  1. I used range but I noticed a lot of enemies seemed to be magic weakness.
  2. He's been talking about writing a book before. He might be leaving to work on that. He mentioned not wanting to quit in the middle of a project, so the best time to leave was when this and his post quest dwarf stuff were released.
  3. Not the most surprising quest end. Still thought it did a good job of ending the series.
  4. They've been mentioning for a long time that the Elf City would be released in 2 blocks with a quest coming before them.
  5. http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?15,16,603,65445103 Mod Porky, Jagex's Game Analyst, releases this type of stuff.
  6. Good to see that you still have your usual sunny disposition =) Really looking forward to Elf Finale quest. Quest to me is more important than the city.
  7. Thank you =) was considering asking but the risk of an affirmative answer was too scary
  8. =( I might actually have to learn to rots
  9. Looks like a good month. Except clan stuff its all stuff that I've been happily anticipating.
  10. I almost feel like Jagex has focused too much on bosses to the point where there's no real point to skilling at all. Used to be, skillers could put in some hours of work and get the best gear. It would take a bit but it wasn't as ridiculous as it currently is. One of the main issues I think is that gear doesn't really require skilling resources anymore. Before pvp really died, the most common gear tended to be rune which was fine for most situations, barrows was better but still not outrageous in price with a full set taking maybe a week or 2 of skilling. That started changing it seemed with gwd, where the hilts were really expensive, they could take quite a while to earn from skilling and they didn't really require any skilling resources to create. I think Jagex needs to bring it back around and either require ores/logs/etc for repair costs or something just to give skilling a use outside of exp gain. Perhaps release some skilling materials that need to be used in conjunction with boss drops but make those resources take a while to gain with low exp rates. I feel like while bossing does deserve a higher gain per hour, it shouldn't be as huge a disparity as it is now and Jagex needs to make skilling useful again.
  11. Have you read their system requirements? I was able to play at ~18 fps about 1.5 years ago. Unless they're going to update those requirements, this computer is still supposed to work, which would mean Jagex is making RuneScape's applet more bloated. Especially since I've got an AMD/ATI Radeon HD 4650 in an AGP slot in this ancient system. Yeah, really, that much GPU, and I'm still fully able to use it somehow. :o ~D. V. "Maybe it helps that I've got 2 GB of RAM, too?" Devnull It's not bloat. It's added features. That's the natural progression of software. Your card is a piece of garbage that isn't even worth the pcb it's printed on. Maybe you should just fork over hundred dollars for a half-decent gpu rather than being some Luddite that demands that everyone else's gaming experience is as shitty as his. It depends on whether your other components are equally garbage, but even a gt640 can run RS at 50 fps max settings. And that card is also considered garbage. I utilize 20% gpu and cpu on max settings and I'm looking forward to features to use the idling 80% for. Please don't hold us back. Its cool I guess, but if you have such a great computer you could already watch or stream twitch without this feature. There really wasn't any need for it. Jagex is basically sacrificing those on the lower end (whether its only a few people or a bunch I don't know) in exchange for advertising. Whether you feel low end computers are holding the game back or not is up to you, but one of the main draws of runescape has always been that even low end computers can run it.
  12. I knew skillcapes looked bad and outdated, but still quite surprised that the poll is at 83% in favour of changing them after over 30k votes. Never thought you could get such a high percentage of players to agree on anything.
  13. Neither of which really require skilling materials. The materials you get from skilling should be made valueable not just the levels themselves.
  14. What's stupid about Dragon Hatchet/Pickaxe again? PvM method to obtain a non-PvM required item. Thats like pickpocketing would grant drygores. The skills should be intertwined. PvM providing everything for pvm gear is an issue I think they should work on. Smithing/Crafting was supposed to provide the supplies for combat originally. Bossing should just supply a piece of armour/weapons that needs to be combined with other supplies from skilling to make the gear. Like how you had to have high smithing, or pay an NPC, to combine the metal shards and make the dragon platebody? IIRC there's a smithing requirement on combining the Godsword pieces as well, but I could be wrong on that. I thought that was a really cool idea which didn't see enough use because the dragon platebody kinda sucked. More like actually requiring skilling materials. So boss dropped pieces plus a bunch of gems/bars/logs/runes/hides/whatever. Right now the skilling materials aren't very useful for actually making anything and are mostly just exp gain items.

  16. Jujus will also require the hunter and farm levels to use them https://twitter.com/JagexOsborne/status/478540349304877057
  17. The people who voted for legacy != 100% of the people who quit because of EoC. If the poll was for completely replacing EoC with Legacy mode, the results would have been much more different, mind you. Completely agree. Voted for legacy because I didn't see the harm in it and many people would enjoy having it. I however like EOC and have no intention of really using legacy. Saying 80% voted for it is not the same as 80% wanted to use it and definitely isn't the same as 80% think EOC ruined the game.
  18. Ok cool, kept an open space for mine cause I didn't want to risk it. Is it only seeds that do or motherlodes as well?
  19. Also, either keep an open inventory space or bring a motherlode shard with you since they stack. Every 24 hours of skilling/combat with amulet equipped you get an elder seed, so keep an extra slot open around then.
  20. Not sure if making a joke or not, Meredith. If so then disregard. Much of the world refers to the sport as football and not soccer.
  21. I thought the point was we'd get the motherlode shards and then trade them to someone for the item and not just directly get the item.
  22. Not fond of champ scrolls being there, just seems a bit unbalanced because everything else saves you a little time here or there. A couple chompy kills, a rock, a cw ticket, etc. Champ scrolls could save you a lot more time. If anything the champ scrolls should be the rarest thing there if they want to keep them.
  23. When such a large portion of the game is dictated by RNG, it would be ridiculous to leave out a req merely because it has a major luck component. Especially when you can keep trying repeatedly. The issue with the phoenix is not the luck component, it is the time restriction where you can only try once per day combined with the RNG. Phoenix is not discounted from comp or trim solely because it is a luck item.
  24. Idk how many trimmers we have here, but ana has confirmed all 5 kal'gerion titles will be required for trim within a few weeks http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=bJt2q0stqe0/sl=0/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?15,16,887,65380400,goto,8#79
