Also Bumra-Stemra forces me to pay an additional fee/bonus on blank DVD's to compensate for illegal downloading. I buy the damn thing and now you charge me too, piss off! .

Then what is the whole concept of claiming ownership of things made out of atoms? If you make an exact duplicate of a famous painting but don't damage or destroy the original painting you are guilty of "stealing" the painting. Yes if you intend to sell it. Making a copy however isn't illegal.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
And to have a look from the other side: Piracy IS stealing because you are appropriating the creative effort of another without their permission. i'm puzzled but I download, there is no rationalization, i'm a thief and I can live with it.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
edit: come to think of it nevermind, feel free to pm me when you want to debate or discuss said topic. edit2: Stealing is the act of depriving someone of their property or money. The act of copying a pattern of 1's and 0's does not delete the original pattern stored on the composer's hard drive (in an example of pirating a song), so I don't see piracy as stealing. There may however still be an argument for why piracy is immoral, because you are potentially not allowing the composer to make a profit by selling a CD to you; but this is not the same as taking money out of his pocket because who's to say I would have bought the CD even if I hadn't pirated it? Since piracy is almost impossible to stop, though, artists and composers need to update their business models instead of advocating for harsher punishments for pirates. See Trent Reznor and others for examples of artists who have kept up with the times. The whole concept of claiming ownership of a pattern of 1's and 0's always seemed strange to me. If I write a computer program to spit out a brute force list of every possible pattern of 1's and 0's of a certain length, do I now owe royalties to every musical artist because the melodies they discovered appear in that list? And am I guilty of stealing if I build an exact duplicate of my neighbor's Ferrari but don't damage or destroy his car?- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
That doesn't make it go away though but fair point.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
I agreed with the rules before they made that change (or is their a rule that basically states I have nothing to say? if so I stand corrected then). The private property blows my argument out of the water more; I view Jagex as a goverment authority (which it isn't, it's a company) thus we as p(l)ayer-base should all have the right to decide as a whole to what we want to see, like any taxpayer. I guess I take this game a bit too real  edit: @ALG, and you think it's weird i'm complaining!? i'm not the one who's cheating/stealing.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
i'd rather have you point them out, I prefer to debate with reason and try to apply a scientific approach to every thought; feel free to correct me.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
@merciful, if I pay you to sleep in your guesthouse and you've always allowed me to play craps and two years later you decide you're against i'm going to complain. @Yoko, I respect private property rights. I hope you enjoyed your assumptions. I agree a lot with this article when it comes to owning land (division of rights): http://www.context.o...b/ic08/gilman1/ . I wish this was as cut and clear as you say it is but if you really want to debate that bad go make a thread in offtopic. I neither condone nor advocate gambling and just wish we, as paying customer, had a free choice (as in vote) if it should be disallowed or not. Yes, private property owners can do what they like. I disagree with it simply because they stated that they want to become in touch with their player-base. I r fail for disagreeing with opinionz!1!1- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
A guest doesn't have to pay.- Which god would you most like to kill?
I think you should technically put Saradomin under lawful neutral. Saying he is either lawful good or lawful evil on any day of the week is a hard call given his history. It also seems to me that Armadyl is more neutral good than really strict lawful good. While he seems to be a lawful god, reading some of his laws shows that he's not against a little chaos if necessary. Do not let thy vision be clouded by evil, Look up, for the truth cometh from the skies. This is the law of Armadyl. It is honourable to resist, And fight for what thou believe is just. This is the law of Armadyl. Peace shall bring thee wisdom; Wisdom shall bring thee peace. This is the law of Armadyl. Thou shalt avoid war; but, if thou must fight, Believe, and thou shalt strike true. This is the law of Armadyl. Thou shalt fly like the bird, Not like the rock. This is the law of Armadyl. To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl. But that's just my opinion. I don't think a particularly lawful god would give its followers such loose laws as to say, be good, but do what you think you must. Saradomin, Armadyl & Ikov (It's a conspiracy I tell you!) Pretty much agree completely with this post; such a condescending [wagon]. Wasn't of much help to Elidnis either. Amascut: I LOVE CATS :@- What makes your character unique?

Enjoy your black & white box and never forget: be obedient to every authority.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
There are only non-riskers in PvP left. They completely ruined the wilderness; please don't suggest things you barely know anything of. Boxing is slow since the introduction of abilities and ability staking is ridiculous. Lying to myself? About what? I'm completely aware of my actions and acknowledge the fact that I may lose or win. I'm guessing that your emotional snare is probably coming from the train of thought to "help" me but how does belittling me help with this fallacy? Where's your reasoning? Try again. Don't forget my opinion stems from freedom of choice. Not from moral choice.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
How so? I liked the gameplay and I pay as much (if not more) as you do, i'm sorry that the crowd can't handle their losses (I know I lost more then I gained) but that doesn't have to ruin the fun for the rest who likes to wager. It's a matter of freedom of choice (player).- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
There are plenty, recently Jagex even implented the Coin of Balance; just asking for it... Gambling not true to the historic/medieval setting scape is in? Come again? http://en.wikipedia....ki/Hazard_(game) Wiki is wrong though, it predates the English to the Crusading armies copying it from the Islamic countries.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance

You are debating my opinion? Congratulations. Ofcourse you are not bored.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
Is that directed to me? If so, have fun being banned for false reporting.- 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
just posted in recent updates: The fix is currently making its way down the inter-tubes to the servers and will be live in a few minutes. I hot-fixed the issue with seeing other players inventories in Demonheim last night so you can't currently look in other players inventories. With the next game update (don't know when that will be exactly) this will be changed so you can once again look in other players inventories, but you will not be able to see any coloured flowers they have in there. @mod rathe oh well the implented coin of balance, back to IRC/private channels. It's boring in the kindergarden.- Tip.It Times - 17th March 2013
Yes, gambling must come to a controlled enviroment, nothing new in this article. Already posted this months ago. Still interesting (other then the slight bias against). Not that it matters much in the end, Jagex is dumb; flowers gone? Oh lets implent a coin that does exactly the same at it's core... Private channels are already up, it's like they have no hindsight at all but then again they do cater it to a rather young crowd. - 18-March-2013: Dealing with games of chance
