  1. Yes, she disobeyed orders, I understand that. Therefore, force was necessary. But 50000 volts goes beyond that force. For all we know, she could still be physically damaged by that. I'm sure there's psychological damage there as well. He could've pulled her out of the car. He could've used a taser with much less force. There are so many other things he could've done. And the second shock ... I don't need to explain that. That was even more unnecessary as she obviously had little to no control of her limbs. Oh, and MyPurpleCrayon, you're just further proving our point (us being people who agree with myself on this issue) by not responding to that. He used YOUR logic. If you're too stubborn and ignorant to realise that you were wrong, then I pity you. I'm sorry, but 5000 volts is the force we have granted policemen to use in cases such as this. If you believe that 5000 volts is too much then take it up with the federal government, not the individual policeman. And once again you, along with everyone else, have misunderstand the entire point. Yes he could have "pulled her out" but she was sitting in a car disobeying orders. That makes her suspicious. Suspicious people sometimes have weapons. Pulling her out of a car could make her use that weapon on you. Is that train of logic too hard for you to follow? We give policemen tasers for situations such as this. I'd rather have someone tasered out of a vehicile (which she was warned of it happening and had plenty of time to comply) than have a police officer's face blown a part. (To comment on using "your own logic" to MyPrupleCrown. Read the post above about the complete fallicy of the argument. I'm so sorry that you people lack the basic skills needed to interpret realistic logic.) You're missing a 0 there. 50000 volts. Now, I understand that force was necessary. It was the only way to get her out of the car. However, they could've used a lot less force there and still managed to get her out of the car. Secondly, I'd like to see you justify the second tasing. Sorry for dropping a zero. Please tell me what less force was? As mentioned by someone else, if he used a baton she could have driven away. Pepper spray is hardly less force. What would you use that would prevent her from driving away but not hurt her *too* bad. I will justify the second tasering with the same premise as my justification of the first. We were not there. We do not understand what it is to be in a situation like that where we believe someone is dangerous. Not until YOU are in that situation can you truly say something was out of line because you do not know what it was really like. A video tape can only show so much. Well, to my knowledge, you can set the tazer to different currents. Therefore, a far less dangerous voltage would have been suitable. He could've also physically forced her out of the car, as I've said countless times before. And for your second point, we do get a grasp of the situation from the video camera. Granted, it's not everything, but it's sure as hell enough to tell that that cop was out of line. A video tape can only show so much - and it showed enough to indicate that the second tasing was police brutality. So if you don't know what the situation is, why are you defending the officer's actions? His examples are only as irrational as your logic. He was applying it to various situations and illustrating the flaws in basing behaviour on the principle that someone might have something.

  3. Oh dear, this has certainly sunk far ... Yes, she disobeyed orders, I understand that. Therefore, force was necessary. But 50000 volts goes beyond that force. 4. I feel physically sick. That is [bleep]ing awful. I'm also surprised at how many people think that is justified. I'm actually so angry and frustrated that this kind of [cabbage] goes on. I mean, really, WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!? Maybe the cop can't get it up, maybe he had a bad day or maybe he's just a [bleep]ing idiot. But that is one of the most awful displays ever. I often consider some of my actions to be sadistic, but that ... I'm not capable of a tenth of that. Okay, so, she could've had a weapon. SPECULATION. Those could've been mass murderers who had stolen police uniforms. They could've been junkies who beat up some cops and took their clothes. They could've been alien life-forms. She was making a phone call; not reaching for a weapon. It's obvious she was talking as he was asking her. Okay, she broke the law - she made a mistake. HOWEVER, he did not have to go to that extent. She could not have been classified as a potential threat for that. To the person who claims that there was five minutes before: bull-[bleep]ing-[cabbage]. So what, she was abusing them telepathically, before she was arrested? The first shock was unnecessary. 50000 volts? There are signs that say "WARNING - 10000 VOLTS". I'm guessing that's pretty damn dangerous. Maybe he could've pulled her out of the car or something. Maybe he could've used a tazer with far less potential to damage. But the SECOND shock? My god, what an idiot. It's obvious she was incapable of moving there. You can tell that only afterwards they're aware of what they've done. The other police officer seemed reluctant in the beginning. In all seriousness, I hope this guy dies. No - wait, I hope he suffers. I hope his genitals are tazed repeatedly. I hope he's set alight and then had the fire put out with freezing water several times. I hope he is forced to swallow hot coals. I hope that mother[bleep]ing scum gets what he deserves.
  5. I don't like much in the way of punk ... The Icarus Line, Amen, Sex Pistols and the Clash. I don't listen to them much, but I certainly appreciate them. I prefer post-punk; The Cure, Joy Division and similar.
  6. I have an acoustic. No idea of brand or model ... I have an Legend electric though. Fairly crap ey.
  7. I agree with jak722. It's amusing that a bird knocked down all the dominos, but there was no reason to kill the bird. That's when the laughter stops. It was a really stupid decision of the shooter to do that, without a doubt. Having said that, these death threats are rather extreme too. I hope a few dozen birds lose their bowels all over him. And a few more release their bowels over those threatening him. Oh hell, I just hope everyone get shat on by birds.
  8. Don't get used to that excitement.
  9. I bet my manhood that we'll lose all games in the first round.
  10. What's so awful about farming? It benefits lots of other skills.
  11. It's the answer to your clue scroll. Complete Priest in Peril. If you already have, go and talk to him next to the mushroom patch.
  12. is it possible to get teeth half keys from him?
  13. On my second level three clue ever, the second clue I got was a co-ordinate. 16.03 North 14.07 East: Just above the entrance to Mad Eadgar's cave on Trollheim mountain. You must have started the Troll Stronghold Quest to get into Trollehim. Good ole' Trollheim. That's where I got my [wagon] wooped on my first level three clue. I came within three HP of killing that thing. Makes me angry. So, now I'm a bit more prepared. I'm gonna have an inventory full of lobsters, and I'll use Protect from Magic. However, I'm wondering: Should I go full green dragonhide, or should I wear prayer-benefitting clothing, and have several restore prayer potions?
  14. What's the best thing you've received from one of the Mysterious Old Man's boxes? Usually, I receive gems or cash, but this time around I got a Cosmic Talisman. Granted, I already have a Cosmic Tiara, but it's nice to get something rarer every now and then. What are your best prizes for solving his ever-so-difficult box puzzle?
  15. I've often been reading the forums and had him come without realising. Two or three times I've ended up in the Lumbridge Castle basement.
  16. You dig at the location, and get attacked. If it is an area in the wilderness, it is a Zamorakian mage -- I'm not sure of the level, but he'll attack with magic (I think), so it's a good idea to bring ranger armour (dragonhide preferrably). If it's a location not in the wilderness, you'll get attacked by a Saradomin Mage, who is much stronger; level 112 or so. He'll also attack with mage. He's very dangerous; take it from me ... best to bring lots of food and prayer potions. When you dig for the clue in the right spot, one of these mages will jump out. After you kill the mage, you can dig again and get your reward or the next clue.
  17. The quest guide on Tip.it should be able to help you. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=111 In future, please post questions like these in the Help and Advice section of the forum. This area is for suggestions of new ideas to Runescape, and similar topic. Thank you, and good luck in your quest. [/modditude]
  18. I've only ever gotten one level three clue. I had to finish a quest to access it (on top of Trollheim) and I remember my fight with the Saradomin Mage. Ugh, that was a painful memory. I had studded leather armour, coif, vambraces, boots, full prayer, inventory full of bass and tuna (I think) and a gnome defense amulet. Man, I wish I brought teleportation runes. I got him down to about five HP; I was out of food and knew if I ran I'd die anyway. I was thought, what the hell, I'll keep going. I was on the edge of my seat; his health bar made him look like he was dead. How wrong was I ... Oh well, you live and you learn. I've learned to take teleportation runes everywhere. Congratulations on your loot.

Nothing is better than God. Old toast is better than nothing. Therefore, old toast is better than God. (not that I needed an analogy to come to that inclusion)
  20. Nine Inch Nails - Wish (chorus riff) Nine Inch Nails - We're In This Together (chorus riff) Nine Inch Nails - Getting Smaller (chorus riff) Nine Inch Nails - Star[bleep]ers (chorus riff) Nine Inch Nails - March Of The Pigs Marilyn Manson - Great Big White World (chorus riff, pre-chorus and verse) Black Sabbath - Paranoid Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name Of (verse) New Order - Ceremony (chorus) Nine Inch Nails - Dead Souls (chorus) lots more.
  21. I think a furnace would work. But the other things would make it far too easy.
  22. There are a few problems with this. This has been discussed many times before. Jagex will never release the ability to dye clothing because of all the different types of clothing that have different abilities. It'd increase scamming immensely.
  23. ... no. That'd be pointless.
  24. Um, Runescape hasn't been around for seven years. And by your logic there should never be any updates, because that would be "killing the tradition". um, actualy, runscape HAS been around for seven years or longer It's currently 2005. Almost 2006. That would mean that Runescape started around the end of 1998. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runescape
