  1. For all you not wanting to show just because TIF may lose: Fight for what you believe in, if it's not worth dieing for, why do you believe it? Go Tip.it! I wish I could be there :(
  2. nachalo Yes, Very good post Jard. I always believed that Rares were stupid for the overinflated prices they held. It's paper, Do all of this Jagex. konets
  3. I defiantly had more fun during the time there was no gravestones: This like this were FUN with ADRENALINE. Dag Kings were one of the great RISK vs REWARDS. Altho if you were with a team which knew what they were doing you would get all your stuff back if you died anyway. But still...The server did kill the whole team once by shutting down on us.
  4. I'd like to be the first to Welcome you to the Tip.it Forums. They are kinda more jerks than they used to be. But we're still better than the rest of Runescape. Arrogance is everywhere these days. Thanks for the info. :)
  5. Honestly, reading this topic I thought "This is what Tip.it has become?" Posted this and left.
  6. Congratz Laila!!!! Good to see you moving up!!! Gratz pryo. Goodluck!!!
  7. According to that graph, when I played RS2 was the sweet times of it, it looks like. Glad to see. Really heard that it is nothing like it used to be, also.
  8. So, I'm the only one that thinks "If you buy and item, keep it." Leesters taught me that back when I was jugling Barrows sets around for DK'ing or KQ'ing. Just save up, buy what you need, and KEEP IT.
  9. Haha, Read my text above the picture... I miss-read earlier in the post. That is the Dagannoth Kings Tunnels, not the chaos tunnels. Sorry for the confusion.
  10. Or am I thinking about a different place in RS?
  11. Cannon can be brought down into the Chaos Tunnels...if when you say Chaos Tunnels, you mean the lair going to the Dag Kings.
  12. +1 Here's a quote from the RSOF that sums up how I feel about this. "I think its sad that jagex gets one little bit of recognition for the first time in their lives and they go crazy by posting about it in their news forums and bragging to everyone that they got one little world record. Then they take advantage of it by telling people to buy more stuff from them because hey! after all they did win a world record so now it's totally legit to buy a bunch of jagex clothing.... World of Warcraft on the other hand got a cameo in a southpark episode that millions and millions of people saw and the WoW staff didn't bother to brag about that in one of their news posts.. Jagex is pathetic sometimes." A south park episode? Wow, I'm so impressed  . Learn the facts of why they even made the episode before bragging about it. They made that episode making fun of the "no-life" lifestyle that it takes to play WOW, or any RPG, including RuneScape. Which is the reason I don't, and won't play RPG's again. Although I did enjoy, and miss RuneScape alot.
  13. Congratz, the 1st is always the hardest!!! My first million? I don't remember. But I can tell you where I made lots of millions: Good old Dagannoth Kings
  14. My general thoughts so far on this poll are as follows: I love the enthusiasm from the majority of the people posting, but posts such as above are NOT the reason why we would do a monster hunting event. We would not be in it for profit, we are always just in it for the fun. We won't restrict anyone from coming to our events, unless of course it's a p2p event and you're f2p, then we can't do anything about that. Whereas drops are nice, yes, they are not the important part of any potential monster hunting event. The important aspect of the event is to, and has always been, to have fun. We don't mind if you complain, but i'm sure that the other team members and i would rather you didn't try to drag the event down with your complaints, rather you can pm any of us with suggestions how to make the event better after, or even during the event itself. TET stands for Tipit Events Team. We schedule weekly events at times friendly to almost everyone in the world. We also have a TETau branch, which does events geared towards a smaller audience and is more friendly time wise to the aussies. [/hide] I think you're missing the point too slightly. If you're looking for something "just for fun", most people would not see monster hunting that way. Personally, I find more fun when my trips are at the peak of efficiency, or when we found a new technique that proves ridiculously effective. Most of those that I know find it fun because of the potential riches. There are plenty of people who say they do it just for fun, but they don't. The simple test is, would they still do it if they got none of the drops? Most of them would say no. Honestly, you should reword the poll, make it a hypothetical question wondering if they'd still want to be present if there were NO drops. I doubt many people would prefer going monster hunting over the other fun events you have hosted in the past if you didn't factor drops. There are also problems that arise from going to these places with a whole group of newbs, AKA, people who are saying "Sounds great, I've never been there before, now's a good time to learn." There seem to be plenty of those. However, it is my experience that either new people will bring low amounts of stuff, thus not really helping at all, or bring plenty of expensive gear, die, and completely freak out. Both of these can get annoying. Regarding worlds, Bandos is about as crowded as it possibly could be, and probably your first choice for a GWD event. It would be near impossible for you to start on schedule without crashing a world, and I guarantee you at least one of the people present will request to crash a world just to save time. I have been on mass GWD events before, the last one having ~15 people at the start. However, every one of them was a competent, experienced monster hunter and contributed to the kills. I can't even imagine the room having two to three times that many, with over half being people there for the first time, or with sub par equipment and skills. I voted that I wouldn't attend because of this. I don't feel comfortable being there with that many people who seem to be there for no reason asides from a share of the money. I don't mind splitting them a share since at most bosses you'd go for, the splits are already quite small, but I don't like the fact that the event is basically "Hey if you can survive in the room with 3 items, come get some free money." That, and the actual entertainment of the event has been turned down for me just by bringing so many weaker or inexperienced players. Soma, weren't you one of the people that Leesters and Myself lead on a TET event about 2 years ago to the Dagannoth Kings? OT: The best, and most fun and effciant way would to have 2-3 good partners at the monsters that are being killed go down with about 5-10 people, if they have no idea what they are doing. This worked 2 years ago, why wouldn't it be able to now? The leaders just need to be patient, and willing to run out and take on all three kings if need be, simple statement, hard to do; or at least used to be ;) . Besides, who would give up getting a picture like this of their best friend?? EDIT: Yes, I just love finding excuses to post that picture, I miss that friend so bad. :(
  15. If you thought that Chinning for only 3 levels was slow....Goodluck ever getting 99. EDIT: Now I remember than they nerfed Chins. I remember getting 2-3 levels a DAY in the 93-97 area.
  16. Farming was one of my most favorite skills until I quit. It cut the cost of herblore almost in half.
  17. Goodluck getting Jagex to introduce ANOTHER boss into the game so soon. It took them 3 years to introduce the GWD after the Dag Kings, many of the high leveled monster hunters had been asking for a new monster only 6 months after the Dag Kings had been perfected. No new boss will be coming out for a while, count on it.
  18. I made a new account to go hangout with the OOC with...and HOLY CRAP!!! That thing is soooo boring and long. I quit halfway through it.
  19. Scott, remember what I told you that one day when I was about 500k exp away from 99 Magic? "I love the Magic Skill, I'm not doing this to get a 99, I'm doing this because this is the skill that I have always enjoyed." If someone loves the kill, the want to get highest in that skill fastest, like I did. I should have about 25-30M exp in that skill currently, but, ya know. :( People are just jackass teenagers because they are jealous.
  20. All of my Dagganoth Kings Setups: Veracs Prime/Supreme Hybrid: Alright, Nevermind about the rest, I can't find them, since I had to delete all of my RS pics from this HD. Sadly. EDIT: With this setup, three men could stay on World 2. 120+ Combat, granted.
  21. Sounds like you'll be set to have Dagannoths? Or at least that's what it would seem from everyone else getting stuck. Those 3 tasks were my favorite for slayer, btw.
  22. Once I found out how to use Sara Brews and Super Restores for my food at the Dagganoth Kings I found out that the cheapest way to cover expenses was to grow my own herbs, and buy the 2nds. Back when I played, I believe I would buy 3 dose Sara Brews for 3k each from Laikrob. I had roughly 5 Snapdragon seed collectors - who were slayers working for 85 slayer. And the 2nd for Super Restores doesn't take that much time to find on the forums, or now for you guys, the GE. What most people don't know is that if you are able to use Farming and Herblore in conjunction with one another, you will cut your costs almost in half, and gain experience at the same time. Granted, there would be the time when I was in a hurry and would buy some pots if I needed them, but normally after every DK trip I would do a herb run, thus gaining more herbs than I just used during the trip, and not to mention the nice shiny loot that was in my inventory. So yea, point of all that for all you skimmers is: Farming + Herblore = Great Money saver and EXP.
  23. Am I the only one that can see some bug being overlooked by Jagex, and the ability for someone to keep the item being a very easy issue to happen? Or maybe Jagex has fixed their ways. EDIT: I see Trixstar and I both are on the same page. Hah, Good Ol' Times man.
