  1. That is a really cool idea, make the prize room one hall away from the entrance stairway then when they get hit by the teleport trap make an oubliette really far back some where that is hard to get out of. Gives it an element of luck and frustration hehe. Btw, blue107, the monster combat levels aren't in the guide. That's why I ask.
  2. Oubliette with steel dragons on all four sides. THAT's what I'm talking about people. Don't just say the ultimate dungeon is an 18 room monster with fully upgraded stuff. Leave room for creativity.
  3. Does anyone know all the monster levels for each dungeon guard?
  4. There isn't any info center that I have seen with all the info on construction level required, monster level, price, ect... Now that's very vauge, "the max amount of rooms with best monsters and traps." That may be the hardest dungeon, but it lacks diversity and the random element that makes a dungeon creepy. Not to mention, should it be a maze with dead ends or just a straight path to the treasure room? Feel free to post your designs if you think YOU have the ultimate dungeon!
  5. Here are the different monsters. As I have not found any page anywhere that tells you both the monsters combat level and construction requirement. (level 22) Skeleton guard (70 con.) Coins x 50K (level 44) Guard dog (74 con.) Coins x 75K (level 54) Hobgoblin guard (78 con.) Coins x 100K (level 65) Baby red dragon (82 con.) Coins x 150K (level 81) Huge spider (86 con.) Coins x 200K (level 91) Troll guard (90 con.) Coins x 1 Million (level 122) Hellhound (94 con.) Coins x 5 Million ------------- (Level 82) Demon (75 cons.) Coins x 500K (Level 85) Kalphite soldier (80 cons.) Coins x 750K (Level 90) Tok-xil (85 cons.) Coins x 5 Million (Level 135) Dagannoth (90 cons.) Coins x 7.5 Million (Level 246) Steel Dragon (95 cons.) Coins x 10 Million
  6. Can you build the ultimate dungeon? The runescape knowledge base asks this question each time you browse through the construction manual to check the materials for something you want to build in the future. Now I'm thinking... what is the ultimate dungeon? Is it an 18 room monstrosity filled with a hellhound and teleport trap in every corridor? Does it start out easy for lower levels and get progressively harder for those after the prize? Is it a straight line? Is it a maze? What in your opinion makes the ultimate dungeon? Would you be more impressed with an army of hellhounds or more of a diversity of different monsters and traps to give it a natural element? If your answer to the question at the top of this post is YES post pictures of YOUR ULTIMATE DUNGEON!!
  7. By 'fittest' do you mean 'most selfish brat with the fastest internet connection?' Seriously... it's just plain sad. And amen to the IQ test idea.
  8. Anyone who has been setting up deadfall traps knows that most hunters are just plain rude. They steal your rocks, tell you to go to hell, and cuss constantly.... This is the story of one particularly "bright" hunter who tried to steal my spot at [puncture]ly kebbits. A level 69 walks up near my boulder. I ask him his hunting level and he steals my rock. I tell him there are plenty of rocks down south and he says they are all taken. He just keeps taking the rock and saying 'haha' and 'got it.' Now after about thirty seconds i literally see an open rock a bit to the north. I tell him there's an open rock and that I want my rock which I have been using for an hour. He says 'go away noob.' Of course, they all say that... I keep telling him to look north and he says 'no there not i checked' and 'to bad.' Eventually he goes up and takes the open rock after he figures out it's better than losing every other trap to me. So, any other vaguely amusing hunting stories out there? Let's hear 'em.
  9. Although all of the stats for the guthan spear are the same. (Stab, Slash, Crush) your opponents defense may not be. Certain monsters may be more vulnerable to a stab attack and therefore the first option would be better. This means some options may hit more damage, but as far as healing goes, the odds are always the same that you'll see those purple whisps.
  10. The text for the first one is in the image. Ehem, would you mind posting a link to the kbase article that says you need 60 fm to do the grant tree route...
  11. So 60 firemaking to burn logs in a hot air balloon? Fair enough.
  12. Um... question here! Why do you say the grand tree needs 60 firemaking when it requires mage logs... which are 70 firemaking...?
  13. Although 'not particularly the aim of this one' isn't very specific and is in no way legally binding.... I'll trust Paul.
  14. Never assume that Jagex increased the chances of random events. It is always just a stroke of luck. According to many people random events come in groups. I believe this, seeing as I got 2 mimes, a forrester, and about 8 mazes all in about 4 days. I havn't had a good random since then which was about a half a year ago. Jagex just doesn't mess with randomness.
  15. Ahah! A very good point which I overlooked... There are two possibilities... 1. Jagex increases the room limit. In this case make the costume room directly south of the combat room. Make sure a door remains on the south in case something else needs to go there. 2. Jagex doesn't increase the room limit and your house is full!!! Oh no!!! Well this stinks for me because all my rooms have at least 50k or so in them. My first thought would be to delete the parlour. However this might not work if the doors of the costume room don't match. In either case, I will update the design with the new room.
  16. Wow, I didn't expect to see my old thread bumped back up. I figured it was long deleted by now... Well as for the costume room.... I personally doubt that that there will be a new room. Read the BTS for October, it says "Magic Wardrobe" which would presumably go in the bedroom and "Treasure chest" which can go in bedroom or anywhere. I am, however, hoping that the room limit gets increased as that would allow people to use my house and dungeon design at the same time!
  17. I was forced to alch my painted rune kite. *sigh* No one told me the paint was perminant...
  18. The worst idea for a skill that I have ever seen actually posted is the trading skill...
  19. *Currently working on finishing every last quest. Only Rag and Bone Man/ Hand in the Sand left...* The majority of the time when a new quest is released I immidiatly drop my fletching, or fishing, or whatever and go start the quest. With new quests there are often hoards of people standing around. This really helps when you don't know where you're going. Just find the mass of white dots! I try to get new quests done before a guide is released so I'm not tempted to peek. With these old quests that I'm finishing up I use guides with no regret. They are just busy work. On the other hand, quests with super awesome plots are done without guides, NO exceptions!
  20. Yep! Haha  Kudos to chenw for that comment on a noob's perfect update! And to deangut for a very interesting point! :P
  21. Anyone who reads the recent updates forum knows it- the official RS forums are filled with complainers. No update to my knowledge has ever avoided complaints. Even the best, most anticipated update ever was flooded with complaints of being too expensive. Here's a few observations regarding recent news on the home page of runescape and how the forums reacted. 1. An update is made. Result: The recent updates forum is immidiatly have filled with- "What is the reward for new quest??" Indicating that such complainers have no desire to actually do a fun quest. If anyone is left who does quests mainly without guides not for the reward, please speak up! Within the next few days the forum is filled with random complaints about the reward of the new quest or some other stupid complaint. 2. No updates for more than two weeks!! OMG the world is ending. Pfft... Result: Obviously the forums are filled with noobs who don't appreciate updates and will most likely complain when one is finally released. A lot of the time the forums are also filled with good players wasting their time trying to explain that Jagex doesn't have to make updates every week. 3. A Progress Update Result: "OMG RS3 is coming!!!11one1!!eleven!!!111" Just a few observations. I assume the tip.it croud is smarter than the complainers and should agree with this more than someone on the rs forums.
  22. Ok guys, I just need to warn all you who are so exited about ocnstruction. I made a whole bunch of stews yesterday with 3 orange spice. As of the 27th it didn't do anything to construction. Please tell me if Jagex did something about this.
  23. If my magic was high enough I would've done that.
  24. The funny thing is he was using telegroup, but he'd run at least 10 steps away first lmao.
