Yea i agree i couldnt really fix the textures without it looking awful but it is in deep shadow, and the water i think is really ewww im not too good with it but i couldnt fix the north side where it the water is blurry. Post work correction would have helped but theres rules! :D Also with the water to land i culdnt edit the terrain (against the rules) and it could actually be realistic except for the north side as if it was a new river formed that hasnt yet eroded the sides of river. Just got out forgot what they are called when in the mountains (not banks, oh well).

yeah gotta love the rays! hehe it will make just about any pic 10x better its just getting the settings right. but since we could correct images in photoshop i couldnt fix the north side of the water that looks really awquard and terragen couldnt get it right! Grrrr...... Well anyway i have that image in wallapaper size if anyone wants its (1280x960)

a 3d program - takes some time to learn Bryce - Cheapest harder to make stuff like that tho 3ds max - 3d Studio Max - expensive maya 6.0 unlimited - expensive those are just some of the programs. Also be careful of buying especially on ebay. I bought from a seller selling 3ds max 7 upgrade or whatever, turns out i got a letter from ebay saying not to go through with transaction WAY TOO LATE and it turns out when i get it, its an illegal copy. Well now i can't contact the guy and get my money back, and i'm just mad that i paid money for an illegal copy, something you just have to go to kazaa and do (which don't really do it though im all out against software and music piracy). And so now i lost my money and yeah so just be careful from who you buy from.....thats a lesson i learned the hard way! looks a lot like a screen shot though. You could even do a pixel art one in mspaint but you need extroidnary talent!

There will be a list of entries and artists names, and a poll in the topic. Please vote in the poll and any crituqe you have post it (NO SPAM). At the end of the week the polls will close and according to the rules the new winner will supply the terrain and rules for the next speed render contest. *Note to Nad', we should create a new thread each week for voting and entries. Just copy and paste the rules and enumerate thread titles in numerical order (Speed Render 1, Speed Render 2, etc) This will eliminate confusion and, less pages and that way we wont have to scroll through looking for the entries or posts in a large thread. The danny phantom was drawn using Flash MX with no refrences, but in butch hartmans style (i've drawn many types of these with pen and pencil, first time digiital though) glow added in photoshop, yet its still unfinished, i suck with facial expressions!

i vote for myself....hehe. You should amend(add to) the first post after every weekend including all the entries and to either post votes or pm them. Then when the next contest starts delete it and start again

thanks....now when does the voting begin? and Nuzza I don't think you changed the water level. Because your scene is close to where mines at i think..... If you didn't the default level is something around the likes of -200m Also i think you should work on the atmosphere some, and your surface maps. I actually kinda like venomai's landscape!

im not sure in graphics gale or psp but I do KNOW that you have to save it as a gif or png. You can also use gif works for transparencies

No offense but that does not deserve a rating. 98% of that is not even your work. You just cropped a horibble pic and put plain text beside it. I dont want to hear the but i dont have photoshop excuse. Look at terley, Godslayer, The_jeppoz, princessa. They might not have it either(or at least dont use it :D) but they pretty much use MSPAINT for their sigs. if you want a number rating 1/10 Also please don't post images that you didn't spend more than 10 minutes of time or 2 cents of your effort.

Yea it florida as little categor 1 (85 mph)/tropical storm. Its about to hit new orleans which is already saturated as a category 5! 180mph winds, 210mph gusts! Its then heading to where i live. It will only be about a category 2 or 1. But my state as already been hit hard. In 2000 where i live was wiped out by floyd (NC) We got hit by dennis TWICE then a week later came floyd (category 4-5) Flooded countless cities. The way my house and neighboorhood is sloped my house didnt get flooded but a few houses down the street did. And it tarboro it flooded up to the roof

I could really care less about leaving it on, my dad owns tons of companies and has the cash to easily pay the bills ( and phostoshop, flash, etc, and no i'm not spoiled i still only get suff like that for my b-day or if i make staright a's) ...but yeah i usually turn it off anyway as my computer chassis has a window with neon and cathode lights and when i go to sleep i like it pitch black so yeah thats the only reason i turn mine off.

Nice although it looks odd wiht the head cropped off i really think you should have his head. It looks like you were too lazy to make one or coulnd't get a good looking head and face. number rating 8.5/10 light source is also not consistent considering it came from front left, the shadow from the microwave would be on the other side. There should also pe another light source from outside(sun) which would make the fence cast shadows and possibly the door frame depending on where the light is placed.

no reason for a 7th grader to be doing that much homewroking im in 10th grade (i have chemistry, biolofy, calculus, etc) i spend about 2 hours normally on homework. In 7th grade is was like 15-45 minutes. We just had stuff like read, math (fractions, order of operations, and pythagorean therom (we also had to prove the theorem before using it)). Since your finnish i don't know but still 7th grade it shouldnt really be different though the part i could make out in your post though sounded like really simple work (writing sentences, changing them, write a story) although i didn't understand the beginning really. I believe that shouldve taken 30 minutes-hour

sorry ryan but thats wrong. If you paid attention in geometry class you would know (not trying to be a know-it-all). Anything in photoshop is really not a vector. From Geometry you learn that a vector is just a line that is calculated mathematicly (0,0),(5,3). the vector is (5,3) which means up 5 over 3 (remember rise/over run, its sorta like slope) so it would be a line between points (0,0) and (3,5) [(x,y)]. I'm not sure if vector programs calculate the same way but its the same concept you have the two enpoints and the line between them is calculated and drawn. So when you zoom in, the lines are redrawn(but bigger). Thats why they never lose quality. For curves there is 3 points. The two enpoints and the extreme which is the point that extends out the most. So the program draws an arch between the 3 points. Some vector programs are flash, and abobe illustrator. There is no technical way to have actualy vector art on the web yet as it is all rasterized when saved as a jpg, png, gif or whatever. but yeah thats what a vector is. Now for the rating good first try i actually like it however perspective seems slightly off on the turntable. Good job though, A++. If you want a number rating 9/10!

same here it's been a year since i quit posting way back when azzvy, demoris, and dementedhero, jlr were still here. All these new people i dont know like godslayer, jd7272(bleh! :)), Terley, Princessa. Yea i was known for the landscapes however i dont really mess with them anymore and have greatly improved my photoshop skills, probably why no one guessed my work. o well later!
