  1. Let's keep this in perspective of how these models could have been used. They could have easily been used in part as creatures from the avianse homeworld that's full of floating islands. Does anyone remember its name? I know it starts with a B.Abbinah. Thank you lol. Ok so it wasn't a B... No, but the "bbi" part is pronounced like the letter "B" so it makes sense that it might stand out in your mind.

  3. Honestly hate the Guaranteed Content Polls as they are being used in Old School and now invading the regular game. Its ok if Jagex wants to put out a poll where people can vote on what minor updates they want like in the past. The quest one was even fine because its not like we'll never get the gnome and pirate finales just because we voted for dwarves. However, when the content polls are requiring a 75% chance for content to even make it into the game then its going too far. Allowing 26% of the base to deny the rest of the players content sounds terrible for almost any online community, and especially for runescape's community where individuals are so divided on what they want and expect from the updates. I could see it getting to the point where a segment votes no on anything they won't personally use. "Another boss....no we've had too many" or "A skill update...no, I only do combat". Let alone on an update like an sgs pet that really won't hurt anyone by existing.
  4. I would recommend the opposite. There's no danger to your account from not using mousekeys, there is possibly some from using them. I consider gaining less XP/hr a danger for my account and time. I would consider a possible ban more of a danger. But to each their own. You know its risky at the moment so what will happen will happen.
  5. Yes, because we all know that levels on a side account is a way to measure time. We don't know if these side accounts are their only side accounts. I've had friends that have had 5+ accounts over the years, none of them ever seemed to have many stats over 80 but they had still been playing a long time. Also, not everyone treat the game like its the only game out there. Maybe those 16 years were heavily punctuated, playing a bit here or there and not 16 years of hardcore playing. I'm not saying they're telling the truth, I'm just saying your evidence is pretty much worthless.
  6. I would recommend the opposite. There's no danger to your account from not using mousekeys, there is possibly some from using them. Until its clarified I'd recommend not doing it. Weath who is also on the anti-bot and cheating team has said that AHK scripts are cheating. I haven't seen any comment on mouse keys otherwise from him though. Here's the twitter where Weath and Beno both mention that AHK scripts are against the rules https://twitter.com/Umdlye/status/402877492454621184
  7. So what about tablets that have touch screens? What about holding the button down for a predefined amount of time in order to move the mouse X pixels? Kind of like how mouse keys work out of the box? Unless they specifically say "press your num pad button X times for however many pixels you want to move the mouse cursor" Regular mice don't even work like that. that's a stupid stance for them to take. People use mousekeys/AHK because some skills like construction are incredibly clunky. They should work on fixing interfaces, not banning programs that make parts of the game playable. As far as they should be concerned, if there's a person actively sitting in front of the computer and all the actions are 1:1 (as it was previously defined, an action is moving the mouse or clicking), that should be a win. I don't have an issue with mouse keys in general. The programs though like AHK where it could automatically go to certain coordinates on the screen though are problematic. The precision that allows for over everyone else just using a mouse is an advantage.
  8. I believe so,his twitter account says "Anti Cheating specialist and scourge of the bots", so it sounds like he's at least in the same department.
  9. https://twitter.com/JagexWeath/status/402887567307440128 Weath and Beno confirmed it on twitter, but idk how highly you think of them

  11. Yea, just remember that thats probably delayed till next week.
  12. That might be the first emote in rs that I've seen that is completely worth every penny of the 3.6b
  13. There's a trope for that. Now I'm going to be trapped on that site for days...thanks >=(
  14. Now this would be bad. Buying a wand for 600m(or less) is unfair indeed. Are any wands actually stuck in g.e. through coinshare? I would think since their value is over the g.e. value that any that did get coinshared would be scooped up pretty quick.
  15. Posted this on reddit the other day but think it fits here to some degree. "My main issue is that most end-game stuff is being funneled into bosses instead of skills. Most skills don't have the risk factor, but then again neither do most bosses nowadays, you may fail but you won't lose your gear anymore (except to maybe a server outage). Would it be so hard to make tier 90 gear for skillers that might take a while and require high level untradeable drops, but is still available? PvM'ers could boss and do their thing to make money and skillers could skill. It might actually bring some money back to skilling.Find a 1/1000 gem from mining some high level ore (currently probably rune or addy depending how hard to obtain it you want, could change after smithing/mining rework.) Then find a 1/1000 log from elder trees, a 1/1000 pearl from fishing rocktails, etc. Using high smithing and crafting to create the gear. Altogether it would take a while but at least PvM wouldn't have a stranglehold on high level moneymaking." Just seems to be that Jagex wants to funnel everything into bossing in the end game when there are ways working with current mechanics to make skills useful. Skills could even be used to augment boss drops if thats what they wanted, but skills need to be made useful. Whatever way they do it, the main idea is that whatever it is cannot be made available through combat. You're right that combat drops make most skilling useless because you can earn more of that item from combat than from skilling in the same time period. Honestly, I'd prefer a complete overhaul with combat drops. Have all creatures have specific drops at certain percentages. Bones and ashes could stay 100%. Everything else gets removed. No more monsters dropping runes, ores, herbs, armours etc...anything that should be the product of a skill is gone from the table. Abyssal demons would drop ashes 100% and have a rare chance at dropping abyssal whip pieces. Gather all 6 pieces and smith them along with say 25 adamant bars for each piece attached to another (so 125 adamant bars total) to make a whip. Other creatures that don't have rare drops could drop a certain seed. Banshees could become ranarr seed droppers...no more ranarrs would come from drops, they'd actually have to be farmed, etc. The issue is that combat has really become a one-stop shop....you don't need skills to augment it anymore. I put up a suggestion with the idea a bit more fleshed out on forums but I doubt it will gain too much traction because there are a lot of pvm players and it would be a major adjustment. http://[Use Quick Find Code]/a=13/c=bxrNfKwRVzg/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?185,186,590,65212573
  16. Including weapons? Thats pretty impressive.
  17. So like 2 items created every drop then? Say 1 that goes onto g.e., and the 2nd thats broken completely into shards and divided? That could work but for most of these items I don't think they want to double the number created.
  18. if that's so, then barrows sets are going to skyrocket eh? Rise of the Six f.a.q. says they're dropping the energy per pet down to 250. Still pretty high but not as bad.
  19. Well stuff like spirit shields may have been an issue as well. The sigils seemed to be a lot more than the actual shields so I'm not sure the sigils sold. I'm also not sure how many godsword shards and hilts actually still sell.
  20. Mod Jack said on twitter that the con rework is no longer planned for this year. https://twitter.com/JagexJack/status/397365080594972672
  21. I said I found it annoying, which I did. Didn't say that I felt I had any right to stop you from doing so. I really only use the report button for phishers. Quitters probably aren't that big of a deal. Its a one time thing and if they really are quitting then I can't see them caring too much about getting banned for it. As such for the quitters I'd think Jagex actually would have to match the prices they're getting from gold farmers which I doubt Jagex would have any interest in doing. With gold buying players, they usually hope to keep their account and gain from buying gold, so I think bonds might be fine even without matching prices because you can't be banned or punished for it. I just don't see the rules having the same effect of quitters. Casinos in game I'm really fine with as long as Jagex sets the odds and acts as the House. I could see it as a decent gold sink since Jagex could set the odds better than players would reasonably want to and yet still remove gold from the game longterm. The problems I had in game with hosts was the hosts getting rich for no benefit to the game or economy, the massive spamming whenever I entered g.e. and although many hosts were legit the potential for scamming was way too high. An in-game casino with Jagex as house really wouldn't touch a nerve with any of the issues I had. I have to agree with others though that allowing players to sell bonds back for cash would reward the wrong type of gaming and allow people who run bots to make money directly from Jagex which could be an issue. Right now gp is useful for in-game goals but most won't make any money off it. Once its tied to a specific cost its just asking people to decide what items they want via real world cash even if they'd never buy bonds from Jagex. Do I want to buy this Armadyl Plate or do I want to buy a bond and cash it out to make some money. It really takes out most of whats left of the game aspect.
  22. Plus, if everything he wants to say is in his article, why bother repeating it all elsewhere? I may not agree with the guy, but that's a pretty fair use of a link. I don't mind all the link once the article is out, but it was kind of annoying pre-article with him posting just to say he's holding back his opinion so you'll read the article. If he wants to be in the discussion then he should post his opinion, but if he wants to wait until his article comes out so as not to spoil it then he doesn't need to post anything until the article comes out.
  23. I'd like more events where I can actually work more than 5-10 minutes a day. This on I was ok with it being so short because the lag would have made longer periods into hell but I think the daily amounts you could do was too low.
  24. Mod Jack said at the very least they'd credit you for the materials used on your current house if it couldn't survive the update.
  25. Except that Vorago takes 4x as long to kill as Nex does. Thus, drops may as well be 4x rarer. Yet there can be multiple fights of vorago on 1 world. But are there usually that many per world? I admit I don't really know but if few are going to vorago then it doesn't really matter how many can. And the reason why people aren't going to vorago is the LS/CS system. If/when this gets sorted, a lot more people will go to vorago. We'll see how it works out when they fix it this month. If it does get fixed and still not enough people vorago then they need to adjust the drop rate because the prices really are ridiculous.
