  1. Sayln is mtx though, its probably just overrides from solomons Edit: Yea they're just solomons overrides http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=os89rSdK6Wk/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?309,310,973,65535457
  2. I think last time this happened for KK though it ended up making pretty awful drops more common, so we'll see how it goes.
  3. Thats probably due to complaints. A lot of people disliked the mass influx of rare drops over that weekend, and the g.e. panic that usually goes with it.
  4. It's just a bit jarring that they're pretty much the only boss that hasn't seen a graphical overhaul yet, really. Not a necessity by any means, but it would be cool to see one down the line. Of course they do indeed need one, but I was just making the point to what Tim said that we knew from day 1 boss pets didn't have scope to update them and that they only even made it into the pet roster because we (the players) demanded it regardless of graphics. A few even demanded it because of graphics. Some on forums wanted a few pets with that old graphics feel.
  5. as I previously mentioned, if this happened after that quest, it wouldn't really make sense because the player would already know about this and even to some extent where everything is located, plus a few other elements in the story (like say, THE ENTIRE STORY) which would have heavily changed the outcome, but they have a dialogue option for people who already did FOTG too, but then Zaros would have had different dialogue if this happened first (he doesn't, this quest doesn't even register when I go back to talk to him), so really, they tried to split it both ways, and screwed up massively because there's contradictions for it happening IN EITHER DIRECTION Post-quest dialogue with Azzy is coming, Mod Osborne just checked it over. It has to go through translation and coding in now. This quest is supposed to be an introduction to the Elder Gods for lower level players. I'd prefer they made FOTG require it, but I doubt they'll go back and mess with requirements. Considering how much a a wreck the requirements are after the 5th/6th age split, I don't think this is that much of an issue.
  6. Because they don't have attack animations, simple as that. It also seems like a good place to start, its only like 6 pets in the category, they can check for bugs, gauge reaction to it, etc. If they don't work on the others it will be disappointing, but I don't particularly blame them for only releasing 6 first. Also, money, these are the most expensive pets I think (not counting the premier club pets since they come with membership in the package)
  7. [hide]So cruel, Xenia used to be so awesome, hoping she comes back but kinda doubt it[/hide]
  8. Remember, for some of the older players this will be a general rehash of the lore. This is an intermediate quest meant to introduce the Elder God concept and a bit of info about them to newer players. So it won't be as in-depth lore-wise as FotG or the wandering ga'al bookcase.
  9. The main point of contention at least on forums was whether to start the quest off slow and with low reqs, so new players could get a taste and it could build up well, or whether they should just right in with a semi-high levelled quest where you meet one of them immediately. While they could have done a research quest later, it wouldn't have fit the same purpose of introducing lower-levelled players to the idea of Elder Gods and its hard to go back and start off slow when the first quest in the series starts with you meeting one. Thats why I like that FotG will not be a req for this one, so theoretically the quest line can start before any new players have even heard of the Elder Gods.
  10. It was, except it was also for the first quest in the elder god quest line. The research option was basically to start slow and build up, so if that wasn't chosen they pretty much couldn't go back and do that later. So, while all the others can still be done, the research one needed to win or it was pretty much out.
  11. Thats still pretty flawed. There are definitely better ways to do it, but I think they'd need to throw out the First Past the Post System entirely. Maybe go with a ranking system, or "choose all that apply", so you could actually see how many would want each type.
  12. Mainly because this quest's direction was the result of a PttP poll, so they're kind of stressing that. Although, one could argue that of the ones that cared overall they did want to face an elder god, since the final results were 37% - Researching the Elder Gods (49210 votes) 21% - Bik and the Oceans (27906 votes) 18% - Don't Mind/Not Interested (24145 votes) 17% - Ful and the TzHaar (23156 votes) 07% - Wen and the Dwarves (9934 votes) So, overall 45% wanted to face an Elder God right away, they just couldn't agree which. So while players did choose research and to start off low (my personal choice as well) its not at all obvious that the playerbase as a whole wanted another build-up like elves or zaros quest.
  13. thats how its supposed to work I think, but hasn't always for me. Sometimes I'll be in base with two room exits, use card, open a door and its not there, then have to open the other door out of the room for it to work.
  14. Did you do the whole dungeon? I've found the yak recipe like 2 doors away, or in a different room near me and not the first one opened
  15. The "Magmatic Wings" and Bird are both from http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?16,17,92,65522079 Which heavily seems to suggest they're probably premier club membership items. The bird could be a cool pet, but it looks more like a teleport to me. I'd really like it as a pet though.
  16. from Eurogamer http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-11-20-runescape-dev-jagex-announces-5v5-fps-block-n-load?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialoomph
  17. I think tif has a unified voice, I think we can all agree that "some things probably definitely kind of suck most/none/part/all of the time but all the other times they're somewhat extremely ok sort of"
  18. I got 12 off one of mine. I think 8 might be upper limit with no boost, and 15 or 16 with boosts
  19. I have 2 so far, but mainly taking it easy. Got one of them off a yak card, and a 2nd one because a bunyip card gave me yak effect. I might keep waiting it out and work on other things seeing as people keep ripping their hair out over it.
  20. What I find most interesting from the rune index is that it kinda shows that the idea runes were overly devalued and need buffing was kinda a bit of a myth really. If you take the most stable period on there (09-11ish) the rune index was in the ballpark of 110-130 And for most of 2014 the rune index was in the exact same ballpark. Certainly there was a post eoc dip, but by that index they'd climbed back to the usual stable region pretty much entirely prior to the poll. I truly believe that the problem that many have now isn't that skilling makes less than it did before, because many skilling materials are at about what they were years ago. The issue is that PvM now has items worth so much more than it used to years back, whereas skilling materials haven't risen as much. So, while skilling materials may not be worth less than they used to be, they just haven't kept up near combat. It used to be you might skill to get guthans or a whip, and the difference seemed reasonable, but now if you're skilling for ascensions or seismics, or even drygores its a lot easier to notice how little skilling actually makes and start calling for better methods and more valueable skilling.
  21. Stab the wood nymphs that jump out of the logs as you fletch
  22. If they'd just remove combat from the game then none of this would be an issue
  23. The issue is for both of these polls, they're kind of exclusive. You either do this or you don't do this, little to no middle ground. So you either ignore the large group that lost the poll or you ignore the larger group that won the poll. With some of the other polls they could say "ok, X won so we'll do that first, but Y was incredibly close so we're going to schedule that to be worked on after X is done". But these polls you can't really do that.
  24. If its repairable at any point then it probably wouldn't need the algarum thread/reinforcing plates/stones of binding and could save you about 3m per repair for a full set.
