  1. Note: This thread is updated regularly with most recent levels listed at the top of the log on this initial post as well as posted throughout the thread. *** Last Updated: 02/22 *** ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For anyone interested, "Ard Choille" (the wooded height or high wood) is the war cry of clan Gregor. The Gaelic pronunciation of Choille is khull-yuh. The best way to describe my playing style is to say that my skills are tight. I am neither a "skiller" nor a "combat-focused" player, I just like to keep my levels relatively balanced. Some quirky things about my leveling are that I keep Fletching & Firemaking even as well as Attack, Strength and Defense. My favorite non-combat skills are Thieving and Slayer. My favorite combat method is Range. I don't fight using Magic unless a quest calls for it, or I'm on the verge of a level and have nothing to enchant/alch. I'm not a pker or a staker. I prefer to generate my own raw materials using other skills but do buy pure essence and have recently begun to invest coin in yew logs, coal and of course planking. This thread includes posts with screenshots of my levels and achievements, as well as my updated goals since I began this thread on April 9th. My current goals will be updated on this post along with current statistics. A running list of my leveling and questing progress is also included below. Check out this post for more information on standard deviation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Current Overall Goal: 60 Summoning Current Stats: [*:31ty27hx]8.27 Standard Deviation [*:31ty27hx]77.67 Skill Average [*:31ty27hx]108/ Combat Level [*:31ty27hx]17.26 Levels per Combat Level [*:31ty27hx]254 Quest Points Stats at various landmarks: Have fun!
  2. Well, you were saying you don't want to hit 90 combat. You could always sneak in a slayer level coupled with one or two combat-contributer skill levels and still fall shy of 90. Of course, I'd go for the extra thief levels. :D
  3. I think it might be good if the "level" people saw in game was proportionate to total skill level instead of just the seven combat-related levels it is based on now. Maybe an average of all skill levels? Instead of having a secondary option...I think this would be a better method. ...just a thought
  4. How problematic would it be for such a feature to abort itself (perhaps for a period of time for the specific sender/recipient combo) when random mouse activity, or clicking the appropriate response button is detected. This way, it simply wouldn't work more than once in a given timeframe. Runesecape already detects mouse activity for the idle log. Why not detect it more specifically for this sort of thing? Just a thought...
  5. I tend to be kind of a raw-material purist and find that herblore is difficult to build unless I was to invest coin for the purchase of herbs and secondaries. I know players whose primary income has been from herblore, even after investing in the materials. As for farming, it has been a huge help for my herblore. I have not yet purchased any seeds, relying on slayer assignments to send me to monsters that drop good seeds. In short, investing coin in the seeds, herbs and seconds would easily build these skills much faster. Without coin investment they are rather slow-going.
  6. FYI... For anyone who wants to return their cat to the original color...feed it milk.
  7. ... with level and combat comp. Combat XP 1: 23,471,921 2: 9,814,897 3: 41.82% Combat Skill Levels 1: 1518 2: 524 3: 34.52% Combat Level 1: 1518 2: 94 3: 16.15 levels per combat
  8. I'm 36 and started playing RuneScape last April after getting bored with another RPG. Gaming is a good way for me to unwind from life. Oh yeah, and my best friend plays too. :D
  9. Here's another percentage for your list: 1: 23,471,921 2: 9,814,897 3: 41.82%
  10. It has only happened when I'm loading RS with a significant update. I crash at the loading page when the percentages are indicated. This has happened for both updates with 512 and 1024 RAM installed on a new system. It does not happen in other scenarios.
  11. I have played Runescape now for almost two months. Both of the major updates in this time period have caused my PC to crash. I get the "blue screen of death" with memory dump. :!: :!: :!: Does anyone know of settings/configuration I need to adjust to accommodate the memory swap used by RS with their updates? Any advice is welcome.
  12. OOF...Backbone report still shows outages in CA and NY this morning (ET). I managed to play last night for a bit, but am having same issues this morning. The site malfunction makes it difficult to report this bug too. Does anyone know the email address for reporting bugs? I'm new to the game so I don't have it.
  13. AAARRRGGHHH. Me too, me too. I can't load the page with IE or Foxfire. Anyone else here on comcast ISP?
