  1. I could see some of the core team of the project being the same. But that doesn't necessarily mean the exact same team. I could see some of the team being similar...graphics, audio, etc. These parts would have a major time investment whether its a new skill or not. The J mods in charge of concepts and other stuff however might not be the same for the project. I could see them either allowing the invention team to do the design process for new skill but not allocating them the resources for graphics and audio until after city is done or vice versa.

  7. Yea, they put a lot more thought into it than I had too, knew there were quite a few but forgot how many till I went to grab a list.

If you need to do a quest before you can do a quest that takes place in the 5th age then logically its in the 5th age too.
  9. That's the problem with an mmo where a game constanly evolves as opposed to a regular game where sequels are launched after a certain amount of time to continue on the story. The story/lore of Runescape has become so complex that only the experienced players have a clear understanding of what comes before an what comes after 'the world wakes'. implementing a big change (5th age -> 6th age) in a regular game is quite easy. implementing the same change in an mmo is practicly impossible due to the ever changing player base. (tl:dr : new players have a very hard time understanding the story/lore of runescape.) I don't think anyone with half a brain has trouble understanding what comes after the world wakes - everything that comes before outright tells you it is a flashback of the 5th age before it lets you begin the quest. If anything more experienced players have a harder time placing these events precisely because we already did them and thus only know they are 5th age from an arbitrary list jagex gave us not from memory or experience of playing the quest in the frame of a flashback. Also I think new players get it much easier than experienced players ever did as Jagex are quite consciously putting the lore front and centre and simplifying things. In recent months players can learn from a single quest lore details that it took us experienced players like 15 different quests, 3 easter eggs, 5 mod osbourne faqs/interviews and a sprinkling of logic based joining together to work out. Not even close to everything that chronologically comes before TWW is labelled. There are so many quests that must come before it due to links to other quests that do its not even funny. Not to mention a small warning on the quest screen really isn't enough. They should have made a mechanic to all the switch easier like using enchanted key to start 5th age quests as "flashbacks" where once you choose to start from the key it teleports you to the start npc and starts it. That way its made clear through mechanics and not just text that these quests are different and took place in the past. I think they probably should have made the cut more clear and could have avoided all of the confusion by making any quest before the 6th age launched into 5th age quests. But picking out a few major ones and leaving most that are 5th age without any sort of marker was a bad choice.
  10. I wish they would poll the God Death in World Event 2. It seems like a bad plan to me to kill off major characters in content that no future player could ever play in the future. Not to mention that with so many players every individual is useless so its not really a player decided content anyway. Would be nice to cancel any God dying in World Events and have them over territory. When they announced World Events I was hoping they'd actually effect the game world. White Knight versus Black Knights and winner takes Falador with maybe the Godless thrown in as a Faction that wants them both out an to set up a non-theocracy. Instead we've got them killing off major content which majorly affects the lore while leaving the game essentially the same, being both too major a change and no change at all at the same time.
  11. They are quite rare but if you use the 'node find' fc they can usually help you get ~1-5 a day depending on luck. Sometimes it'll be dead for like 5 hours then you'll get a bunch close together, other times you get a pretty steady stream of 1 every 30 mins or so, but it is doable using them. I've been using it to see if I can get enough extra renown to allow me to end on Arma Dragon token; just short of gold atm cause I took a few days off. Is there something better than the Node Find FC? No, the alchs are extremely random it seems. So what you get is what you get

  13. Well, I mean you can technically do that instead too. Buy some bonds, trade for gp and use that to buy a black santa.

  15. With phase 3 of World Event you can be ambushed outside of the world event areas by npc of opposite team. It could have been that.
  16. no quest items involved, just 3 very common and easy to obtain items...although multiple amounts required of each
  17. Thats kind of why I'm not going to her about this, I don't think I've ever seen her knowingly spare a life. The only end result I can see of trying to lay out to Ana why its unfair is that both Gods die.
  18. lol, I just keep an eye on twitter and report it. I didn't even ask about dragon tokens someone else did, or I assume multiple people based upon the response. I'm still focused on trying to get him to cancel the God Death.

  22. Welcome to Tip.It. This is what we do here. :mrgreen: When making plans its best to look at what you know rather than what you don't. Well, yes. But at times we seem to forget that things can (and most likely will) change. It's like the ports thread: within the first few weeks everyone was enraged at the thought of getting full Tetsu at one plate per day. Fair enough. I'm planning to use alchemists to get everything even if it doesn't change. But if it does change for the better I'm all for it
