will just repeat ad infinium till I get the mix I want Key: Yellow are movement sensitive stalks, they detect water movement, similar to pass sonar. There are two sets(so 4 in total) to render a fairly 3D image Red are light sensitive clusters...They only have a few centimeters(since they are only a few milimeters long) worth of sight, but it should be enough for now. There are two sets of light sensitive clusters(6 in all) and they are located fore and aft. Together they provide 99600 degrees of sight. The only area they cannot see is directly above their heads. The brown (difficult to see, sorry, basically the green splodges) are light transmitters and recievers. They are the bits that glow, and the bits that detect glowing...They can basically tell the luminosity of something but no fine details. The orange are the fins and are basically the main form of movement, beyond snake-like muscle movement anyway. The blue are pressure sensitve stalks, basically whiskers, to prevent them entering holes they can't fully fit though. They also double as extra sensitive movement sensors when it water/liquid. Finally the darkish purple is the mouth, it is in the middle of the Whiskers. It doesn't really have any offensive weapons since they want to get eaten. Genders are thus. The Coptex The Centex The Kaytex The Ceetex The Kintex The Coptex must first create the ova, which must be passed to the Centex though the act of copulation(hence the name) which then reborn in a hard shelled egg. The Centex birth the egg in stages, focused around the center(the curved bit) a little bit like a pearl is formed, all the while passing on genetic material. The Kaytex the checks the egg to make sure it ok and implants some of its own genetic material. The Ceetex then conducts a grand light show in celebration of the eggs formation, then passes its genetic codes on. The Kintex then carries the egg until it hatches, and, while not passing on any material, looks after and raises the baby Casthens. The mating is fairly complicated...but the mating ritual is even more complicated! The Coptex comes to ovulation once a year and choses a Centex. The Coptex then wraps itself around the Centex and force passes the egg. The Centex rarely wants to have to birth the egg and thus the Coptex will stay wrapped, eventually being digested by the Centex to form the egg itself. The Centex, once free from the Coptex then let the egg go...since the Centex and Coptex will always be near enough immobile for some weeks it is almost always birthed on the ground. The Kaytex then swarm about half a year after the Coptex first produces the egg and fight for dominance over the eggs, hoping to get as many as possible. The Ceetex then bring gifts and do their grand light show for the Kaytex who controls the most eggs, the Kaytex then eats the Ceetex that is the best(and hasn't been eaten by another Kaytex)(The Ceetex allows itself to eaten by the best Kaytex). The Kaytex then passes its, and the Ceetex's, genetic material to the eggs by smearing fluroine rich blood across the egg surface(Which as we know will soak though...) A dominate Kaytex will die before serving all the eggs. The Kintex, which is by far the most common, usually because they are the simplist to produce(Having roughly 1/5 of the chromosomes, but most of the intelligence, strength and such), will then adopt a single egg, which it will raise as its own, before eventually dying and being eaten by the babies. Of all the genders only the Centex and Kintex have a lifespan longer than a mating season. The Centex can last for maybe seven generations, while the Kintex only last about two years. However all of the genders, except the Kintex, are interchangable, similar to the way clown fish are interchangable, thus why they have such massive chromsomes. Generally each egg will birth 50 live Castens, and 5 will fall into each class, except the Kintex, which makes up 25 of the live Casthens. In many ways this reflects the religious manner of their lives, essentially all going round and round in a circle...as well as the canabalistic side of them. Not to mention the Ceetex's light display which shows how massively the glowing/bio-lum gene develops over time. Hopefully I will get some points for describing this nice complicated system...Which translates as: 3 Casthens will die to produce 1 egg, which takes 1 year to reach maturity, but that 1 egg will birth 50 Casthens, 5 of which will be Coptex, 5 Centex, 5 Kaytex, 5 Ceetex, who are all immediately fertile, especially the Coptex who are only discouraged from mating with its brother Centex by strong instinctal habits, and 25 Kintex who are totally infertile. Of these the Centex tend to be strong warriors, having successive generations of Coptex hanging off them gives them a number of spines that they can use as weapons, these, though, can be a bad thing as they can tear the Centex open, thus killing him. However most of the genetic advantages of being a Casthen go to the Kintex, who can live sixty or so years before fathering children, but will die two years later to sustain the next generation. All of the other types can live up to 90 years, but rarely make their second year due to mating requirements. Thus population growth is fairly exponetial, reproducing at a rate of 47 per year. However the next generation will only yield 235 live Casthen, rather than the potential 2350 if they were all asexual or 1175 if they were disexual. (Years are used as a generic term, not exact, since the 'year' is marked by the beginning of the mating season.) Microb Bob is reborn after a number of generations as the illustrious 6th sex, the Architex(Sheer coincidence actually, no seriously, it was), which is extreme, extremely rare. The Architex can reproduce asexually, and produce any of the 4 sexually active ones, but not the Kintex or other Architex. Typically Architex are born when Archi(Hence their name) wishes to interefer in their lives...Thus Architexs are demi-gods. Course a heratic, long ago, suggested that Architex are just the evolutionary ancestor which created the five genders because of some idea someone had that 5 sexes would make more powerful babies. The fact that this is true is neither here nor there. Anyway Microb Bob wonders what has changed inside the fish stomach. Give me points!!!!
  14. Microb Bob says to explore their home, wondering if there are any other areas they can get to, and if any other fish have arrived yet.
  15. Abersyweth, in Wales
  16. =P Its not really school, I am at Uni =P
  17. I have a feeling that I am just not gonna get round to it. Between revision, studying and this damn problem I have just recently I think tonight is not a good night <_< Anyway we will be back on thursday, if not then on friday...Sorry about this, I just really can't do another 45 hour day....
  18. Do hope we are not on Earth...it would seriously screw the game up if we just divided the planet like we have already done in the real world...
  19. To Russia! *Attempts to discover Uranium and the Atom bomb before the wheel* Mwhwhahah
  20. Microb Bob quickly deduces that 2 walruses make 1 baby...but they are stronger...Thus the aim of the Casthens is to develop 5 sexes! Any, before that can happen the Casthens continue to eat and reproduce, coming to an eventual total of 600.
  21. Double Yay Microb Bob and co begins devouring the small fish and looking around for what is around, and then mitosising with the extra energy.
  22. By my memory I do. Microb Bob sends out people to look around, trying to find out what their new home holds.
  23. It will take 5 years to compute it.
  24. Microb Bob has no idea what it is...so goes off to explore elsewhere...still looking for a large fish to swallow the group.
