You cant do it, Im level 126 with 99 range and mage and its dificult for me because I have no dfs or mage arena cape (both useful in raising magic defence) I have killed 180 Armadyl bosses and so far not had a good drop I estimate I have used about 400 prayer pots. ZAmmy you might struggle with too, they removed the safe spot that kept you away from two of his generals.

since when was smithing a steel plate faster xp than smithing an addy one lol. Made me chuckle... Everyone superheats addy so its takes similar amount of time for far more xp.

I might get slated for this but it is my honest opinion... Fletching cape with low wc and cooking cape with low fishing are both less respectable than no cape in my opinion. Basically if I look at someone stats and they have 99 fletch and 50 wc I think "well they have nerfed their stats" it appears a) as pure desperation for a cape b)to be pointless getting fletch to 99 if you bought it. The point of getting 99 to me is to earn a bit from it. If you bought it you earnt a very small percentage of what someone who wc'ed it got. The same is not true however for smithing for instance. 99 smith with 88 mining for instance I would not think of in the same way because a 99 smither can smith more items than an 85 smither. A 99 fletcher cannot fletch any better items than an 85 fletcher, therefore why get 99 if this costs you significant time and you make no benifit from it? These are the only two capes that I would actually look at the wearer as nobier than someone without a cape, and only in the given instance that they bought the skill. How can I respect 99 cook if it was bought, the xp rate per day in cooking is huge if you buy a million raw sharks. Any other cape congrats it really is an achievement to get 99. Especially RC, herblore (whether bought or not) and mining. If you have one of those capes it is an uber achievement.

The issue is not so much that I wasnt credited its that the bestiary entries are so wildly innaccurate at the moment. I checked them about 10 days after the release and there was a link "submit additional information here. Well I had already given most of the information needed, but resubmitted it anyway. I then check the bestiary at the time that I post this and I see the beastiary has been updates and is quite frankly innaccurate. Having given the information twice I see no reason for it. THats why I posted this, I thought maybe it would draw attention to the issue...

No one likes to waste their time do they? Well in the case if trying to help tip-it discover what drops from godwars bosses I certainly did waste my time. Specifically I listed drops from General Kilyana and also Kree. I was quite thorough as I have killed both of these bosses around 400 times and kept a log of the drops. If you look on the beastiary I am not credited on either and both are missing many many drops. Who hasn't had a Rune Kite or rune skirt from Kilyana? Yet it lists only addy plate as a drop, and it says herb seed (2), it only drops rannar seeds. THe list goes on and on, I dont understand why these are so innaccurate considering that you have been provided the information. Come on Tip-it why ask for the information if you arent going to use it or credit me for it?

I got a sara hilt on the second day of GWD and sold it promptly for 30m (ZYBEX had it listed at 16-20m so I thought this was a good deal. Now I think people are realising how hard they are to get and the prices are going up. I have seen less people there too now the novelty has worn off. At the beginning I was selling my drops instantly because I thought the price would dip. The swords have dropped massively but the hilts have risen drastically. Is this because people want to have multiple hilts per sword or are the numbers being dropped messed up? I wish I hadnt had that hilt on my 11th drop...it led me to believe it would be easily replacable...Anyone hazard a guess at the drop rates?

At the start of May I had 2m in cash, I managed to turn that into a phat (without merchanting anything except drops or staking) I managed to get all my stats above 80 I got range, wc and fletch capes. Also I saw a little bit of Australia with a girl who turned out to be mental.

I have a lvl 3 account which is a pure merchant, his name is FTSE100 which I think is appropriate for a pure merchanting account, I think thats a rare case where the numbers are actually there for a reason. (for those of u not familiar with finance the ftse100 is the Top performing 100 shares on the London market.

You havent really saved anytime by dropping ores. It takes time to drop them one by one, I find its a similar speed to bank them using cw ring and tele back to aurdougne. Yes you use up some runes this way but the banked ores pay for these plus you get to steal a gem from the gems stall and get a little mage/thieft xp as well as mining xp. Addy at the desert camp did you say? I used to do that but its quite a long walk, hobgoblin mine FTW, its perfectly safe on free worlds and has more addy. There are 6 addy ores and 6 mithril ores in the desert mine BTW (dont know what that last guy is thinking of, maybe he thinking of al karrid)

from my information the boots were 1 drop in 50 for the first few hours and then changed to one in 500, I heard through the grapevine that they would set this rate to 1 in 100 one the initial horde of people dies off. I personally think that if the godsword is as good as they say it is the pirce will go up when people realise how hard it is to get one. I am hoping that this lowers the price of phats in about a week or two's time where people are selling rares to obtain a sword.

Drops from the sara boss with the funny name include : Rune skirt, Rune kite shield, addy plate, gp (17.884), 37 rune darts I dont know if the drops vary between the henchman but from these I have had :gp, 5 noted snape grass, laws, 97 steel arrows

I was using this technique when they first introduced dark beasts and it was good. After this guide coming out it is now not so good. Because there is only one rock there is there are more than three people doing it at any one time it becomes very slow indeed. THe only reason it was quick was because no one knew about it. Now its dead.

I went to kalphite queen with 3 other people two of which were my lvl (110 at the time) they were equipped with veracs and I wasn't. I got the drop 2 out of 3 times. This is probably because if you team the queen when she takes off you can get out of her range and still attack her with crystal bow, potted my range into the 90's I was attacking her constantly whereas the people in veracs had to eat and stuff. i therefore think that veracs is completely needless.

I think they should have a noticeboard in the bank, u use a piece of papyrus with the item you want to sell and type in price u want to sell it for. You then use papyrus with the noticeboard, other players can take this to the counter and buy it direct from your bank.

I am also trying for fire cape...its one nil jad at he moment and my bow was down to 2 by the time I reached him. When I went to charge it I clicked shield by mistake, so been at castlewars trying to run it out all week. Doh!

Recently I seem to get the phenomenon of the screen going white on a quite regular basis. Even though the screen is white I can hear the game is still in operation and by carefully guessing where the buttons are I actually managed to text a friend a message before running to a safespot and logging out. Sometimes if I minimise the screen and then open it again the picture comes back however sometimes it does not, and is clearly dangerous especially in situations where I am praying in order to survive. Does anyone know what causes this? Could it be something to do with the new game engine or perhaps my setup... The thing is I am worried to do anything like barrows for fear of it occurring and me losing my stuff. If this has happened to you feel free to tell us about it.

Hey I am having a real problem with recipe for disaster. My log reads something like, I have spoken to the gypsy who told me I need to make a special stew (with a line through it) I must speak to dave outside the time bubble he lives with his mum in edgville. So I go to edgeville and talk to his mum I say I am one of his evil friends and she sends me down to the basement. When I get there I talk to Dave but when I ask him what he ate and he asks why I want to know my character says 'oh nevermind' halfway through the explaination. I have done the quests required and am carrying a kitten and some stews. Its really driving me nuts....does anyone know what the problem could be?

I would ask them how much time they have spent merchanting in the game? Following on from that I would ask if their preference has been towards gaining their resources themselves or paying others to do it for them. For instance ranging dragons levels prayer, crafting, ranging and earns you money at the same time so surely it is more effecient if you obtain things yourself if you are aiming to level many skills at once. Also perhaps it is easy to waste alot of time standing in banks so what materials would he suggest should be bought and what should be gotten oneself.

I am 27 and work a night job when I am off I am still awake at night and what better to do than make a lvl or 2. I have a highly social job which I find very enjoyable and when I get home I don't always feel like talking because I've done a whole lot of that during the day. I have travelled the world and I drive a sports cars, when I get told 'get a life' coz I over level 100 I smile to myself because I am happy and the person who is talking to me is most likely of half my intellegence. On occasion I have asked this person what their favourite TV shows are, when they real off a list I inform them that I don't own a TV and dont watch one. Every hour they spend watching TV I play runescape and every hour they play runescape I have spent 5 hours drinking beers or playing poker with people. If its an American ask them if they have ever left their countries borders, you would be surprised how few have. Life is what you make it...its not for anyone else to decide for me what mine should be.

I have 86 thiefing and that was mainly from stealing chaos from palidins when I was going nuts as an ancient in castle wars. The guides say this is 180k an hour at a high level, personally I havent tested this but I tend to get about 250 chaos and about 10k off one bag of lobsters which I guess takes me about 20-30 minutes. I would never craft chaos because if I use abyss I craft death or laws and usually runecraft nats on brimhaven (because I find I can craft 1000 an hour here risk free from pkers) I steal from the farmer as well, I use cooked sweetcorn here as its cheap food and sustained by the seeds I get. From memory I would say off 18 pieces of sweetcorn I get 3 or 4 decent herb seeds which I class as rannar, kwaarm, snapdragon, cadentyme and lantadyme with 7 or 8 limpwurt, 15-18 sweetcorn seeds 1-2 watermelon and 2-3 strawberry. I also save the specials and whiteberry seeds. It is a pain dropping all the low level seeds but someone always picks them up and is glad of them. Since my farming is improving (66 at present) I find I am here a great deal of time trying to get seeds but I can see no alternative since the price of decent seeds seems to exessive to warrant buying. Therefore in my assessment this makes thieving a worthwhile and useful skill to me but I see no advantage having 99 rather than 82. Once you can open that door in yannille dungeon I would stop training theif levels and just use it when u need it.

Yeah we've all done that...but would have been more amusing if ur run power ran out just outside ur own walls and noone offered to run the flag for u so you are approximately 2 seconds from scoring when the game ends. Which incidently is something which has happened to us all.

As if that would work...the owners of phats are not the ones who want the price to drop its the people who dont own them who want that. Therefore none will declare what they have. What would be better is if Jaegex could organise an audit, surely its posible to do an update where the first time u open ur bank it send the details of exactly what u have to a database. We would then know at the end of the month the number of active accounts and the total of each of the objects they have. Probably easier said than done.

when in the fishing guild we started playing a game...fill in the blank... "You know when you are playing too much runescape when....you are frightened to put things down in case they dissapear." There were other ones which were better perhaps someone has some suggestions.

There are plenty of beggers and cretins on RS but one thing that has always stuck with me is that when I was a poor noob and couldn't afford mith someone gave me a mith platebody. Now whenever I smith up a large batch of mith or addy I find a noob who is down on his luck and gift a set to him. This has one of two effects, I either have add them to my ignore list because they keep begging for more or you discover that some people believe in the addage "I you scratch my back I'll scratch yours" in which case they sometimes offer to help collect ingredients etc etc. If anyone ever asks me for anything they are unlikely to get it..begging should not be tolerated but when you reach a decent lvl then sometimes something that means nothing to you like a tally or something can make a world of difference to someone else.
