  1. The game IS for 11 years old. I think u need to realise this. YOU are too old.Except you're required by Jagex to be 13 years of age to play. Such a short-sighted comment. Nobody is ever too old to play a videogame. You may play this under the age of 13 if one of the parents is watching you play :3 (or at least that was allowed in the past) Or if you lie when you create your account.
  2. I can't vote for vyres cause thats all about preparation. The winners would be the ones getting pyre logs and vyre corpses now and not during that week.
  3. Basically, the issue is that it just opened, and RS3 has a lot of trolls. So, there are a lot of awful submissions and no way to sift through things yet. Its very possible that once we get support, sort, and search functionality that this will work a lot better. However, it remains to be seen how well it will work.
  4. I would do something that would have less chance of deleting possibly good ideas. Perhaps if an idea doesn't get over 5 supports in 6 months then its deleted. This would be a way to get rid of ideas that are basically abandoned (if a player is getting no supports for several months, then either the community dislikes it or the player has probably abandoned it because a player could probably get at least 5 supports from friends). With this idea, most ideas that are heavily disliked or abandoned will be deleted. It will leave some trash but less.
  5. I disagree though in many ways. For something like Minigames where Jagex has tried to fix it, I think a player needs to give their own solutions. However, for some other things like "rework smithing" its not a matter of Jagex not having ideas (Mod Jack had a whole system in mind for it already) but a matter of budget. So a simple "rework mining/smithing" could work perfectly well without some additional idea if we're given a chance to vote on a large project.
  6. Well, the J mods still have to pick the ideas to put in the polls. They'll pick from the popular ones but it seemed like they'd also somewhat filter. So, a small protection, but at the same time a terrible idea thats just getting a lot of votes due to e-celeb may be obvious. More likely it would end up with an average idea getting above average votes, and then its harder to filter.
  7. they'll probably be removed by J mods if they do. I actually liked the Minigames bots idea. Might be the only way to get minigames going again.
  8. Yea, pretty awkward that hundreds of people couldn't read the instructions and see those topics aren't allowed
  9. Infinity and Balance were also players hired by Jagex, so yea its basically the same mistake. They ran Runezone which almost no one had even heard of until Jagex hired them, then all of a sudden it became basically a Jagex offsite. Timbo may balance wrong every once in a while, but its not like he creates P.R. issues like the player J Mods tended to do. I think the problem is that many J Mods look at it as a job first, and a game second. Which works well, they seem to enjoy the jobs and what they create but there is still a degree of knowledge that it is a job and there are certain things you don't do. Many of the players recruited as J Mods still treat it like they aren't really working. As such, they still have a degree of acting like players and not Jagex employees. This leads to P.R. issues where a player would be fine to say/do something but a company representative's words/actions have more weight and they fail to realize that. That said, overall I like Lee. I think he went overbearing and didn't think out the full consequences of his statement, but compared to the others I think he's one of the better ones.
  10. He was the most professional of the player J Mods they recruited but none of them were really professionals. They were all popular streamers that Jagex hired. Most of Lee's job just seems to be making some videos and putting on some community events.
  11. Next phase is getting the support. I figured that this could be a way for the tip.it community to try to drum up support for their rune labs submissions.
  12. Honestly, it didn't seem to fit what the suggestion forum had to say "Talk and compare serious issues affecting RuneScape and potential solutions to these issues." since RuneLabs really doesn't have to be any serious problem, or fixing a problem at all. It can just be new content thats not really fixing a problem. Whereas here people can post and discuss their ideas, as well as having them all listed on the main post so that no one's idea gets lost in the discussion.
  13. Added your idea to the Rune Labs Idea thread.
  14. Yea, but Runelabs is here permanently, seemed better to have a place to post links to your ideas that won't get lost in the discussion of the system itself
  15. I figured that since RuneLabs is now out, we should have a thread for players to post links to their RuneLabs Submissions for the rest of us to check out. Prevent possibly having multiple threads for everyone's ideas. I'll put all the ideas in the first post for people to look over easier. 16. https://twitter.com/JagexLee/status/557236323061600256 oh well, looks like we're fine to repost once Lioness sees this.
  17. The thread from it has now been hidden. I don't know if he hid it, he's been overridden on it by another J Mod, or they're planning to change the rules more officially. Waiting to see if anything is mentioned about it.
  18. By the way, Cleansing Crystals won't be doubled on bxpw https://twitter.com/JagexTimbo/status/556110502703943680
  19. Yea, apparently Shark Tank is just the U.S. version's name. Internationally that show is called The Dragon's Den, which makes the Dragonkin's Den name a more blatant reference.
  20. Jagex is going to allow posting pictures on the suggestion forum until they can allow pictures in RuneLabs source: http://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/2si265/images_on_runelabs/
  21. Weird, I had the stretch bug for weeks, and it fixed for me this past one.
  22. There are a handful of people who use the official world to 'leech', literally a handful. The vast majority don't, for the simple reason that W24 (the official server) is way too unpredictable, and you are likely to end up on the losing team and get nothing, it's far more efficient to join a tie game FC where you are guaranteed tickets. Also W24 games are rigged by people going for Hybrid Armour. It is literally impossible that a handful of people who afk/leech in world 24 are the cause of Castle Wars' decline in popularity. Most people ignore those AFK'ers, or kill them. Also, there have always been people who just stood in Castle Wars and just did nothing. Leechers are not a recent development. Castle Wars always had such people. So yes, it's literally impossible. When I did my trim there were 20+ leechers on each side. I think it was incredibly detrimental to the game.
  23. I would say the best response would probably be to give those who get full profound or 5k games a title. it wouldn't get rid of absolutely all the leechers/boosters, but I think a title would have considerably less of them. Perhaps "_________ the Professional" for 5k games, or "The Profound ________" for showing Lanthus full profound. Then those who did the req can still show off, but its no longer on the trim cape where it didn't really fit.
  24. Most people who have already completed the requirements are certainly not in favour of getting rid of them. You and like-minded people are the minority. That's just the reality. Its hard to really gauge it but there always seem to be more people in charge of fixing it when these discussions come up. Of course, that could just be the trimmers are silent, but to say its definite is a stretch.
