Hi my smithing is almost 67. I want to get 70 using a balance of speedy and cost efficient methods. What would be the best way? I was going to smelt mith bars but it takes way too long. So I bought iron bars and am about to make iron knives. I would lose almost 600k this way. Can anyone post any good methods for me? Oh also, how many SC hammers would I need? I need 199k xp, but I don't know how long the hammers last. Thank you for your help.

I have four formal gardens so I don't know.. I'm not that happy with it right now. I think the roses and bluebells combination looks good. I guess I will just keep what I have though, for the variety and because I don't want to spend any more money haha I spent so much. Stupid posh fountain.. Thank you all for your help though. I may change it to all roses and bluebells one day. PS. I think mine looks really good and extremely functional as well. :D

Which flowers look the best? I mixed and matched all of them but it looks kinda crazy. Is it better to have each garden have the same kind of flowers? What do you guys think?

Hahaa, I would be so pissed off if I got another big shark after 35k xp. And yeah, I'm not going to take any chances with my big shark. Its going to stay in my bank until I am about to build it. And even then I'm going to wear the outfit from Mourning Ends so I don't contaminate it.

That happened to me once, well it was like one log away from each other. Didn't think much of it at the time. Didn't know it was really rare..

I got it! I finally got it! After maybe i don't know, 5k sharks? And nearly 4 fishing levels later, on the 7th day I got it. Thanks all for your help and support. I will fish for 35k more xp for 82 fishing, then off to SC and my construction goal. Thank you all once again.

I started at 57 farming, using pies to plant yew. I bought 5 papaya seeds and 5 yews the first time, but didn't pay farmers to look after it so one of my yews died, and one of my papayas. I saved another papaya before that died too. I did that a second time, but had a maple seed lying around so only bought 4 yew seeds, making sure to pay the farmers this time. Cactus spines are quite expensive, almost 2.2k each. This got me to 61 farming 4 levels I bought 9 yew seeds, 10 papaya seeds, and 50 cactus spines. At 79.1k, 34.8k, and 2.2k each respectively, that totals around 1.17M. I don't know exactly what I spent for 3 levels, but probably just a little bit less. Which still comes to around 1M. And I did it again, but haven't checked health yet. According to Tip.its calculator, that'll take me to 63 farming. So for 6 levels I spent: 14 yew seeds x 79.1k ea = around 1.1M , 15 papaya trees x 34.8k ea = 522k , 100 cactus spines x 2.2k ea = 220k. Grand total = 1.842M. Yeah, I guess yew seeds were a dumb idea, but still, at least I'm not a liar. From this thread I guess I should do herbs and lower level trees from now on. I'm thinking snapdragon and pineapples and willow atm. Is that a good plan?

Yeah, I spent almost 1m on 3 farming levels. I will just do herb seeds from now on.

Why you post on rant go post somewhere else its better at your low lvl nob (: Yeah I hate when people do that, especially when they themselves don't know what they're talking about. If I ask, I appreciate their reply and everything but if I'm just quietly minding my own business and they're like "HAHA NOob y u use slay dart it sucks use god spell" or something I just ignore them. But on the other hand, one nice person simply offered to trade so I did and he gave me a barb tailed harpoon, telling me it was better than a normal so I appreciated that as well. I guess its all in how they treat you.

Oh ok, thanks guys that helps a lot knowing that I'm not just getting screwed over. I will keep fishing until I get it. Then SC for hammers, then 80 construction. Hopefully, I'll do this by next week.

I just thought of something.. If I am using a barb-tailed harpoon that I wield, can I still get a big shark?

Yeah, the only thing that keeps me going is the xp and money. Except I lost a lot trying to merchant because of a conversation I had in the fishing guild.. so it was sort of connected to this whole thing haha. But its fine. Yeah, I'm going to just keep it up until I finally do get one. The satisfaction will be tremendous. I hear most people average one around 2k sharks so hopefully I will get one soon as I am nearing twice the average amount.

I've been at fishing guild fishing sharks for 5 days now. I've fished maybe 3.5k sharks and still haven't gotten a big shark. Is this normal? I've gotten 3 levels so far and still no big shark. I started wearing ROW hoping that would help. I don't want to stop until I get it because then that would mean I just wasted 5 days. Thanks for your help.

Ok nevermind I thought it would be a lot easier than that. I'd like to get the SC hammers, planks, and finish 80 within 5 days so I guess I'll just buy my planks and make money later to make up for it. But thank you all for your help :)

Ah dang it.. I guess I will ditch that plan then and just buy them. But would this method be the best way? Straight up planks. I don't remember, but I think I used oak logs and got my servant to bank and then plank. Which would be more cost effective? Would it even out do you think or would I save some money?

Yeah, I'd like some combat xp as well. Does anyone know their drop rate? Like maybe how many oak planks an hour? The other drops I'll sell and use to buy more oak planks so I don't have to stay there forever.

I have 99 cooking. I read this and thought about getting 99 fletching. I'm getting it because its easy, and I want another 99, and so my cape will be trimmed. It still takes time though, and dedication. And no matter what 99 it is, the going will get tough eventually. No 99 is "easy" just easier than others. PS I might get 99 fm as well. Then I would have 3 skillcapes of dirt, but it would be beautiful dirt.

I am currently going for 80 construction after i get a big fish. To get to 80 I need 1,465,472 xp which is 24,425 oak planks. I'm going to be using SC hammers so I'll need approximately 12.2k planks, and around 28 hammers I believe (not sure on this number). That'd cost around 5.3M. However, I figured that I might as well collect some myself at a monster that coincidentally gives great xp. So does anyone know what the oak drop rates are for Armored Zombies? If it'd take too long to collect all the planks I need I might only do half and buy the other half or figure something out. Also, if anyone has any tips for my construction goal, it would be appreciated. I mainly want 78 which I could achieve with 75 construction and gilded shelves but 80 is a good solid number so I am aiming for that instead. Thanks all for your help.

I did most of the quests without the guides, and although it does take longer and can become frustrating at times, you learn a lot more about the game. When I first became a member I did many quests and quickly learned a lot about the members world. 3 years later, I became lazy and use the quest guides to see what items I need to acquire etc.

Does anyone know the drop rate of oak planks/hr at zombies? I'm going to do that to gain combat xp and oak planks for construction. This is really helpful :D During f2p, I trained on cockroach soldiers and got almost 2k mith ores from them. Also a wonderful source of laws.

Haha this happened to me as well. Bought 10k sharks at min 955 ea. Then they were 1013 but wouldn't sell. Next day they were 948 mid. So I sold them all by hand on PVP worlds 1k ea and would have made a profit if I didn't trade 3.5k or so of them for 2 whips. I sold 1 whip for cash and a regen bracelet, and the other for cash and 20 rune boots. Sold bracelet for 255k at min, and still have 18 rune boots, which are just plummeting. Last time I tried to merch was so long ago I forgot how bad I was at it, so I guess I learned my lesson again.

Me too, and then I would spend that time doing it better to make more money the second time around.

Yeah, he could get it if he played maybe 2 hours a day, but no way playing only an hour. Eucalyptus trees will net you quite a bit of profit yeah, maybe you could switch it up so you make some money.

I spent about an hour killing them and only got my medium pouch back. Then I realized I could have gotten my medium pouch back for free from the wizard in the rcing guild and just bought my large pouch from him for 25k. I would suggest doing that its easier and 25k isn't that much.
