  1. I made a post about this too, not that long ago. Your ideas are good, and I think they'd be better if one (or both) of the fish was limited purely to the fishing guild, making it actually useful.
  2. Yeah, I posted about that earlier ... and I'm the same way as lpinkus in that respect. But I think there are other "(action) X" things they'll take care of before doing that.
  3. I think maybe a Drop X option would be good for stacked items ... but otherwise, no.
  4. I quite enjoy it. And it is not rocket infested without talent. If you want a game that takes no skill ... try playing CounterStrike.
  5. I guess some of this could be applicable to Runescape. I personally am illiterate when it comes to the creation of websites, java, understanding HTML or anything else that requires brain power. Whilst browsing sites associated with Wikimedia, I came across this database for making your own Role Playing Game. This could also be extended and applied to Runescape for future skills. http://rpg.acadine.org/w/Main_Page EDIT: Wikimedia, a branch of the all-knowing Wikipedia, has some great sites. http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Sites_using_MediaWiki That's the listing. It has from non-english websites to an idiot's guide to women, a website devoted to game cheats, hints and walkthroughs, to a site all about economics. Good stuff certainly worth checking out.
  6. He clearly stated you couldn't USE them on the free server...just equip them. I for one get annoyed when I accidentally click a member item I am wearing on a free world, and in order to put it back on, I have to log out, switch to a member server, log in, put it back on, log out, and go back to the free server. So yes, I'd like this...but I don't know if Jagex could do it or not, coding-wise. Why is it so important to wear members items in free world?
  7. And not only that but ... could you at least have SOME consistancy in the titles of the songs? If you copy and paste everyone's response, it gets confusing. Especially since in some you have the song first and band second, and others the band first and song second.
  8. Well, hey? That's why it's a competition. It would be boring if everybody had the same taste, then it would be pointless since we would all vote for the same song. No, I mean, considering the possibilities, this is redundant as a competition. You might have like three songs that get two votes ... and then that's somehow a basis for the best song (or favourite some of people here)? It just doesn't seem very logical. Yeah, but you're gonna have so many songs that few will get more than one vote in the end. Hence, it is redundant.
  9. I don't see this competition going places. There's only been one case here when two people have picked the same song. Tastes are so different here, so it's really just pointless.
  10. I personally don't like Blink 182, Green Day or any of this other pop-punk stuff, but I thought I'd say a couple of things. Granted, a band becoming a lot more popular doesn't mean they suck. Muse's popularity sky-rocketed after the release of Absolution, but many people seem to consider that their best album. Nine Inch Nails became a lot popular with The Downward Spiral, Tool with Aenema, Deftones with White Pony, Faith No More with The Real Thing and Alice In Chains with Dirt -- that doesn't mean they're selling out or even going mainstream. Many of those examples contain excellent musicianship, production, lyrics and just the music in general. Additionally, just because a band releases a "Greatest Hits", that doesn't mean their mainstream. It could just be a compilation CD. "Greatest Hits" could describe what the artists themselves think is a collection of the best work they've put out. Interesting you should say that about Green Day's guitar ... yesterday, my teacher gave me the tabs to Holiday. It's piss easy. And I hardly call that thing a solo.
  11. Chances are, they're not going to learn anyway. This is fairly evident in the countless amounts of whining people who want your items. That's the entire POINT! We know from experience that they're not going to learn, and if they are, it can only be through their own self. This object or donation pool or whatever it could be, would keep them away from other players, and decrease the harassment and annoyance there is from people who can't get things for themself.
  12. He's been banned from TV until after 9pm by the TV advertising watchdog :D It's a shame the maker of such an atrocity hasn't been banned from breathing ...
  13. I hope Crazy Frog is another One Hit Wonder ... or I'm going to be very angry.
  14. Have you ever heard of things called time-zones?
  15. I don't quite understand your point here at all. It's not like fish are being stolen from you. If you don't like other people there, then turn public chat off. You have as much luck with fishing on your own than with 50 people fishing at the same spot.
  16. Soft Cell - Tainted Love. And for the love of God THEY WERE NOT THE ORIGINAL COMPOSERS OF THAT SONG! The number of people who believe that isn't a cover ... is astounding.
  17. Fall Out Boy ... urgh. They completely butchered Love Will Tear Us Apart. and Another Brick In The Wall isn't a Manson song. In terms of my playlist ... too many to list. I don't have a set playlist as such. I just have a bunch of MP3's that I listen to depending on mood/phase.
  18. Carpentry was meant to happen about three years ago. Until you see that new skill in your stats menu, don't get your hopes up. You're also speculating.
  19. I fail to see how real life examples are sufficient backing for an argument related to an online video game, especially in this case. At a place like this, it's unlikely for someone to get every drop. Chances are, if this was impemented, there'd be lots and lots of people surrounding these areas -- not just one person with a huge collection of bronze plates. Not only that, but I don't really understand what you're trying to prove or suggest with your example of bronze plates ...
  20. Well, yes, the crayfish was just an example from the top of my head. The fact that you don't need to use the fishing guild illustrates my point perfectly.
  21. Chances are, it will keep them away from parts of the world, and limit their populace to just these specific locations where items like this spawn ... so, your real life analogy isn't exactly applicable.
  22. I'm addicted too. (see my Another Casualty Through Obsession thread)
