Mod Stu says the repeatable boss will be changing from a 7 day after completion reset to an actual weekly reset on the same day as penguins.

If they do this then all mellee weapons should degrade and need to use bars for repair

It will be a delay, but if they don't keep up then they will lose it for however many weeks they don't keep up with it. If someone just doesn't try and falls 10 weeks behind, they'll still have to deal with 10 weeks without trim, its not like they'll keep it forever or anything. This just makes it a bit more fair. I do understand where you're coming from, we won't really know who is working on it for those 32 weeks, but it'll be very apparent when it does kick in.

The only issue with that is if something comes up and you miss a week. With the 32 week grace period, you miss a week and you lose trim for a week so it seems fair. With the weekly update if you miss a week early then it could be several months.

I'm really looking forward to working on shattered hearts 2.0, looks interesting and its nice that they gave us that 32 week grace period.

I don't know where else to put this but off-hand rubber chicken. Gotta kill chickens in lumby farm until 1 respawns by dropping from the sky and saying "I have returned", then you kill it and it drops an off-hand rubber chicken. Can't be stored with Diango or in house.

So they're putting in constant work trying to improve the combat system and thats bad, but then you yell that they're not putting any actual work in. The issue seems to be that they're not putting the resources exactly where you want them to go.

But the advantage that bosses have over players is not supposed to be their armour ratings and def. They tend to have a lot more lifepoints and some have devastating specials that players can't match.

It seems like for main gwd bosses they're just trying to make it so that soul split is not as useable. If anything thats a dent against high level players and probably won't have an effect on mid-levels.

Trim was specifically added in as a semi-unreasonable goal. Its not for everyone to complete. Its only for those who have hit that cliff of all 99's, 120 dunge, all tasks, all music, all quests etc and still want something to do. Its meant to be time consuming. I haven't really met many people that cite champ scrolls as the reason they won't trim, it always seems to be the ridiculous castle wars requirement they mention. With Master Capes now, I don't really think that comp trim is something that many will be going for.

Hobgoblins and Jogres were my worst ones. no idea how many I killed because I never kept track, but those were the two that I would repeatedly spend a couple days there then give up and come back later. Imps might also have been high because there was a long time that I'd kill any imp I saw, but eventually just spent a week by ardy monastery till I got the scroll. While I can understand the frustration, I still think that the game should have some rare and untradeable prestige drops, and champ scrolls fills that role well. Castle Wars I think is a lot worse a requirement than any of the champ scrolls. It takes longer than any of them does, and if your luck is terrible and you don't win a game then then its theoretically endless. It also encourages people to afk and not really play the game.

The trimmed comp cape is a prestige achievement though that they deliberately added a bunch of crazy stuff to. Its similar to the phoenix eggling in that it doesn't really do anything just looks cool.

The whole point of trimmed comp is that it is optional. The trim on the cape is cool but its not exp or stats or anything.

They released EOC too early, everyone pretty much realizes this. The worst they could do would be to leave it as it is just because they messed up. I'd rather some instability while they work on it than to leave it as it was.

I think something like champ scrolls or phoenix eggling are fine with RNG. However, with items like skilling outfits, they either should have something like hybrid armour or be much less rare. Prestige items or useless stuff I'm fine with them being extremely rare. Useful exp bonus items shouldn't, especially items like skilling outfits where if they're too rare then by the time you get them you don't really need them.

It seems like the major part of the update is the rewards and some tweaks that are needed. They seem very clear that the only reason for the graphical tweaking is that someone already did it before.

ROTS isn't hard to survive, you just gotta wait in the tunnel outside...its the people inside that may have the issue surviving. Vorago wasn't too bad for me, but I did it with a group from HLF when it first came out with like 13 or so people so idk how hard it would be for someone to survive in smaller groups.

Perhaps specific pvp only armour might help as well. Stuff able to be smithed froma few rune bars but would count as tier 80 or 90 for pk'ing in the wilderness purposes...and scale that down as needed for the other bar types?

Considering he's an Iowerth, he might be generally in favour of it if ya kill the other families.

How so would it be weak? Ever done tasks at Abyssal demons? They drop them soo much! yeah, but that Doesnt merit calling it an upgrade when its mostly just one task. Im hoping that it might work on helping elsewhere. My guess, dragonstones and possibly opal, jade and topaz. Would be cool if also spirit gems.
