  1. It was up earlier but has been taken down. It used to have various different locations and only 1 j mod at a time. I think they're changing it to multiple j mods each on a different world and in lumby crater to reduce the lag.
  2. Note: Earlier there was also a message about a "cloak of seasons" that would be like the crown of seasons was before... able to get items to make it from farming, herb,wc, and firemaking or treasure hunter. Its been removed from the bts and Jagex has locked a few posts about it.
  3. There's an issue with some dns servers or something. I had to change to google's dns to get it working https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/
  4. Most of the tasks take 5-10 minutes max and there are only 20. So even with a tight month its possible that you could still get them done
  5. Yea, you need to activate the task for all of them before it will check them off. I think its so that you can make sure you only check off the one you really want to for the day. Like how some players may automatically cap divine locations on reset everyday, but thats an easy one and since they happen to have extra time that day they want to do castle wars or something, this way they can still do their daily divine locations without having to delay it till cw is over.
  6. I figured since its no longer an update teaser, there should be a thread to discuss anything that comes up about it. Few things, first of all I like that they brought back partyhat firemaking as a reward. Second, when it says you need to gather your daily limit from divine locations, thats your full limit. Some of the higher tier locations that cost X3 or x4 units of your limit may stop short of actually hitting your limit. You'd need to seek out a mithril rock or something thats only 1 unit per item to actually hit the cap.
  7. RuneScape Road Trip - Starts 1st May Get ready for a RuneScape Road Trip! From 1st May 2014, 1am BST, you'll have a whole month to complete 20 special tasks, earning XP aplenty, a hiker's outfit and a cheeky monkey pet. Each weekend, there'll be an awesome bonus event, giving increased XP, drops, minigame rewards and more - plus, there'll be tons of fun stuff scheduled in the RuneScape community. May's a great time to be a RuneScape member. Read on for more information, or log in then and speak to Challenge Mistress Fara. Let's Hit the Road Challenge Mistress Fara Head over to Burthorpe and chat to Challenge Mistress Fara, who'll give you the run-down of the how the road trip's going to work, and hand you your road trip journal. This lists 20 tasks, of which you can complete one per day throughout May. We know May's a busy month for many of you, so we've made the RuneScape Road Trip accessible and flexible - you'll be able to enjoy it, even if your time is limited. The tasks are varied, fun, and you can complete them in any order you wish: Complete a Dungeoneering floor. Complete a Slayer assignment. Complete a Treasure Trail. Equip a full outfit of cosmetic gear. Do a dance on every bridge over the River Lum. Fletch 100 bows. Smith 100 bars into anything. Make 100 runes. Burn 100 logs. Complete a quest, or Tears of Guthix. Rest for a minute. Complete a full round of Heist. Complete a full round of Castle Wars. Run from Shantay Pass to Uzer without any waterskins. Bury 100 bones in a graveyard. Kill a demon, goblin, or goblin raid boss during a flash mob. Survive in the Wilderness for 10 minutes. Complete a round of the Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza minigame. Feed 10 breadcrumbs to a duck or a drake in under 20 seconds. Gather your daily limit from divine locations. They're rewarding, too: you'll get an XP lamp for each one you complete - usable in the skill of your choice. At 5, 10, 15 and 20 tasks complete, you'll get a piece of the cosmetic hiker's outfit, and at 20, you'll also get the cheeky monkey pet. If you can't make it for 20 days, or if there's a particular task you don't like the look of, help is at hand! Our friendly JMods will be in the game throughout the month, and will be able to stamp tasks on your journal, granting you the completed task and reward. Keep an eye on the news and the forums for more details of JMod visits and community events throughout May. 8. I know 99 cape redesigns would be cool, but there was never any intention of doing that so of course its predictable.
  9. Brawlers are now on the Rare Drop Table https://twitter.com/JagexPi/status/460723250935660546
  10. Correct, there are other updates in May Source:http://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/23yu8q/bts_102_the_runescape_road_trip/ch1xaz1
  11. Not all of us are this callous though. Yes, everyone is geared to pursue to their self-interest, but some of us do keep some regard for others. I could make a lot of money by peddling crack to crack addicts, but for some reason or another, I don't. yeah that's the things though... some regard. Jagex has that unlike crack dealers who plainly want their money. Jagex isn't putting a gun to your head ready to pull the trigger without concern. They so have concern and interest in healthy playing habits. They just aren't holding your hand guiding you. The world lacks common sense and personal accountability. This would be another example of that if a person choose a game over a carrier. Actually the fact that they are doing this is indicative of their complete lack of regard for the personal health and habits of their playerbase. They are openly and shamelessly taking advantage of people who don't know any better, and are proudly acknowledging it. I can't think of any way to spin this incident in any positive light. Perhaps on their next BTS they can proudly boast that since stealing candy from babies is very easy, that they will now actually start doing that. Their statistics state that the average player plays a little over an hour each day. A few people seem to have fallen into an XP Craze and have become more and more addicted to the game as time has gone on. People have stopped playing the game for fun - or if it isn't efficient "it isn't fun". Minigames dead left and right - content dead on arrival if it isn't efficient. Stop and smell the roses. If you find you don't actually enjoy the roses, leave the garden (the game) and go play something you actually enjoy. Each and every day I see too many players who actively state they HATE playing this game, but continue to play.... I just don't get it. I would like to see their stats for bonus weekends like the 4 in may. While the average may be one hour per day do most players stick to that during bonus weekends, or do most go crazy
  12. I would agree, if they hadn't outright stated that they knew people were busy. They know its a bad time and they've gotta know what a lot of their player base is like.
  13. You're busy in May, you might forget runescape for a while maybe even let membership lapse till exams and such are over, now you won't.
  14. By late in the game, I meant late in the development of the quest. Sorry was using a phrase that is easy to misinterpret. What I'm saying with is that I think for a quest due out in May all the dialogue and stuff should be pretty much finalized by now.
  15. I would not say its at all certain what content it would come with. Could be Mahjaratt, could be dragonrider, could be dragonkin, could be time travel concept they had tied to 1st age, could be any random content that happens to uncover something from his existence. Yea, it could be a quest, but it seems a bit late in the game to be adding new information for a quest.
  16. Personally I think they need to either ban trust trades used to convert 07 to rs3 items and vice versa, or make multilogging both games against the rules. I'd prefer they do the latter but one of them needs to be made against the rules. Also, here's the post that Balance was responding to: http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=1HyeNCpSQjc/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?278,279,789,65349709 In summary, a player wanted clarification because another post hadn't been responded to by a J mod. The other post mentioned that a live streamer talked about how he was alching on one account while slaying on another. The post wanted to know if multi-logging was ok as long as the accounts didn't interact and if not then why was Jagex allowing streamers to get away with it.
  17. Just to add a bit on, Divination update planned as the main update during the first week in May.
  18. Fair enough, but I don't think any of the Gods except Zaros really know whats going to occur. I could see Armadyl at least stopping his wars if he knew. Its not really petty unless they know of the major threat and still completely ignore it for their wars. The Dragonkin of course probably know but its possible that it may be part of the split between the necrosyrtes and the dactyl. I believe the Dactyl at least want to break the curse and figure out how to kill Jas. The Necrosyrtes might be so engulfed in anger that they no longer care about survival, may feel that their rage may help them become powerful enough to kill jas, or even believe that if they fulfill their role they may be allowed to live another cycle. We don't know enough about the kin, their activities and their motives to say that they aren't acting to survive the elder gods awakening.
  19. Sy, I don't see the God Wars as useless now. Just because we have to save the world doesn't mean we should no longer care what state its in after being saved. We must both ensure there is a future (elder gods) and try to ensure the future is as we want it (dragonkin and god wars). Just because the universe may end doesn't mean you stop trying to make a better future.
  20. There is at least one fc already where you aren't allowed to attack players as a gorilla called "zarosiankril". Its not as restrictive as the rules you laid out but it was working pretty well last night.
  21. I don't have a problem as much with them switching razorbacks. They degrade and are still relatively new drops compared to most. Its not like if they had made whips task only when the market is already over-saturated.
  22. I sounds like sy might be combining both methods for one of the worst methods. The one I heard similar to the one he mentioned was tag blood and get it low tag smoke and get it low tag shadow and get it low tag ice kill blood kill smoke kill shadow then just solo ice. Baasically the idea being basically the same as the others where for most of the time you're killing ice its solo, but getting the others out of the way first.
  23. Mod Osborne is looking for suggestions about which potions players want to be combineable using the new elven flasks http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=FFvufIpXFRA/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?355,356,539,65344007,goto,1
  24. Thats what I was wondering too. Is it just 1b+ gp sitting on their accounts, or 1b including items, and if it includes items then are untradeables still highly inflated. Also, I wonder how many of those players really feel like billionaires. If you have a bunch of skilling supplies and combat stuff that you're saving but low gp you might think you're poorer because it can be hard to see how much your bank really holds.
