  1. Christians believe not only that the bible is the divinely inspired word of god, but that people learned to write through gods grace and mercy. Sometimes he gets pissed at our stupidity. Like when we built the tower of babel, he punished us by splitting us into people of different languages. I wonder what god thinks about the internet, the massive connectivity of the world today? Probably nothing. God doesn't think, he's omnipotent, he exists in all time and space. So Christianity is as self-defeating as nhilism, only less sexy.
  2. For real. Which is why I'm a Taoist. Us Taoists have it good. Religion, without stupidity. Nature makes more sense than humans anyway.
  3. These laws made sense when and where the religion was founded. Just as not commiting adultery made sense when Christianity was created, to avoid broken families. The condum makes it obselete to wait untill you are married to have sex, just as universal education makes it obselete to oppress women.
  4. What did you think about giving up music for your religion, and other sacrifices the author made? Music is a huge part of my soul. I don't know any muslims who don't listen to music, so I guess I don't know any terrorists. What's your school like? Is it a boarding school?
  5. The real issue here is why your school is making you read an article associating radical Islam with the 9/11 attacks. Like Diem in Vietnam or Batista in Cuba, the US can pick and choose who they want to be the good guys. Think about for all the US support of Saudia Arabia, who fund terrorists as much as any Islamic middle eastern nation. The reality is that radical religious war is carried out as much by Israel as by muslims. Just because you use a warplane and a laser guided bomb to kill civilians, doesn't mean your not killing civilians.
  6. Sugar is not extremely dangerous, but it is more addictive and more of a gateway drug than marijuana is. http://politics.netscape.com/story/2006 ... comments/4 Sugar abuse is actually more dangerous to your health than marijuana abuse, and it's completely different. Take a step back and think "How have people I know been hurt by using marijuana?" Then think "How have people I know been hurt by the governments policy on marijuana?" If you say, "Would there were no wine" because of the drunkards, then you must say, going on by degrees, "Would there were no steel," because of the murderers, "Would there were no night," because of the thieves, "Would there were no light," because of the informers, and "Would there were no women," because of adultery. -- St. John Chrysostom, "Homilies," circa 388 Abusus non tollit usum. [Abuse is no argument against proper use.] -- Latin proverb The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools. -- Herbert Spencer Those, who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. -- Ben Franklin Crime is contagious....if the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for the law. -- Justice Louis Brandeis (thanks, http://www.marijuanalibrary.org/quotes.html)
  7. I'm sorry If I derailed your thread. The article made me angry for quite a few reasons which I've explained. I tried to fulfill the stated purpose of the thread: My interpretation is that it is a propaganda piece, and hence that is why you must read it for school. I wasn't trying to burn you or derail your thread.
  8. This is how I feel right now.
  9. The fact is, he was working for terrorists, and to do so without realizing it makes him an idiot. The idea that he was somehow conned into becoming a radical muslim goes against the evidence he presents. Nobody breaks his Jimmy Hendrix tape except himself. Nobody forces him into fundamentalism. This guy was either an FBI informant from the start, or he has a special form of intelligence that prevents him from using critical thinking in non-academic situations. Either way, the article is grade A freshly harvested cabbage.
  10. Uh...Did you read the article?

I assume if they didn't they would have said "Unsure" Zogby is one of the most trusted polling institutions in the world, do a little research and you would know that. I also named Zogby several times as the pollsters. http://www.zogby.com/search/ReadNews.dbm?ID=855 http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=11269 Random but important: Today I was talking to a soldier who just got back from Iraq. I asked him what he thought about 9/11, and he said nobody he knew over there believed the war was about 9/11 or weapons of mass destruction. "I've had some clearance, I've worked with special forces guys. Nobody believes that [cabbage]."
  12. I stopped reading at the first sentence. "Before I was an FBI informant." The FBI is one of the most corrupt and evil institutions in the world, the private police force of the Attorney General, they are responsible in a large part for the corrupt and pointless war on drugs. The war on drugs is just like prohibition of alcohol, there is no way to succeed. Addiction should be treated as a sickness, not a crime. Also, informants suck. Everybody hates a rat, regardless of their affiliation. I started reading the article again, but it's all just [cabbage]. Yeah. Real shocking. It's not like Christian leaders run hate filled campaigns against homosexuality. This is how the article closes. Did I spoil it for you? It doesn't matter. Radical muslims did not knock down the twin towers or hit the pentagon without assistance from the US government. Or maybe the US government couldn't knock down the towers or hit the pentagon without assistance from the radical muslims. The government has certainly proven it's willing to fake terrorists attacks to get public opinion behind a war. This article is fundamentally flawed. The author asks us to take a rather dim view of his own intelligence in parsing the obvious fact he was working with terrorists, and his quest for religious truth is more pedestrian and unexplained than I would think possible for somebody writing an article, even for readers digest.

To find the truth. If you can explain to me why WTC7 fell, then maybe I'll understand your point of view. It won't please everyone, but when a large % of Americans want another investigation, it's the duty of our elected representatives to fulfill our expectations of truth in a democracy. That's simply not true. What investigation(s) after the 9/11 Commission are you reffering to? NIST's findings, as I have reported here, are few and mostly suspect. If you read their report on WTC7 and look at the damage to the building, then you will realize it is criminal for the government not to investigate its collapse. Where is the news media on reporting about the millions of America who believe the government consciously failed to act on 9/11? Why wasn't that Zogby poll reported extensively throughout the news media?
  14. Wrong. Debate is what it is. Bickering is a word people use for a debate they don't want to be involved in. The problem in this thread is that people are repeating facts which aren't true, ideas which are founded upon these facts, and concluding falsely that those who do not agree are not aware of the facts. Those who have life experience of the subject matter at hand or post sources indicating that the government sponsored "Facts" are propaganda, are mostly ignored. Pot is basically safe. It can be used irresponsibly, like caffeine, sugar, cigarettes, or alcohol, but the substance itself is rather benign. In fact, it's safer than caffeine, sugar, cigarettes, or alcohol. "Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man." Francis L. Young Administrative Law Judge of the US drug police DEA
  15. Are you really a ganguro girl? I thought about it once, but the sex-change alone drove it out of my budget.

Could you have thought this out less?
  17. pault replied to pault's topic in Off-Topic
No, but I believe much of the evidence it presents. The conclusions I draw are my own. ~Somebody had foreknowledge of 9/11 ~Somebody made billions of dollars by investing in put options ~The 9/11 commission did not sufficiently investigate We need a new investigation. Is it rubbish to think that?

Note:Why double post? I made a new thread about American public opinion of 9/11, related but seperate of the issue of the 9/11 Commissions lies, and it was locked. Zogby Poll: Over 70 Million American Adults Support New 9/11 Investigation http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php? ... cleId=2502 Note: Zogby is widely known as the most reliable polling instution. The inability of the US television or print media to acknowledge the relevance of the 9/11 truth movements message is amazing. The 9/11 Commission Report did not answer the major questions about 9/11. For those of you who wonder if the 9/11 truth movement should exist, whether it's claims of a massive government attempt to hide the truth are legit, read on. Eat less. Drink more water. Push yourself through the point where you don't have energy, and come out the other side stronger. Take more vitamin B. There is great snack food that will also help you build muscle mass, for example beef jerky. Drink more water. I would give up trying to look like someone (anyone) and just try improve who you are. You get out of exercise what you put into it. Eat more meat, drink more water. Eat nothing that is oily.

  21. The question is, should we speed up the process by directly reusing waste water? I say yes, if we have the technology, which we probably do. Climate change experts belive billions will die due to water shortages as the earth heats up, most likely within the next hundred years. Why not prepare?
  22. pault replied to wakka102's topic in Off-Topic
Everyone is different. Why don't you just work out more and eat more meat? You don't need to drink protein shakes or creatine.
  23. Oh, for goodness sake! Did I say that people were 'unaware of sexual intercourse'? I am merely pointing out that there are children on this forum who don't need to hear of your exploits. I didn't go into detail, but if you want I can describe the pancakes. Usually I use alot of Rum Extract and Almond Extract and any extract I can find with a high % of alcohol. That makes the pancakes delicious and inebriating. Besides, the afterglow experienced after sex is one of the most mind clearing and relaxing things ever. To not mention it would be criminal.
