Fundamentaly though i believe that Bush's tactics and Blair's are wrong and that they will never work. Where was Religious fanaticism 5 years ago? did it exist? yes, but it wasn't like it is now. Nowadays the situation is that the governments of Britain and America are considering deporting religious extremists because of the threat they now present. However this threat was created largely by the previous actions and attitudes of America and Britain. The events of 9/11 and 7/7 happened because of religious extremism on the part of the terrorists and lies and deceit on the part of the politicians, the people who suffered most had nothing to do with why the events happened. You may not agree with me but these are my beliefs, i do not expect many to agree with them. The situation in the middle east is a problem which stemmed from Western Imperialism, on the part of the British, the land around Israel and Palestine which is disputed by both nations was promised to both groups of people at different times in history by the British. Consequently both nations believe they own the land. Perhaps it is time the people of America and Britain, particularly America though I regret to say it (I have no doubt that the government of Britain would follow), to stop and think, what do we really want from the world, do we want a never ending war? By this I mean the war on terror, which I would of course fully support if i truly thought there would be any chance of ultimate victory. Look at Bin Laden, how long have we been hunting for him, will we ever find him? ultimately he will die just like everyone else but by then there will no doubt be some new threat and a new public enemy number one for Bush or Bush jnr or Bush jnr jnr to deal with. I hope i didn't offend anyone, if i didI'm sorry but I wanted to say what i was thinking
