Yeah, it is illegal to blow up a building for insurance, but I don't know the full story. I assume he used a loop hole of some sort, he knew what he was doing enough to build a new complex. Months of planning is equal to gutting the building. He didn't gut the building, he left everything where it sat. And gave Controlled Demolition Inc. a few hours to review the support structure of the building. After that it was just a matter of setting up explosives on the exterior supporting columns. The demolition wasn't perfect, there's even a fault line very visible. They had no idea he did it until he admitted it. They stressed that it was due to fire, and made themselves look like an idiot when he admitted to it. I agree %150. :D Viktorkrum77, the 9/11 Commision mentioned none of this why? Did you know Silverstein only got the lease six months before 9/11? Why would it be the first thing on Silversteins mind, right after a national crisis, to call in a demolition company and blow up one of his already damaged buildings? You say insurance reasons, and that there is "Probably" a loophole, back that up? There were no major newspaper stories on this why? It just doesn't make any sense at all. Besides, controlled demolitions take a long time to set up and be done. You should know this.

I was reffering to the list of facts I posted regarding the 9/11 Commision Reports Lies. They are facts, they support my position that the 9/11 commision report is full of lies. You claim to be educated on the difference between fact and opinion, media bias and hard truth. Please respond to at least a few of the facts in the link below? The PBS doc where Silverstein said "Pull it" was on on September 10, 2002. The 9/11 Commission closed on August 21, 2004. Shouldn't he have been invested for insurance fraud? How could he plan and set up the demolition of a tall building without months of planning? Why did the government make up false theories and propogate them when it was clear what had happened from the start? Hmm, belligerent blathering blatherskite alert. You obviously didn't read much of my original post, because the popular mechanics debunking article (which I have read in detail, several times) debunks only the wildest elements of the 9/11 truth movement, often is wrong anyway, and doesn't address most of the most pressing issues related to the attacks.

Don't worry, I won't. I think your rite about everything, especially after you went to all the trouble to actually read my posts. Seriously, leave this thread alone if you lack critical thinking skills, petulant child.

Is it possible the government controls who gets the .edu address ending and they don't want the scholars for truth getting one? None of this is the point. I posted those websites on request, because you wanted more information. The point here is the 9/11 COMMISSION REPORT AND THE LIES CONTAINED IN IT It is extremely telling that nobody can actually respond to the facts I have posted proving the official government report wrong, and only titter about details.

Maybe because you haven't looked at them yet. Youre poorly thought out and obviously slap-dash posts are beggining to take a toll on your own mental fortitude. If you don't trust a coalition of college professors long enough to read what they have to say, I think you need to rethink your attitude. Good job reading the content before responding. Excellent work on accusing the websites of being fake because the look real. And finally, congratulations on contributing absolutely nothing to this thread except an example of how skepticism of obvious facts can go on within America. He is one of the only people with the desire to educate people about what is going on in their country, it's rather hard work, you see. People don't like it when their expectations of government and reality don't fit.

I haven't exposed the truth; all I have done is exposed some lies. I do not know what happened on 9/11, and neither do you. The lies of the government I have exposed are many, and you have responded to none of them. It's not unlike a government to allow or stimulate events which bring the public around to supporting a war. For example, Pearl Harbour was largely preventable, we had already cracked the Japanese code and we had destroyed a Japanese midget submarine earlier the same day. Also, the Gulf of Tonkin resolution was passed after a completely fictional attack on the US navy by the north Viatnamese. Finally, in the 60's, the Pentagon planned a fake terrorist attack against the US to incite war with cuba. (read more, and more)

Wait, I just posted a list of factual errors in the government document which tried to fully explain how 9/11 happened and who did it, and all you can say is "But, my theory is a proven fact." Please learn to read books and research topics for yourself instead of repeating the party line. Baah? Please read the definition of conspiracy theory. And learn how to spell conspiracy, maybe, and kill two birds with one proverbial stone.

The US government claimed that Osama Bin Laden masterminded the terrorist attacks on 9/11 and the US authorities failed to stop him. This is a conspiracy theory. The 9/11 commision is so factually challenged that it hardly supports this theory, though it tries extremely hard. It got rid of or changed facts that didn't fit. The 9/11 commision report is full of lies. And Grim_Jokes, are you actually going to respond to my post? I would like very much to hear your opinion or any facts you can think of which might be relevant.

Just google it. What? Silversteins statement is completely at odds with the governments official version, and my point is, the 9/11 commision didn't report on this at all. So I don't fail, I win.

Wait a minute here, I haven't presented any alternate theories, I've just shown how the government conspiracy theory is false. Please read the topic before posting a response, as is the norm in internet communities? Yeah, a college professor of theology and philosophy of religion writing a book that alienates him from his colleaugues and ruins his future career prospects is really in it for the money. Ace observation.

The governments official story of what happened on 9/11 is full of holes. The 9/11 Commission Report ignores or changes facts which interfere with this theory, and is a blatant example of how far the government will go to cover up incompetence or purposeful negligence or at worst, planning and execution. I suggest anyone who wishes to be an informed individual reads the 9/11 Commission Report, and the excellent book by David Ray Griffin entitled The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions And Distortions, from which this information is distilled. Here are some of the worst errors.

The one click-system as well as the smith-x and cook-all options made getting some items alot easier, so for the sake of balance power training had to be removed (though actually it happened in the opposite order chronologically). And also, it's not really emergent gameplay to power-fish or power-mine, because it was an intended feature. -

Several skills were upgraded so you only needed to click once to fill your inventory, so power training was made somewhat obselete. On the other hand, I haven't mined a single rock in Runescape since they removed Soft Rocks. I loved those rocks. -

There are a plethora of player created dynamics within Runescape that are well supported or at least tolerated by Jagex and it's right to say that Jagex does much to accommodate its players and embrace their style of play. However, some emergent gameplay opportunities have been abandoned and others only exist for lack of Jagex fleshing out the world appropriately. The switch from crisp 2D sprites to blocky 3D models in Runescape 3D never bothered me as much as the imprecise implentation of the combat system, which feels alot like the girl next door wearing fishnets; unnatural and forced. The 'by the numbers' 'click and watch' combat system that worked so well in Runescape simply wasn't made for a real time 3D world, and though the dynamics have been severely altered, the gameplay experience and controls were not changed, resulting in a kind of Frankenstein monster. Help! I'm an awesome classic MUD stuck inside a harsh 3D world! Combined with the super-effectiveness of armour and the strategy-free multi-combat zones, the Runescape3D wilderness is tame and unable to support compelling new playerkilling strategies, not because the opportunity for innovation isn't there, but the reward for innovation is sapped by lack of solid design. There are many examples of player created gameplay emerging only because there is no real way to get things done otherwise. Gameplay that is not particularly creative, but simply aggravating. For example, training the ranged skill involves trapping enemies behind objects, where you slowly shoot them to death while they stand there emotionless (in Runescape 3D, the monsters flinch), and the marketplace in varrok is a nest for scammers and spammers, but there's nowhere else to go. However, like the rarity of party hats, it's doubtful whether the range training dynamic was overseen by Jagex. The lack of any monster AI to faciliate archery is only admissable if the game doesn't require us to care about NPCs. This worked great in Runescape Classic where all the quests were frivolous or at least didn't take themselves seriously. I would be much more willing to believe that the RSC combat system was somehow "Fixed" and made more balanced, if it ever was. But the truth is that all classes had a chance to suceed in Runescape classic, mages, strength pures, well-rounded melee, rangers, all suceeeded at different levels, and the combat system was never significantly changed. And though pure melee characters were the best overall, the scimitar is the overall best weapon in Runescape 3D, and I hope that doesn't mean it's going to be crippled in the next version of Runescape? There should be a strong distinction between emergent gameplay that helps the game become a more interesting and fun place to be, and emergent gameplay that leeches that fun away. Jagex is of course the ultimate arbiter of what hijinks us mortals are allowed once we pass through the sacred gates of Lloigh-enn, though we are allowed to yodel and bring our cell phones, as well as firearms if necessary. Everyone likes to have fun, but there is a fine line between baiting people to do the wrong thing and giving them a free world to explore. Pure characters weren't banned in RSC, but now everyone (ok, almost everyone) is banned from Runescape Classic, as you call it. Why? Too many cheaters. Also, players like me missed the boat to pay 5$, and got no second chance. Yet why doesn't Jagex release the Runescape classic source? The players who want the sourcecode (and already have a slightly obfuscated version) are more than capable of setting up their own server with adequate cheating protection and running the game as it was intended, and they want to. The worst possible thing that could happen, random private servers with no relation to the original game spawning up, has already happened with minimal impact to Runescape3D. Wouldn't it be better to release the official source of Runescape Classic and let it flourish in its old age? Is it too much to ask for release of the Runescape sourcecode to the community that has loved and supported it for so many years? It's an extremely old game, which could be revived by modifications and community support. -

I'm sorry my opinion has to come into the matter, but it must. I truly believe that Jagex threw away a huge amount of player invested time and effort by shutting down RSC, and destroyed one of the greatest examples of emergent gameplay in video game history. I don't dislike Runescape2, I understand it's a completely different game that appeals to a much wider audience, but there is no comparing player killing in Runescape 2 to player killing in RSC. The world of Runescape Classic was forged by Andrew Gower and the players themselves, the world of RS2 was created by Andrew Gower and a corporate machine who had to guarantee that it made a large amount of money. The opportunity to manipulate the game world and have an impact on its future is still there, but it grows smaller every day.

I admit I am biased. I spent alot of time playing RSC. Yet I am not angry at Jagex for wanting to create a more balanced, accesible, and attractive game; rather I'm still a bit upset that they decided to shut down Runescape Classic, a game where players had the opportunity to shape the game world around them in so many more ways than they can in RS2.

Emergent gameplay is when players manipulate gaming software in ways the original creator had not forseen or intended. For example, in Quake the rocket launcher does a great deal of damage, blasting enemies across the map. Clever players learned to rocket jump; by shooting a rocket at their feet they could propel themselves great distances (though injuring themselves significantly in the process). Discovering emergent gameplay is quite possibly the most fun you can have in a game. Some games rely heavily on players to create their own innovations, for example Deus Ex, a shooter game which you could beat without ever killing an enemy if you had the creativity. In other games, like Quake, it happens quite by accident. MMORPGs are a genre overflowing with emergent gameplay. It is important to realize that Runescape is not like many MMORPGs, in that it was originally a small project run by one (later two) people, and the gameplay was tweaked over a time in reaction to players ideas and requests. The world of Runescape made no attempt to mimic a working fantasy world. You can kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in plain view of a guard, monsters drop relatively random items and reapper a few seconds after you kill them, and (most importantly) in Runescape nobody had knees. However, Runescape originally embraced the unreality of it's setting, featuring unpredictable and often humurous quests and NPCs who admit that Runescape is, in fact, a video game. Interestingly enough, the lack of a developed setting allowed emergent gameplay to flourish. A great example of this is the Wilderness, and PVP in general. Players quickly realized that in the new Wilderness area their combat level mattered above anything else, and they quickly sought ways to keep their combat level down, such as giving up magic. Very soon clever players began creating new characters who didn't use magic at all, and soon enough players began giving up defence as well. People realized that with attack and strength alone they were better than players with attack, strength, defence, prayer, and magic, of the same combat level. Pure characters dominated the wilderness. Low level magic pures, prayer beasts, and other classes, completely player created, emerged. In Runescape 2, Jagex modified the combat system to make it more "Balanced". They destroyed some of the most amazing emergent gameplay the world has ever seen when they shut down Runescape Classic shortly after RS2s release, because the "Balance" comes at the cost of creativity. The truth is that nobody could have predicted how the combat system of Runescape Classic evolved, Jagex did not forsee how pures would work and how Player Killing with a capable Pure character would become such a huge part of RSC, and quite possibly fuel it's success. Yet the hard work of creative gamers has been thrown away, giving way to the muddlesome, inexact, and utterly noob friendly RS2 Wilderness. The wilderness continues to evolve, even in the bland world of RS2. Combat styles are used in combination with eachother, players quickswitch weapons when their opponent is at low health for the killing blow, and new types of pures such as a divine mage are now possible. Hopefully somebody will come up with something new, before Jagex decides it's "Unfair" to pwn.

Tip.It should stop showing ads such as these, which undermine real gamers and promote cheating. I know IGE does not sell Runescape gold. It doesn't matter. All MMORPGamers hate autoers and farmers who get no joy from playing, and leech that joy from real players. So why does tip.it advertise them on their site? Edit: Because they don't care?

The idea is awesome, yet several factors make it unlikely Jagex would ever create a system like this, let alone implement it. -
Oh I find plenty to amuse myself mathematically just by figuring out simple things for training, like the number of runes you need for a certain magic level, the end hp level of a pure at the end of training, etc.
