  1. Honestly, I'd prefer they dropped the idea of making other skills go to 120. Elite Skills allow them to add more content onto skills already. However, if they just made skills go to 120, there are already thousands of players that have all the content unlocked already. Smithing and Mining just needs a rework, doesn't need 120's, same with some other skills. Anything that can't be fixed by a rework can get elite skills.
  2. because you grind grind grind and finally get it, then you don't wanna be forced to get rid of it when they add new content. Also, quite a few of the comp/trim requirements are absolute garbage. Castle war games sucks in particular. I understand it's the completionist cape as well as the trimmed version, but I really am not interested in doing 25 chimp ice deliveries, killing 4k chompies or playing 18 zillion castle war games amongst many of the other tasks. Personal rant aside, I'm 98% certain that's why people finally get their trim/comp capes then keepsake them. I hope I'm at least partially speaking for the people here  Just so ya know, you can't wear the keepsake versions if you have any reqs undone, so keepsake doesn't really change anything
  3. Current thinking is that 104m exp will be 120, just the level curve will be different. I assume they plan to flatten the curve a bit so that it isn't minimal exp to start and then like 10m exp for last level https://twitter.com/JagexOsborne/status/609305738876334080
  4. Saradomin wants to use his power to protect people who are too weak to protect themselves. He believes his power gives him the responsibility to use it for the good of mankind. He chooses to use his gift to fight evil. Zamorak isn't interested in protecting anyone. All he's after is power, and he'll do anything to get it, even if it means destroying innocent lives. That's not even propaganda. Look at what he actually DOES in the storyline. He blows up Forinthry! He commits genocide against the dwarves! Etc. Basically, Saradomin is Superman and Zamorak is Lex Luthor. Lex Luthor loves to paint himself as the hero and Superman as the villain. Well, **** you, Luthor, if you want to be the hero, maybe try actually helping other people. And not just in imaginary storylines, either. But, Saradomin attacked the Naragi. He went to their world and attacked them. That doesn't seem like Superman to me.
  5. Yea, Zilyana is awful. But there are a lot of "good" Saradominists that players get along with. There are very few if any "good" Zamorakians that aren't antagonistic towards the player. So I think overall Zamorak has no decent followers to show you how his ideas could make the world better whereas several Saradominists show that Saradominist societies can be functional and decent.
  6. Unfortunately, Zamorak still seems to have only the worst followers. Zarosian mahjarrat tend to help or work with us while Zammy's Mahjarrat tend to be some of the more villainous ones. So even if I wanted to follow Zamorak, I wouldn't want to empower his other followers by doing so
  7. Zammy is in 2nd...the big pile of animated rocks is in first. Well...of the factions at least. The pig is holding its own pretty well.
  8. Honestly, I think Chris L shows through on this World Event. He's very creative with mechanics, but its usually updates devoid of story or real meaning that he does. Bosses that don't require backstory. Rots and Arraxor for instance. They don't require much backstory because the players they want to reach don't care about that. Instead of any well known Godless character he put in Rago. Rago makes some sense to be there, but not really as a member of a faction. If anything he should be the "I don't care about your petty conflicts, I'm just here to protect the world" side instead of actually making him join one of the factions. Rago doesn't seem like one to actually join a faction. As for Zamorak, I'm not that surprised. Zamorak is the only option there that is considered "evil" by many in the playerbase. So you have those that want to support evil and those that actually support him for lore reasons supporting him. Meanwhile, the "good" factions are divided between Armadyl, Saradomin, and Godless (since players are treating Godless as "I'm not a saradomin, zamorak, or armadyl supporter"). So in essence Zamorak's type of follower is undivided so while a smaller number, there's less overlap and they'll all go zammy.
  9. In the forum QA they said no it does not. They did say in the forum Q&A that they intend to make it so that it does though. Link to it http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?396,397,222,65632328
  10. I doubt we're gonna be able to stop her from hitting the planet. It might just be where she hits and if she's still alive to do more damage that matter. They seem to imply in Q&As that at least parts of the event will still exist after. So maybe its the difference between landing off the coast and landing somewhere populated.
  11. On the Q&A they mentioned they plan to change the numbers monday, since it was a bit too hard. But, if Tuska get 16 days she wins. So they may have deliberately made it easier while they work on the actual change so that players don't lose for a full week while waiting.
  12. Meh, Godless seem the opposite of Zaros to me. When talking to him on Frenskae he accepted all the Gods on runescape for their strongest traits, the Godless accept none of them and would kill them all if they could
  13. I think the annoyance comes because people are using the Godless as a catch-all. The Godless aren't being used as a faction enough and are being treated as an "if you arent in the other factions go here". I've heard a bunch of people say things like "I'm Zarosian so I'm going Godless here" or Seren, etc. The Godless aren't being treated like a faction with its own goals, they're being treated as the "none of the above option. Jagex probably should have allowed players to choose an "I don't care about politics, I'm just here to kill the pig" option. Then we could fairly see who actually wanted to work for each faction. If Godless still won that then great, but right now they're mainly being ignored as a faction and used as a catch-all and that is annoying. True, but then not everyone is treating them as a catch all. People who are Zarosian but have a view of the godless might pick to go Arma because its the least 'offensive' to them etc. Plus I don't see why everyone is getting all butt hurt about it - it happened in the other events too. Everyone went Sara just because they disliked Zam or vice versa. People went Bandos cause they disliked Armadyl and vice versa. People went Brassica because they disliked Marimbo and vice versa. My point still applies that people seem to be claiming Godless is acting as a catch all and are only winning just because they aren't linked to a god. But thats not true, if it was true Godless would've owned Marimbo and Brassica in the spring event. Equally I don't see anything wrong with people supporting other deities making a choice on who to follow. Zarosian ideology based on the most recent quests is all about defending the planet - the exact same thing Vorago and the Godless present here. So why wouldn't Zarosians realistically pick godless as the closet to their beiliefs? Same goes for Guthixians and even Seren followers really - ideologies of peace and protection the planet given the 4 choices most closely link to Godless or perhaps Armadyl. And surprise surprise Armadyl is holding a solid 2nd place. To me its just childish whining to moan about Godless winning because people have just as valid reasons for picking them as any other faction present. Plus it is not new or unique to this world event that followersof non-represented gods have to pick a side they least object with to support - even if that support is derived purely from 'i dont want any god other than my own beating tuska and gaining power' No one took Brassica versus Marimbo seriously, it was clear that it was just a fun little event. So most just picked cabbage or monkey. People aren't doing all that math in their head that you just showed though, Sy. They treat the Godless like they're not even a faction. Like they're the "If no faction here represents you then pick this". Whereas the Godless have their own specific goals, and aren't just a "no faction present" option. It might have helped if Jagex actually put dialogue in to explain that, instead of the copypaste stuff they did. They're basically benefitting fro the fact that no one cares enough to learn who they are.

  15. You mention that we don't have much fear of returning to global war after only 70 years. But we had stockpiling between the US and USSR for years after that war because they were afraid of the threat, and I'm pretty sure if someone viewed as a great enemy for many people like Hitler returned with the power he had before the war ended then the stockpiling would commence again. As far as the followers, its kind of my point that they don't really "do" much at the moment. We see how the citadels work for clans, but we don't really see much variation. There is some metal, some food (that apparently comes from nowhere so possibly delivered to the citadel from below), 1 type of tree. It seems like to get specific types of materials the aviansies would still need to go to the surface. Bandos is dead but whether some follow Zanik (which is only a chance, she can also die) there are still large numbers of Bandosians on Gielinor that don't, and they already have a hierarchy so I don't see their civilizations just collapsing. Saradominists have ruled much of Gielinor for a long time, but still they are afraid of Zamorakians, and I wouldn't be surprised that they want to gather more supplies in order to try to take as much of Gielinor as possible and counter the others. I guess I just see roaming militias as the step before cults start really solidifying. To me, full organization comes after the roving bands go across, as those bands might start setting up outposts and further civilizations. Although I might include those ideas later if there's a Runelabs contest that I think fits them better.
  16. Honestly, I don't think the fanatics would be willing to wait. Maybe some of the higher ranked ones. The warbands are little more than bandits, and I think there are fanatics that would be truly loyal but still want to be prepared for whatever they were ordered to do. You don't want to be caught off-guard if your leader finally calls on you to do something. Not to mention after years of living under Saradominist society, I don't think many of the other faction followers will be eager to continue. Meanwhile, Saradominists have been taking action against other factions for a long time, so it makes sense they'd take action moreso now that Saradomin has shown himself. I'm not saying there needs to be full scale destroyed cities (although a white knights vs kinshra war for falador could be a fun world event). But the faction grunts should be seen doing something. Many of them have been chomping at the bit for their Gods to return, and I don't think they'd do nothing now that they have. The last God Wars levelled civilizations, caused entire cities and regions to stop existing. So far all we have is a crater and a couple towers. There should be some evidence that people are at least preparing for whatever is coming, it shouldn't look like nothing has changed.
  17. Just because the Gods have their own plans doesn't mean their followers aren't busy. There were a bunch of plots by followers pre-sixth age in the name of their Gods, you can't tell me that the followers would just sit around waiting now that the Gods are actually returned. These are the factions actually preparing, they aren't specifically looking for a fight but if theey find other factions preparing as well they're going to stop them. It makes no sense for the World to sit peacefully with all the fanatics and faithful around. Your explanation goes into why the Gods themselves aren't running around attacking, but not why all their followers are just sitting around and doing nothing.
  18. Honestly, if I can get these in with RuneLabs, I have some ideas for expansions to it. Involving monthly contests between factions, combine it with my item sink idea and such. But first I gotta get the ball rolling at least a bit.
  19. Nah, guessing they only do any contact if you win. Also, if we're doing blatant self-promotion...My idea for this month is Faction Gathering Parties. Assist or kill the factions as they attempt to gather resources across the game world. Theres a God War going on and it should feel like it! https://[LikelyScam]/m=player-proposal/a=13/view-idea?idea=36439
  20. They're all great ideas, if I win I'll be thrilled but I wouldn't be sorry to lose to any of them
  21. Thalers are apparently based on time played and not the game itself so they should mostly be equal, although idk if time spent in lobbies counts https://twitter.com/moltare/status/594227593618030592
  22. Hmmmm, BTS was too cryptic, can't tell if WE3 is this month or next. The astronomy hints are clearly for WE3 though.
  23. Yea, think I'd have rather had a new floor to the actual museum
  24. I really want God Bobbleheads at some point. Tried getting them in with my large version for my faction sink. But if we do get them in I'm not sure I'd want them in a holiday event. Although since the idea is to have it repeatable every year maybe it would be ok. Perhaps suggest that here http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=6Rj6aWXhR3w/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?185,186,693,65613569 since I plan on directing J Mods there if I win for most feedback I get.
  25. More like a slightly more involved Butterflies with divination and combat rewards. Wasn't even thinking of Warbands, was just thinking of the main skills from World Event 2.
