My construction is only level 70. To get to 70, I chopped oaks outside my house in Taverly, sent Demon Butler to the sawmill, built, then ran back outside to cut another load. Level 70 came quickly this way. Now that I have unlocked all the Hot-Air Balloon destinations, planking on my own is MUCH faster. You can chop oaks across the bridge from Castle Wars, balloon to the mill, ring back to Castle Wars, repeat. Now I'll just send Demon Butler to the bank to gather planks. I suspect that as my levels climb, I'll convince myself to invest more coin in making the levels come faster. I'm not entirely opposed to the idea, I just haven't needed to go that route for many skills yet. We all have different methods. One of the great things about RuneScape is that there is always another alternative. - Ard

No worries, you didn't offend me. I've always kept my skills balanced and for every RPG I've played. Once I did a bit of research, I found that it coincided with Guthix so I used that twist to add interest to my article. My gameplay certainly doesn't revolve around anything in particular other than enjoyment. Heck, the only Guthix items I have are the Guthix Symbol in my Chapel and the Book of Balance. Play as you may. - Ard

My focus was more to inform of skill strategy that isn't always talked about. It's great to know there are other players like me! You are correct, everyone should play they way they choose and have fun doing so. One thing to consider is that most players try to convince me to play their way and work towards becoming a pure or a non-combat skiller. Part of the point of my article is that it is ok for me to stay balanced, because I enjoy it. Thanks for posting! I'm not really a "skiller" though. I work the combats too. After all that woodcutting, fletching, firemaking and alching ... methinks I'll go take out my boredom on a slayer assignment.

Another three levels to 81 today... Unfortunately, standard deviation went up since these skills were above average. Standard Deviation: 5.68

I thought yesterday's episode was EXCELLENT! I love how they've tied so many of the characters together in such a wide variety of ways. If you haven't done so already, check out the online novels. They definitely add to the storyline. I can't wait for next-week's episode!
