Holland might consider the thefts of virtual goods (aka your stuff in the bank of RS) a punishable crime. Notice that the crime took place during the area where it was still possible to trade everything you have ALL in one go. Check this post for more information as it is released. A sidenote though: while this kind of thing is now next to impossible in RS, "virtual goods" is somethign that affects not just RS players, but everyone in other like-minded games and even outside of games. If this becomes a serious issue, it could go as high as the EU's court of justice, turning it quickly into a global matter (not this particular case, but wether or not virtual goods are considered real enough to be punished for if you stole it).... UPDATE: The suspects have been punished for the specific crime of stealing virtual goods. A giant leap forward according to experts. Wow, that has to be the grimmest description of the MSSW out there... I doubt you'll find more trashtalking on the sites that have LOST the war... Not at all accurate if you ask me... There was ABSOLUTELY no cheating going on by Tip.it, only by individuals, usually a bunch of hate-mongerers who love to see us fighting with our selves and then hate on eachother... And as the old saying goes: no pic no proof... The fact that you claim we cheated as someone who is supposed to write semi-officially for Tip.it sends out the wrongest of messages to newcomers... A few mistakes were made though: DBZ left way too early and failed to mention it as Leader to the Generals (Stormrage for president next time around btw), a bunch of THE clan couldnt control themselves, and I made the mistake of telling people in my guide post that any green cape would do; something I tried to tell everyone in edgeville on the day itself that it wouldnt and that team39 was probably your most valued item in that war... You fail to mention, however, that BY FAR the biggest turn-off for this event is the complete lack of opposition... That trumphs even the largest ammount of bored BS-ers, and the fact that Tip.it is inexperienced in wars shows exactly that... People are used to coordinated events, but where there are 600+ people to manage, there are bound to be a few rotten apples in there trying to spoil the whole load... This is no fault of anyone other then those bad apples... Now the next time you choose to quote ONLY the negative parts of the replies, be sure to remind yourself that Fox news has a job for you...

Well said, DarthNovi... Yeah getting out of Edgeville bank relativly unscathed took me 3 tries :P In the last attempt I just made a dash for it, I hope I didnt leave anyone behind :)

Syrup (maple) is already on there, trust me when I say that evergreen sap isnt edible... As for the complexity; tuna potatoes require butter for example, or farming if your own sweetcorn (granted, both can be bought), but the complexity has to reflect that it heals 24 hitpoints...

Knowing a bit about clans myself, I can see where this comes from, but that doesn't exactly justify it... Even then, you should always leave the leaders alone, as they are the ones keeping the whole unorganised mass together... I thank you all for the compliments, but TBH, in this war I was nothing more then a rally point. I didnt need to give orders. I just went where troops were needed, as I doubt I had at any time less then 80 people following me. When the enemy was spotted, it got swarmed, end of story :) Whether this was due to the ammount of people that read the instructions post or not, I certainly hope it was :) Still, I expected a lot more of a fight... Ok guys, it might not have been obvious, but... Well, we won :P If you're wondering who I am, I was the ONLY guy in the war who didnt wear Iron, Steel, or Rune... I was the guy in Full White with the pretty horsey on his Kiteshield... I was a bit worried at the start that we might have been crashed already in Edgeville, but luckily that didn't happen... Fortunately for us, someone wearing steel armor can still wield a sword as sharp as the next guy in full rune... Anywho, down to business... I logged on right on time to find an all but filled to the rim CC, so much even that I had to direct people constantly PM-ing me to Mario Sunny's CC... Handed out a whole bunch of supplies (I sold about 530k worth of supplies) and even saw people dropping capes all over the place for others... Nice work with the preparation! Then it crept ever closer to the time to leave which was somewhat disorganised... Smeone even claimed that I wouldnt make it out of Edgeville bank alive wearing nothing but White armor... I was for all it mattered, completely unarmored, and with my colors on I just stood out screaming "Over here! Kill me!"... So when I got a whole bunch of people to fall in on me I made a quick dash for the wilderness... Dbz and a few other fall-in groups were already ahead, and I'm quite sure I wasnt the last to leave either (seriously, who DID pick up the stragglers?)... The people that were attacking me continued to do that even after we passed Bounty Hunter, and after a few sharp turns to an unexpected side, the ones attacking me were visible enough to be killed... Those guys who kept me supplied with food; THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! We made it safely to the Ancient ruined castle, and only a handfull of non-tipit people made it that far... I must apologise to those that did not grasp the importance of the 39 teamcape... I know I said that any green cape would do, but I underestimated the tenacity of some people... :oops: I hope that, even if you got killed by a few Tip.iters, there are no hard feelings... What the teamcape made possible was a HUGE advantage for us. Friends appeared green, Teamcapes appeared blue, and those in the CC with you appeared purple... Anyone not falling in the category of these 3 showed up white on the minimap and was thusly VERY easy to single out and destroy... All in all it was still pretty chaotic as quite a few backstabbers wore the tipit cape too... But the most beautiful example of how this fight went on was when I walked with about 120 or so people at my back westward from the Greater Demons and encountered Pure Community... I did not even have to give an order, and people swarmed out at their group. People seemed to target our enemies at random, but within 2 minutes there was no sign of anyone wearing a black cape anymore, and I highly doubt if we lost anyone... Odd though that a whole bunch of RUNES littered the ground after tha slaughter, did PC plan on binding? That was about the most resistance we encountered. I was warned not to go further south into single zone (remember, I'm still wearing that bulls-eye white stuff), but I did it anyway after gathering a bunch more people at my back at the ancient castle... We walked south and a small group of blue capes were very carefull not to stray into Single zone, but against an overhwleming force, instructed to target those that they could kill on their own, and then there were three... I have to be honest with you, and this is quite dissapointing... I have not even SEEN an orange cape, red cape, yellow cape or purple cape organised with steel, and I quite surely stayed 95% of the time I was in the wilderness at the frontlines... The only cape I saw somewhat organised was teamcape 7, but I dont even know what site they belonged to... I was told that there were some clans coming to crash at members gate, but when I arrived there, only 1 guy was left... And even at the single combat zone to the south there were only 3 people left that werent Tip.it... Shortly after I said "Lets go get everyone and go home, we've won" I was finally attacked by some obvious non-tipiters and killed... I'll be copying cool pictures or cool youtubes in this post, so IF you want yours to be featured here, post it in this thread :D A final word of thanks though to: The Tip.it Staff, who gave me INCREDIBLE leniency allowing me to post a guide, a Tip.it Times article, a warning of the changes and this Aftermath thread. And thanks to them for posting messages about the war on the main Tip.it page... The other fansites, without them there wouldnt be a war at all (oh wait!)... The leader and generals, our services werent much needed to organise our troops in battle, but marching the troops in the wild was fun :) The Suppliers, without you, many people wouldnt have the proper gear, and maybe not even the proper cape either to effectivly fight in this war... The Clans, who helped organise and fight side by side the whole thing, also thanks for the feedback (you know who you are)... And finally, everyone else of the 600 man strong army that we guesstimated the total Tip.it force at... Not as strong as last year, but then again, the enemy was much much weaker... More importantly, we DID fill up the server, and some other sites that prepared on another world were unable to log in because of that (serves you right, you weaklings)... And a final comment for people "getting killed by their own team"... The lionshare of Tip.it is largely inexperienced in wars, but in the old days of the wilderness, this kind of backstabbing is commonplace, and I can GUARANTEE you right now that the rants section of every forum will fill up with them in the near future... In a war this large where 98% of the people dont know one another, you do not wish to be the odd one out... But even then, these kind of "mistakes" are seldom that, and are a deliberate attempt of malicious forces (clans, other sites, usually something organised) to weaken us from the inside out... Every time people fall victim to it, and everytime people are angry about it, but there is nothing you can do about it... Take it as a compliment; they are afraid to face us head-on... If it sooths you, know that I too was killed in the end by people wearing our teamcape... I wish I wasn't, because I wouldve LOVED to help you guys owning world 62 like you did... Seriously, cleaning out Varrock, Falador AND Al Kharid? Knowing that most people logged off after the war, this is quite a feat :) Keep checking back here for the coolest of pictures and youtubes!!!

On the day itself, a few people will probably discover this for themselves that they are teleported to Lumbridge... I'll see if I can arrange some escorts, so people can leave in the safety of groups... Remember your HYT's!!!

As of this week, Jagex has blessed us with the opportunity to make Tip.it not only win the last great war of the old wilderness, but also to win the first war of the NEW wilderness... Dustin, the event leader has made some changes to the event in order to reflect this... So, ALL READ THIS (and tell your friends and tell them to tell their friends), because this is what you need to know: - World is now 62 rather then 61 - We fight in the ruined castle in the far north east of the Wilderness (the scene of the last one), rather then the Clanwars Arena - You can wield ANY F2P Weapon, this includes Corrupt Dragon (but bring spare rune weapon, as Corrupt Dragon only lasts 30 minutes) - You can now kill people pretty much anywhere within 10% of your F2P combat level + 5 additional levels -> Level 70 can kill level 58 in Edgevile If you get attacked, running into a safezone is not always going to save you! it takes 10 seconds before the enemy can no longer attack you! That is the time that we HAVE to be inside the free for all arena (dangerous) But you are requested ATLEAST 90 minutes before that at Edgeville on the same world, and not to log out once you are online, so you keep your spot on the server... While there you can help distribute capes, food, sell armour and weapons, and even help with getting people sorted into the proper clanchats...

Well you nailed it on the head... This is exactly what I was trying to accomplish :) Go get them rounded up, a few clans are wanting to make an impression already by handing out a lot of stuff to other people for the MSSW... I personally have about 20 sets of steel to give away, but food and strength amulets are also cheap to hand out... Or what about Team Capes :D

Bini; you're 100% right on why RSC isnt participating, but 0% on the tournament format... It IS a massive war... And we meet at Edgeville... But anyone wearing a Team37 cape will probably be able to tell you :)

Actually, No I dont mind seeing it crashed... Just another side added into the mix in my opinion... Dressed in Rune, Casting Blasts and Binds... uhoh :P

Tal Shiar Alliance is hosting in combination with a few other clans an UNOFFICIAL practice run for everyone to get a feeling for the arena, testing out their equipment and own tactical ideas, or simply following along for the fun... EVERYONE is welcome to come, and several other clans have committed to this as well... The idea is to do EVERYTHING the same as the real MSSW, except we do this in the SAFE arena... Yes we gather up in Edgeville, yes we wear full steel with a scimmie, yes you can invite friends, and yes you are encouraged to create a "group" of your own... My own clan will split up in 2 or 3 sides, and we will not base this on the color of the cape, but on the ACTUAL teamcape (so one green teamcape thats a different number from another will kill eachother)... Clans or other people willing to "host" their own group should see if it is neccisary for them to split as well, but bring as many of your own teamcape as you possibly can... Another final difference; Zombie-ing (returning after you have been killed) is allowed here, as we have not the goal to determine a winner, but rather to drag this out as long as possible, so people can learn as much as they can during this... I hope that many sides will come, and that many people will learn something from this... Even if this means switching callers to someone else in the ClanChat because the General in question has been taken out... The Generals will be prepared for any eventuality... Hi, misterxman :D Yeah, its pretty sad what happened at RSC... RSC has been slipping a long while now... Pure Community is reaping from it :) Still, some strong RSC supporters may still show up, even though their faith is shaken to its foundation... Apparently its about money... W13 (Zybez/RSC owner) thinks that this is a battle for the people to join a particular fansite... And more over, money (due to adviews)... I wonder how NOT participating is helping RSC do anything other then make themselves look rediculous...
