  1. Because the lag and dc'ing is due to DDOS attacks and not just poor servers. They can and probably are fighting those, but its not as simple as "just fix the server"
  2. Soul Reaper and Boss Pets aren't really bigger than say addy dragons or slayer belt in terms of development time. You are contradicting yourself here. There is a large chunk of ninja updates every week, it's not like they stopped doing them to make space for couple bigger ones. Can't really call yourself completionist if you haven't completed all bosses. Simple as that. What's your problem here? Wait what? I don't see what was removed? The ability to abuse a bug that allowed to deal damage to 'damage immune' bosses? Not sure if you are even serious.Majority of the bosses can be done by pretty much everyone. Who can't kill General Graador, Giant Mole, KBD or barrows bros? If you get a boss beyond your skill level, there is one FREE skip a day for you. 'everyone' includes the pvm crowd. As I said above, read the patch notes to see your weekly everyday improvements. And no, Ryan is a Q/A tester in the Ninja team, Mod Ana is the boss. If you take a look at the hiscores you can see over 15k people at max total level. Simply being maxed does not separate you from the casuals crowd any more(as opposed to what some people on this thread believe) No Soul Reaper and boss pets are a lot bigger than slayer belt, addy and rune dragons it depends how they do them, they could theoretically be as big as soul reaper. Its probably the only one of the five that isn't a ninja update. You certainly could call yourself a completionist even if you lacked the reflexes to boss pre-soul reaper. If you've read Mod Osborne's thought on why PvP shouldn't be on Comp Cape, a lot of it applies to high level PvM as well. Its physically impossible for some people to complete, thats my problem. I mistyped on the third one, it was boss pets that was supposed to be more community focused with a lot more community friendly ways to obtain the pets. If Mod Ana is the boss, then Ryan is definitely the mouth piece and seems to be the one that gets down on the non-PvM'ers a lot. His attitude seems to shine through the updates a lot, so even if she's the boss he probably still has way too much input. For a team aimed at everyone, their larger projects seem to be focused a lot more on PvM than anything else. I don't see them creating content for lower levels really, and the Ninja Section of patch notes has decreased in size a lot. Now that there are a crapload of player suggested ninja fixes on runelabs they should go back to solely working on those. Everyone includes pvm'ers, but what they've been making is exclusionary content and not inclusionary content, anyone outside the PvM'ers have no use for it. Who exactly do you consider casuals then? Is it time spent, or do you have to be a 1337 pvm'er to qualify? You seem to be assuming that they need to play how you want them to play just to qualify as non-casual. Yes, Dunge was made to be the endgame skill. Skilling in general after 99 is endgame stuff. Of course you don't see endgame content when you exclude most endgame stuff from your definition of endgame
  3. Look at Ninja Team though, they were created to do small updates to make the game better. Instead they started doing larger projects now, with the bigger ones being soul reaper and boss pets. Soul Reaper was used as a way to keep people who can't boss from having the comp cape, and soul reaper was originally aimed at being a much more community friendly update until at the advice of hardcore pvm'ers Ryan removed it from everyone else. Meanwhile, we ended up with a RuneLabs month with a bunch of stuff that Ninja Team should be doing. They need to drop their big projects, or at least hurry and finish them, then get back to what their whole purpose was so we aren't wasting other teams on Ninja stuff. He may be one person, but he seems to be making the decisions for the team. A team that is supposed to be about making the game better for everyone, not just the Hardcore PvM crowd.
  4. Sometimes the hardcore PvM crowd annoys me, but overall I don't have any problems with them. My problem with Ryan is not that he leans towards that crowd, but he seemed unable to understand any viewpoint except that of the hardcore PvM group. I think Ninja Team should be more flexible and he clearly isn't
  5. Mod Ryan has bothered me the few times he's responded on twitter. Its so clear that he doesn't care about any players except the hardcore PvM crowd.
  6. Honestly doubt we will. Look at most of the top ideas, they weren't the good ideas, just the ideas that happened to be created right when the support button went live. I doubt we'll see some of those again, unless their cretors re-make the topics again when it launches. I mean "Support if you would like a daily DnD which gives a reward choice of: - Agility XP - Herblore XP - Farming XP" made it into the top 10, you can't say thats because it was one of the best ideas we had.
  7. It depends how they do it. It could probably be a small or extra small if they just recolored and rebalanced mith and put them in a re-used or already existing environment. If they were to give it the KK hive treatment though it could be medium.
  8. Yea, I've also suggested they add another option to poll "Medium Update-Jagex would Poll a medium update from RuneLabs instead of two small updates." on the Poll Thread here http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=YWjXb4Lm*FQ/sl=0/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?352,353,81,65565952,goto,9 So, we'll see.
  9. Thanks, think its the first time I've ever really been called that.
  10. They seem to just be back to being sorted only by date.
  11. Looks like the first round for Runelabs is over. Support buttons are disable again at the moment.
  12. kk is 1/2000 so it sticks to the 1/5
  13. Not that I know of, people just tend to check around after Deg is involved in an update
  14. [spoiler=Deg Site Quest Spoiler] Another part of Deg's quest came out with this update. Can trade the ruined essence for a creepy doll by using it on Brother Celerity in the edgeville monastery
  15. [spoiler=One of a Kind Spoiler] Basically, we learned in One of a Kind that the Kin created metal dragons by pouring molten metal over Dragon Eggs while doing some sort of enchantment. Many of the dragon eggs didn't survive it. I imagine it was quite painful and probably caused a lot of rage. I don't think it would make sense for any metal dragons to really be refined.
  16. Honestly, its not like they're going to remove TH. I'd rather protean stuff than more tradeable supplies coming into the game like actual hides.
  17. They're adding a filter tomorrow. The default will be to only show ideas that can be supported, but you can choose to show all.
  18. You don't need to relog in for every support, or at least I didn't.
  19. Support button is now activated, can go and support any of the ideas you like
  20. This is kind of the thing I was trying to get at, really. We already have complicated recipes that heal more than equivalent food. Nobody uses them because there is no reason to go through that much effort for marginally more healing than sharks or monkfish or what-have-you. Cooking's products are pretty one-dimensional in that regard, it'd be better for any multi-step recipes to do something unique that would justify the time it takes to make them. Yea, never thought about it because its still used a lot, but cooking could use a major rework. So that even rocktails at low levels wouldn't heal that much unless worked into a more complicated dish.
  21. Guthix isn't really a Naragi anymore, just as Saradomin is no longer really a human. Regardless if life status, she is a fading memory of a long dead race, yes. I think the basic idea with that line of thought was if Guthix was a member then the race was really only less than 1 year dead gamewise. Although since he wasn't really Naragi since ascending then yes she is.
  22. Nex's drop rate is actually 1/2000 No, its not affected by wealth effects Also, they released DKS rates now. 1/2500 base drop rate, 1500 threshold. Based on Araxxor and DKS it seems like the threshold is probably based upon the number of pets available for that counter. Most bosses have 1 pet so the threshold is 1/5 the base drop rate. Since both Barry and Mallory come from the Araxxi kill count it takes 2/5 of the base drop rate for threshold. Since DKS has 3 pets its 3/5 of base for threshold. Which means theoretically legios may have a threshold higher than the base drop rate at 6/5
  23. I like my combat to be strategically planned out. So I'd mostly prefer passive, but combo or risky would be ok. The simple fish sounds boring and the random fish sound annoying though
  24. My bad, somehow I missed that...oops
  25. more like filling in the gaps. Also useful for iron men
