Page 500  How posts like this lead to Hegemony being a dead horse: Post 1: Requesting a Pizza. Post 2: Oh, and you can send me any Pizza. Post 3: That doesn't look like a very good Pizza why don't you make a Pizza like I want. Post 4: I don't understand why you want to put tomatoes in the Tomato Paste, Gravy would be better. Post 5: Are you sure you know how to make Pizzas? You are using too much flour. Post 6: You know, if I was making that Pizza I would be using Gravy. Post 7: Well I won't be eating that Pizza, it has Tomatoes and Bread in it. Post 8: Requesting a Pizza. Dozens of Hegemonies have been set up, and each and every time people whine and complain that in their Hegemony all their ideas work and they rule the world by the third turn, so the Mod must be doing it wrong. Some players have no idea what balance is, and see every action taken by the Moderator as a direct attack on them. To be honest, its not suprising the majority of Hegemony Mods have given up...considering how some players behave.

Just thrice listened to the ending, compared with the rest of the song. The song has two instruments (that I can tell), a Piano and some stringed instrument (I assume Violin...mostly because I like violins)...But anyway: Through most of the song the instruments work in relative harmony, with two different tunes (though similar) that reinforce each other, though they do occassionally switch...But at the end the two are just put in juxtaposition, with seeming the same three stringed notes, and the same [word for when you use your hand to press a number of contagious keys on a piano at the same time] being repeated in harsh opposition to each other (Juxtaposition). This following a building cresendo...so it is even more juxtaposed. But, simply, the whole song is building, moving forwards and such...Then you get 'DUN, dundundun dundundun dundundun dun dun dun dun.' All of the same tone...totally different from the ebb and flow of the rest of the tune....Even in the bits that sound pretty similar, there is a change of tone...The ending misses that. What he needed was something more like this ending: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12603519/saibuster-hyprespace.mp3 So rather than dying mid song, it faded out...ready to begin again. For instance compare: (Specific bit is about 4:00-4:07, but for context) And (Again, specific bit is 4:30-4:37) One, fufilling and you go 'Yeah, thats a good song' The other, 'Wait, what?' Ironically he does a much better job at 2:24 to 2:34. The song flows together, and you aren't left going 'What happened there? I was listening to a nice song and then, suddenly, without warning, it disappeared into a badly cobbled together ending!' On an entirely unrelated point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoQb8vb4blA&feature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKqI10LAhfs Huzzah for 50th consecutive hour of listening (Wireless headphones for bathroom breaks, CD player on low for sleeping, and on low when I am talking or otherwise engaged in activities that require my ears...The electrical revolution has definately produced some screwed up results.) Soon to join the ranks of songs I have listen to so much that they become irritating to listen to and I end up not listening to it for a year or so... Probably got another hundred, maybe hundred and fifty hours of listening time before then. Only part of the song I am not fond of is the ending, doesn't really fit with the rest of the song.

End of the day its something that you do or you don't do. Nothing more, nothing less...Like chewing your finger nails. I don't need to be a technical expert to work out that if I tear the nail too much it will hurt like hell and potentially get infected. Similarly, if I was told that chewing my fingernails provides a special enzyme that reduced the risk of brain cancer...it wouldn't push me towards chewing my nails. I do it because I do it, and if I didn't, then I wouldn't. And if I didn't, but did sometimes, then I wouldn't, except when I did. People should take the same view about sexuality. Would make life much easier.

As was established last year, this isn't a valid argument. Its like arguing that a child provoked you into punching it hard in the face it by crying it was hungry...It is totally out of proportion. This, indeed, can be seen by the fact I wasn't banned, and you were. The correct responce would have been: A) Argue. B) Not Argue. You chose option C: C) Punch them in the face. You need to take responsibility for your actions. If you don't you will do bad things with your eyes closed to the consequences. All of which linking back to the original point: You have a double standard of morals. If you didn't then you would own your mistakes, rather than choose to blame others. I mean, I take full responsibility for posting what I posted, and I can see how that lead to your post, which lead to you getting a ban. So there is a level of responsibility for me getting you banned, I take full account of that. There is also a much larger level of responsibility for you getting you banned, I take full account of that too. As such, because I don't see the world as black and white 'You are to blame and I am innocent', I can learn from my mistakes, without being consumed by guilt for something which I could not have reasonably prevented. Yup, could have prevented it. But everyone has 20/20 hindsight. At the time there was no way I could have known: You were going to flip out. Someone was going to report you. Someone else was going to suggest you were banned. Someone else was going to agree. Someone else was going to enforce it. And thus that you were going to get banned. I would suggest you don't flip out in the future though...Generally speaking arging with someone doesn't get you banned, flipping out at someone has a much larger risk.

Congratuations. You remember....this time last year? When there was that whole crisis over banning Hex. Yeah. Thats when everyone else discussed that. In relation to your other point...I didn't force you to be offensive, you have free will, you should exercise it. Also, as innevitably happens with philosphical debates, both people assume they are correct, and their ideas are mutually exclusive. You say 'Right' I say 'Moral'. I keep objectivity, you blow your top and get banned. Life goes on. Kinda highlights the general failing of language to articulate what is in the mind.

On the one hand, yes. On the other hand, Mather has commited numerous, public offences, of which whatever he did (didn't actually see it  ) was merely the last in a long line. As such he was probably banned as a cumulative punishment. ...Rather than the admin flipping out (no pun intented) and banning him for one thing.

Due to several factors beyond my control, and several factors within my control...and it being the 4th of July for Americans(and everyone else, but doesn't have the same significance  ) there will be no session tonight. Next session with be Friday, with the return on the Unity.
-
Clearly solved Mather's problem... Contary to popular belief swearing at someone who argues with you does not solve any issue.

Tibet  Like that is even a real place. For people who get hissy, I know Tibet is a real place...thats why it is funny.

Happens to everyone...alot... I mean Space has had some pretty horrific screw ups in the past. But yeah, if you want to end this now then you should. I know what it is like willing yourself to mod a game that you don't believe in because you don't have time to put the effort in.

http://shoryuken.com/2011/06/29/trolling-the-stream-by-ultradavid/ It really isn't that bad. They are talking about making it a crime to engage in piracy, big suprise there. Sure, video game streams get caught in the crossfire...But then again, they shouldn't really be breaking the law in the first place, even if the official copyright owners don't actively discourage it...they don't encourage it either, now do they? I mean, any company that wanted to bypass this law could just stick a 'Stream/Record live action taken from within the game' clause into the purchase agreement, as opposed to the 'Play' cause. This is just a case of people unhappy with the fact they are, and always have been, thiefs...Passing the creations of others off as their own. Sure, you 'Play' the game, but so does the AI...You don't see the AI making thousands of dollars in sponsorship...The people who really deserve the credit are the people who created the game in the first place, and if they haven't given permission then you don't have any right to show it. Then again, if America wants to screw its internet markets I am all for that too.

Sterotypes are sterotypes for a reason. Now I say good day to you sir *Lifts bowler hat* I am off to sweep chimenies with my flying umbrella and shoot some goolies, before taking tea in the Billiard Room. Slang for Native Africans I was originally looking for this tune, and found the two alternate ones. I am still alive, their impotance is proved  And on a related to the other discussion point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNJkrXO1oqI&feature=related Adam Smith mispelled Causes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jo5GcYeh7XA&feature=related One of the things that really helped me become a slightly better speller....not looking at the keyboard. If you don't have a spell checker (IE8 Today, IE8 Tommorrow, IE8 FOREVER) then you NEED to learn how to touch type. Then you can look at the screen while you type and thus see the mistakes as you make them. Polotic looks wrong, but if I just typeed polotics, then I might not realuse I had made any mistakes untill I looked up again.

And when was there ever an Independantly elected President...Or 5 Indepenant Congressmen who agreed with each other? Booting someone out of the Republican Party ends their career(RON PAUL 2012!) Booting someone out of the Democratic Party makes you deeply unpopular because they were for/against abortion/kids with guns/the war/censorship...anything really. 'That man has a hat'.
-
Maybe...But generally Republicans have the same general set of beliefs. 'Socialism is Bad, Minorities are Unamerican' ect Democrats: 'We...err....Don't, not, not, don't, not, dislike Socialism.' 'Minorities are Unamerican, unless they are American, or a minority.'
-
On the other hand....most people vote Democrat because they oppose the Republicans and they don't have a viable alternative. So, innevitably, the Democrat party has more followers, but less people actually believe in what the party stands for. Do you know what would have happened if Russian hadn't invaded Georgia! THERE WOULD BE TERRORISTS ON EVERY STREET CORNER! YOU WOULD HAVE TO GIVE YOUR CHILD AN AK47 SO THEY COULD SHOOT PAST THE TERRORISTS ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL! EVERY OTHER BUS WOULD EXPLODE! CARS WOULD GROW LEGS AND BEGIN KICKING IN CHURCHES! THERE WOULD BE A BLACK WOMAN PRESIDENT! THE SOCIAL FABRIC WOULD DISINTERGRATE AND MEN WOULD MARRY HORSES! Its like saying 'There are five terrorists. Four of them blew themselves up in suicide attacks. How many terrorist attacks do they have left?' and coming up with the answer '42'. Pretty much this. America needs to, slowly, take the backseat, rather than bombing anyone who has a beard. They listened to him for over 150 years (1789 to 1940). What we really need is Roosevelt B. Franklin.

Thats just what we understand...the truth is far more shocking.
