  1. We'll show them just how great the real runescape was! Everyone who can still access an rsc account, start training there, and we'll revive the wilderness!
  2. Jagex is trying to distart/bribe us from the real issues by releasing summoning at the same as updates that change the fundamental nature of the game. Face it: the runescape we started playing back in rs1 is dead. Requiem for Runescape [R]
  3. 1. ban all lvl 3's - most easiest solution and the cruelest but i bet 99% of rs wouldn't care. RIGHT ON!!! If its a genuine skiller, the person can just protest the ban. 2. make sure there is an visual code for creating an account. Why does Jagex NOT have captchas already? I know why - autoed members magic cutting and flax accounts. They get 5 USD per month from them. However, this is a great idea, and one which I have never heard someone suggest before for some reason. 3. create a wall on the start and on the end of the tutorial island, ask them to repeat a number you gave them, in the same way bank pin is done. Annoying but YES! Have it be a visual imagery code, like an in-game captcha. 4. make a few pmod / jmod teams that for 1 day scourge all the tree spots in f2p and perhaps even in p2p. say there that any lvl 3 that will not respond in 30 seconds will get banned instantaneously, this will make sure all real macroers get a perm ban + you will be able to find family names which then can be banned as well This wouldn't really work, because PMods are players and wouldn't have to do it and JMods are employees, so this would just cost Jagex money. Here's an idea: give all accounts over three years old the power to initiate unrestricted contact with anyone under combat level 10. (This means they cannot block a pm from you.) If they do not respond within 3 minutes, they are banned. Of course, this ban can be appealed so... Also, make it very obvious that there has been contact initiated, like a big red flashing message that says "Type THIS if you do not wish to be banned." 5. Limit amount of accounts to IP-adress to about 10, this will make sure family's have no chance of being created Macroes can also renew IPs. 6. make sure a certain IP-adress can make 1 account a week Same as above.
  4. Jagex is bribing us with summoning. They're trying to make us not notice how they are destroying the game by finally releasing something that we were promised back in RS1. RS died with Pest Control, I'm sorry.
  5. aaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnn
  6. I had mature conversations all the time... in rs1. Yes, I still call the current version rs2.
  7. This does not need to be changed whatsoever. To the previous comment about pures, I am primarily skill-oriented and am strongly against this. In the early days of the game, combat levels were hidden: they were added to give players a good idea of the danger of fighting another player. The combat level still essentially serves this purpose.
  8. It would not end RuneScape - most people DON'T belong to clans and many don't pk. I rarely do. It would, however, greatly change the game by chasing away many old players, something I lament greatly. The great days of pking were in RS1; the pkers who came over to the new version adapted to the new system. Over time, the Wilderness became just that: a wilderness, devoid of life. Very rarely is there any danger of being pked away from the Abyss and Mage Arena. This WOULD strike the final blow to the old days of RuneScape. Does this satisfactorily answer your question?
  9. To start off, luring takes talent... to find anyone stupid enough to fall for it. The only high level people with whips, as aforementioned, or other valuable items with the capability (or lack thereof) to fall for this sort of trick are those who bought the account - anyone who actually played long enough to get a whip honestly will not fall for luring. Secondly, any new player needs to learn the dangers (damn myself for even calling these things such) of the game: losing thirty gp worth of items is trifling even for a newb. Even the most inexperienced gamer can earn that amount smithing low-level items in twenty minutes at the most. Thirdly, this whole argument defies logic: it is a discussion about the moral issues involved in a system that defies morality: RS condones, at least in a digital, fantasy setting, theft, drinking, and murder. It doesn't matter that this is something any self-respecting game does, it is just that any video game is, for the most part, outside general codes of morality and in-game conduct should not be subject to the same laws of ethics that govern real life conduct. I'll add more when I think of some more. Why did the English languge create such an odd word as ninthly? It bugs me.
  10. wow I can see it now - "Third Grade MMORPG Player Arrested for Tax Evasion" DETROIT - A third grader was recently brought to trial under charges of tax evasion after the boy did not report his earnings after selling sixty thousand in-game lobsters. A spokesman from the IRS: "This sort of criminal act we cannot allow. This child is an example. Children: pay the tax or pay the time!" No more at this time.
  11. Amen, amen. What you said about the ingame bans was SO true. Someone on tip.it lost party hats and his daughters char because of supposed account selling. The only problem with removing censorship is that noobs would go around swearing all the time. (I can forsee terrible things in nonmembers Lumbridge). I dont mind someone swearing as some dragon owns them with a 52.
  12. I remember the boing hills... just not where they were Does anyone else remember the boing hills? And I HATE the poison increase
  13. last I looked, before construction, inflation was spiraling out of control Prices were soaring. The deflation brought by construction has helped the economy recover from the inflation. If Jagex put in a giant money drain like construction about every year and a half the economy would be just fine.
  14. as a matter of fact, higher level logs DO burn longer I ran a test. and, I don't know if u people have heard of burning PYRE LOGs, hmmm... the treasure you can get from Mortton
