Thanks for all of your votes and comments. Since the majority voted yes, we are moving forward with the subforum. We can keep a referral sticky up in the gallery for this until the new location catches on. I think it will be easier to manage if you can simply create new threads every week instead of having one long thread that has to be split by a staff member. The responses to this survey indicate that Gallery regulars will make use of the subforum. Now that set up is in progress, I'm locking this thread. Thanks again everyone! - Ard

The Administration team is aware of circumstances where the combination of RL pictures along with some of the other information found on the forums has been used as stalking means. While the risk of such threats/stalking may seem rare and within each user's control based on the amount of information he or she chooses to post, it is simply a threat we are not in a position to risk for our user base by allowing personal photos to be posted publicly. I've noticed quite an influx in the number of contests posted in The Gallery and wanted to know if you all would be comfortable with a new subforum. If we have a contest subforum, the monthly/weekly contests could easily be posted as new threads on a regular basis with a single sticky listing the weekly themes and winners. Use Caution: Impersonators and Scam Trust Traders It's been brought to our attention that there have been a cases of Tip.Iter impersonation which have resulted in some of our users being scammed in game. If someone messages you claiming to be someone other than the player they are using, be very cautious when dealing with them as they are likely just scammers trying to gain your trust. Many cases end up in the person asking for a loan, then running away with their victim's items. If you choose to loan anything, do so with caution whether a player claims to be a Tip.Iter or not. Getting a stray 99 or two isn't on my "to do" list since I try to keep my skills tight. 99s will be in scope when my lowest skills are 79...at least until I change my strategy. I'm glad you like the most recent one. I'd not ever done an exclusive julian before so it was a good learning experience. I'm definitely still learning fractals. I've done most of them for themed contests which kinda calls for the expected, although I disagree with the idea that they are entirely unoriginal. Themed contests certainly are a good way to learn. - Ard
