  1. Well, several of the people on the new community team are currently Devs, like Mod Maz. A community person is probably also a lot cheaper, with many seemingly being relatively young fans that will jump at the chance to be a J Mod (Lee,Infinity,Balance, etc) plus a few like Kalaya that were just transferred over from customer support. So at best they might get 1 or 2 new devs in exchange for losing a bunch of community J mods. I think another issue is that Elf City probably took a lot more time from their graphics team than inventor would have. Which probably drained some quest resurces. You can see from Mod Michelle's twitter that they have a few devs in the Community Team now. Although since Raven is also working on Elder God Quest I assume the Devs are shared and probably just work on a few small community themed updates. https://twitter.com/JagexMichelle
  2. In the RuneFest streams they mentioned this year, and I know Deg and Raven are actually developing it atm (well, Raven has this week off, but they are developing it now.) Can't guarantee it will be this year, delays suck but they happen. However it is planned for this year. Sucks that Rite of Passage hasn't been made yet. It, like many updates, got screwed over when they decided on PttP polls. But I'm hoping with that now in place, and RuneFest seeming a lot more realistic, instead of saying everything under the sun they'd love to do, that less updates get canned or sidelined.
  3. The quests were pretty lacklustre, I'd say. FOTG and OOAK were awesome, but that's only two quests and they were early in the year. Since then there's been literally no follow up of any kind. We are only getting Zamorakian Heist (a follow-up to WE1!) in a few months from now. Their rate of quests and following up has gone majorly down, and it's somewhat disappointing. I mean Zaros has returned since March, and it's almost the end of the year, and there's been no follow-up of any sort? Lame. No Elder God Quest (which won the PTTP poll) either. Elder God quest is in dev though. As long as Raven can keep Deg in line it should be good.
  4. Honestly, we never really knew what Nomad was. There's no real lore in game to tell it, and the only confirmation that Lucien was his former Master was one dev response in a Q&A. So it could easily fit fine. I think the quest could be more than fanservice. They already know several characters that they're putting in the quest regardless. There are a bunch of Zamorakians that could fit fine no matter which is picked so why not leave that up to players.
  5. I thought they were only planning to increase it on slayer task
  6. They seem to be trying to do both. This regular Halloween grindy event, and an actual spooky themed quest that will remain after.
  7. They sound temporary though and would still take up an inventory space, so probably not too op.
  8. can they not But pets...I want more pets!
  9. Maybe they already have a specific demon in mind for the quest?
  10. Yea, which considering the powers shown in Nadir, as well as her extreme loyalty to Zamorak seems to make sense.
  11. The Guildmaster said 30 years ago Crandor was thriving so seems more recent "Thirty years ago, Crandor was a thriving community with a great tradition of mages and adventurers. Many Crandorians even earned the right to be part of the Champions' Guild! One of their adventurers went too far, however. He descended into the volcano in the centre of Crandor and woke the dragon Elvarg. He must have fought valiantly against the dragon because they say that, to this day, she has a scar down her side, but the dragon still won the fight. She emerged and laid waste to the whole of Crandor with her fire breath! Some refugees managed to escape in fishing boats. They landed on the coast, north of Rimmington, and set up camp but the dragon followed them and burned the camp to the ground. Out of all the people of Crandor there were only three survivors: a trio of wizards who used magic to escape. Their names were Thalzar, Lozar and Melzar." http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Crandor
  12. Asked about Moia Mod Ollie responded: I won't be polling her, she pretty much a dead cert. https://twitter.com/JagexOllie/status/522711315580989440
  13. How are those any worse then champion scrolls? Zaryte bow from nihil is literally 1 in a million, which is quite a large difference from champ scrolls 1 in a couple thousand. 3rd age is also quite a bit rarer. Champ scrolls take a maximum of a week or a few weeks to grind out, the other two are rare enough so that even hunting them, many will never see them.
  14. They're probably going to be using a lot of already done graphics. Considering they're re-using a city, as well as several characters already in game.
  15. Depends how you define "working on". Brainstorming ideas and coming up with a theme is part of working on it.
  16. http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=m*VMftXEZOg/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?341,342,193,65498141,6,333504431 Mod Stu wants to know which characters people want to see back for the 200th quest. He's asking everyone to limit it to 3 characters, whichever 3 you want back the most.
  17. Couldn't hurt, Steph, although I find the discussions on why someone prefers an option more interesting than the straight numbers usually.
  18. Yea, always a bit afraid of that 1 death thing I suppose. Although the Dark Lord wasn't too bad, managed to get it done on my noob with a crystal bow and royal dragonhide. Depends how they want to do it I suppose.
  19. Thieving might also be good to train. Its pretty quick to 99 and elf city provides a lot of pure coins for stuff like construction, not to mention an easy source of seeds, super compost, sharks for food, etc. A lot of the stuff you thieve from elves seems useful for an ironman account.
  20. I don't really see neutral titles as a major problem. Probably better to add them for those that would prefer them. But yea, the trolls get annoying. Could have prevented this like some mentioned with DIY, or the title could have just been Iron "Username". I'd much rather have just the Iron than Ironwoman but thats just cause I think it sounds cooler.
  21. Meet the Maker Sessions have been uploaded to the rs youtube. Unfortunately the Ninja one wasn't recorded. Meet the Makers - Content Mod Lewis R, Mod Daze, Mod Moltare, Mod Deg and Mod Timbo Meet the Makers - Elf City Mod hunter, Mod Ante, Mod Alex R, Mod Rowley, Mod Stacey, and Mod Giara Meet the Makers - Lore Mod Stu, Mod Raven, Mod Osborne, and Mod Chaose Meet the Makers - Oldschool Runescape Mod John C, Mod Ronan, Mod Ash,Mod Reach, and Mod Ghost Meet the Makers - PvM Mod Chris L, Mod Ramen, Mod C3DPO (Dean), Mod Harrison, and Mod Ollie
  22. Thing is, the OSRS team can cut out a lot of things the RS3 team can't because its just simpler. The textures and graphics are much simpler, they don't have the more intricate music, the playerbase isn't as demanding about weekly updates. They can also have a lot bigger and more coherent plan because they only really have a few projects at once. Whereas RS3 is trying to shuffle around a lot of stuff.
  23. Well you can have a little tiny snake demon that bites your nose. Sounds like an awesome pet.
  24. Its all been OSRS and Chronicle so far, no new stuff for RS3 yet
  25. I told them to remove the back tassels, they're annoying anyway
