  12. The LensFlare Tutorial [For the beginning artist] Every once in a while i feel like making a tutorial in photoshop cs, and here i am with a new tutorial. This tutorial is not about 'How to make a sig everyone likes', Im only showing some common basics. Like allways, you dont need Brushes, Downloads, etc. Requirements: Photoshop CS, 10 minutes of time Skill: Easy Extra info: For the new photoshop user. Step 1: Canvas Step 2: Paint Bucket Step 3: Smudge Step 4: Colors Step 5: SigSize Step 6: Cut n' Paste Step 7: Border Step 8: Dubble Border Step 9: Name It The End. Lets begin! [step 1: Canvas.] Click File -> New and make a canvas with the settings: Width: 300 [pixels] Heigth: 300 [pixels] Color Mode: RGB Color Background Contents: White. Press Ok [step 2: Paint Bucket.] Fill the canvas with a black color. then press Filter -> Render -> Lens Flare With the settings: Brightness: 130% Lenstype: 50-300mm Zoom. Press Ok [step 3: Smudge.] Grab the 'Smudge Tool', see picture below: Then drag with your cursor over the lensflare, like this: [i smudged it allready, you will start smudging with a plain round lensflare] And you will end up with something like this: [step 4: Colors.] Now we want color in the sig. Press Ctrl+ U, and the 'Hue and Saturation screen will appear. Now play a bit with the colors, and end up with a color you like. I chose for these settings: And press Ok if your done choosing a color. [step 5: SigSize.] Grab the Rectangular Marquee tool, and folow the steps 1 till 5 in the picture below: Then click on the lensflare in your canvas, and a selection will appear. place it where you want, I prefer the lensflare in the middle for a better result. [step 6: Cut n' Paste.] With the selection still selected, press Edit -> Copy. Then make a new canvas, by pressing File -> New-> Ok (the size you want is allready adjusted) And then Edit -> Paste. You can say youre done, and leave it like this. But for those who want to continue for a better result, continue this tutorial. [step 7: Border.] Press Ctrl+Alt+N, and press ok. now youve made a new layer, that we will use for the border. Select the new layer. Then select the Rectangular Marquee tool, Set the Style from ''Fixed Style'' to ''None'', right click on your sig. Then press ''Select All'', right click again and press ''Stroke''[1 px black]. Click on the canvas to unselect. Now we've got a border, for a dubble border continue to step 8. If this border is ok, continue to step 9. [step 8: Dubble Border.] Press 'Z' for the Zoom tool, and press on the sig to zoom in. Then Press the Rectangular Marquee tool (again) and place the '+' in the upper left corner, like this: Then drag your cursor all the way down to the right below corner, with the same placement as above. Then press right click -> Stroke [1 px black] -> Ok. Click on the sig to deselect, and we have a dubble border! \ [step 9: Name it.] Now put a name on it, I chose for the Visitor TT2 BRK font, with a 1 px black stroke (see: blending options) And ur done! Now you know a bit more about the common tools of photoshop, and how a normal starter signature looks. When you know all this, you can start working with renders, and your sigs will improve every time. My results: Thanks for using this tutorial, Send me a PM for questions. If you spotted a mistake, tell me and I adjust it. ~Woopidoo2, A.K.A Jelly.

  16. to bright, dont like it. but a great blending, overall a 7/10 mainly because of the blending.
  17. As some of you mightve seen, I used that render in a previous sig, with bad quality. I really wanted to use that render again, and this is the outcome. Rate away, tell me whats wrong.
