  1. I got David Bowie's DVD for his Reality tour today.
  2. Green Day were popular then, yes, but with American Idiot, they've become a fad. Oh, by the way, some interesting trivia ... Linkin Park used to be called Hyrbid Theory. In 98 or 99, they changed their name to Linkin Park. Guess what other nu-metal band was incredibly popular at that time, but is now the laughing stock of the music industry? I shouldn't have to tell you, but it's Limp Bizkit. Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. Talk about a marketing tactic.
  3. What I hate is the comparison to stealing. Just because you download music, doesn't mean you were definitely going to buy it. It's not taking away from retailers, it's not taking away from artists, unless you were absolutely positively intending to buy it. I download lots of music and music videos. The videos often aren't available anywhere else. Downloading music has caused me to spend MORE money on music, as I get to sample bands I wouldn't otherwise have heard of. New Order, Queens Of The Stone Age, Jane's Addiction, Team Sleep, Jerk, The Cure, Muse and Nirvana; I own material legally by all these artists, and how did I first hear them? By downloading their stuff on Limewire. There are countless CD's I also intend to buy at the moment, because I have sampled their stuff by downloading it illegally and now I want to own it and give them the money they deserve. So you know what? [bleep] the RIAA. [bleep] their double standards. [bleep] their wasteful spending. [bleep] their incompetence. [bleep] their speculation. And most of all, [bleep] their idiocy.
  4. You were flaming, or at least accusing him beforehand, with the witchhunt comment.
  5. What if they didn't believe in a god, but were nice and didn't hurt/kill/steal?
  6. I cannot for the life of me understand sheet music for guitar. I use Powertab, which display both the tabs and traditional form ... the latter confuses me beyond comprehension.
  7. No matter what, Jagex aren't going to be able to please everyone. This is even applicable moreso in Runescape, because there are so many immature, pre-pubescant prats who'll complain over the slightest change and never look at things objectively.
  8. Just got back. Pretty awesome. Didn't top the APC show I saw last year, but good nonetheless. Shirley looked stunning. Fishnets, tank-top and very short skirt. I was three rows from the front. This was their last show on the tour so they dragged it out for a while with all the thank yous and whatnot. The setlist was quite good, although I didn't get to hear Run Baby Run. She made eye contact with me at least once, possibly twice. She also handed out champagne to a few people. I almost managed to grab the guitarist's pick (forgot his name), but it went to the guy in front of me. Songs I remember ... Queer Boys Wanna Fight Vow [order from here gets sketchy] Why Do You Love Me Sex Is Not The Enemy Number 1 Crush Metal Heart Right Between The Eyes Stupid Girl I Think I'm Paranoid Push It (a bunch of others but I cannot remember right now) Encore: Bleed Like Me (something) When I Grow Up All in all, I'm quite satisfied.
  9. You're good at nonsensical arguments, stupid ideas and choking on your own words.
  10. Umm those bands came to play in Sydney (and most probably in Perth too) in the past year or two. Why didn't you see NIN, they were here only a month ago? They did two shows in Sydney, one in Brisbane and one in Melbourne. My brother flew over and saw the first Sydney show but I didn't have the money. The only time they played Perth was at BDO 2000, and I was only 10 then so even if I knew of NIN back then, I wouldn't be able to get in.
  11. Haha, idiot. To the original poster: If you want a good band, try The Clash. Preview some of their songs on amazon. I just consider them all to be part of the pop-punk-revival movement. Which as far as I'm concerned is all in vane.
  12. Green Day and Good Charlotte are pop punk and should never be put in the same group as Blink 182.. yeah cause Green Day is way better than Blink 182.. Haha. Yes, Green Day formed in 1989, Blink (now called Blink 182) formed in 1991, yes Green Day have been around so much longer. I can name 150 amazing Blink 182 songs, yet I can't seem to name two good Green Day songs and I own all their albums... All three bands are as poppy as each other.
  13. I appreciate what you're doing and understand that it's interesting and quite exciting ... but I kind of find aspects of this redundant. By all means, enjoy yourself, but I doubt you'll have much luck finding any clues. Jagex's future updates regarding quests and quest series are not necessarily set in stone, so you could easily be mislead, or just purely speculating to something that is subject to change.
  14. Bumpedy bump ... Come on now, you people must have some stories to tell. How many great tours have their been this year alone? NIN, Manson, Team Sleep, Mudvayne, Queens of the Stone Age, New Order, Mindless Self-Indulgence, Static-X, Fear Factory, Audioslave, System Of A Down ... anyone!?

  16. They try pretty damn hard. What would you suggest they do? And how exactly did you get scammed? Don't be so vague.

    Live

Being that I'm an avid music fan/player, I've decided to create another thread related to music. This one is about who you've seen live and, if you wish; when, where, stuff they played, crowd, opening band(s), pros and cons etc. I saw A Perfect Circle at the Robinson Pavillion (5k capacity hall) in Perth last year in March or April. It was my first official concert, and boy was it awesome. Although we had to wait for two hours in the hall amongst hundreds of other sweaty people because there was no opening band, it was indeed awesome. I cannot remember the setlist in order, but I know it contained the following: (definitely first) Vanishing (extended live version) [dunno the order from here] The Hollow Magdalena Rose Orestes 3 Libras The Package Weak and Powerless Blue The Nurse Who Loved Me Pet Thomas Thinking Of You (know the rest) The Outsider [encore] The Noose Judith I think they played one or two others. There was also at least one weird one minute performance from just James Iha, in addition to Maynard singing something about "Freddy's got the flaps". Maynard was looking weird as always. At the start he was behind this shadowy screen and it looked pretty cool. He took his shirt off and ugh ... he has an ugly ugly body. But I guess being the freak he is it wouldn't make sense for him to have a six-pack and nice pecks. During the show this guy who was probably on lots o' drugs climbed up a pole in the middle of the hall. Maynard being the tight-[wagon] he is stopped the show. Everyone thought they were going to go off-stage because they're really really petty about smoking during the concert, photos and whatnot. So the guy was on top of this pole and everyone was chanting "get the [bleep] down" and eventually Maynard joined in. I can imagine that as an awesome track on the live CD/DVD. Anyhoo, by the end of the show he had climbed all the way to the scaffolding above the stage and was literally above Maynard. Dunno what happened to him afterwards but I'm guessing he was beaten severely. This upcoming Saturday I am going to a Garbage concert which could possibly be their last concert ever. I'm also going for free; a friend who happens to like me invited me. So that's my concert experience. What about yours eh? Oh, and while they are still around, I must see the following on-stage: Nine Inch Nails Marilyn Manson Deftones Tool David Bowie The Cure Muse The rest either won't be around for much longer or will never come to my location.
  18. Extreme yo-yo! Don't try this at home, kids!
  19. Well considering everyone's doing huge lists, I'll conform. 20. ^^^ Just to clarify, I wasn't in any way saying that was the case. If people are that easily influenced, it's their own damned fault. I was merely asking if perhaps some of the religious-related dialogue and whatnot in the game is an expression of the views of some of Jagex's staff. Influence isn't directly caused by expression; it's based on how people interpret that experession.
  21. I know this is going to make me seem fascist but ... could we please limit this thread to music you've obtained legally? By that I mean, someone has bought it for you, you've bought the CD, or you've downloaded it legally? Otherwise this thread is going to have way too many pages ... Thanks in advance.
  22. This is a thread to list what new CD's you have bought recently, and to comment on/recommend them etc. Queens Of The Stone Age - Rated R [already downloaded some of it, heard it was there best album, damn good so far] Queens Of The Stone Age - Little Sister [disappointing remix] Sisters of Mercy - First And Last And Always [for a friend] Type O Negative - World Coming Down [for another friend] Team Sleep - Team Sleep [already downloaded it completely so decided to buy it and give them what they deserve] Jerk - When Pure Is Defiled [already downloaded it completely so decided to buy it and give them what they deserve]
  23. Not much of an injury as such, but I lit my pubic hair on fire a few times and showed my parents.
  24. Sorry to hear about your problems. Has he always been like this?
  25. Today was this festival day thing at school to raise money. There was this event called the horizontal bungee. You're tied to one end of this bouncy castle thing, and you have to run as far as you can and then place this thing onto a velcro strap, and you compete against someone else. I lost to my friend all four times, and often after I had placed the thing on the velcro strap, I was pulled backwards very sharply and rolled. Twice I landed straight on my head as I bounced. I had a headache and now have several bruises and grazes. I think I finally attained negative dignity. Oh, and last year, during jewellery, I was buffing my ring on the buffer thing (this fluffy thing attached to a rod, used to clean jewellery). My apron was untied and my friend put the string of my apron onto the rod, unaware what it would do. It pulled my hand into the machine and made the bone visible. The scar is still there, but it has faded mostly. I blamed my friend's Asian eyes.
