  1. See this article; http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-stats-lookup-or-internal-utilities-is-messed-up-.html
  2. I intend on loading Windows 8 onto my laptop sometimes soon so I'll be able to check it out and see what can be done.
  3. The first problem is one we're aware of, and gave a warning message before you could use the feature about. It's a bit tricky because there's some screens like the one you pointed out or the World Map that don't have the menu bar. We tried playing with auto detection but it caused too many glitches and was a bit resource hungry. In the end we decided a manual toggle switch was the best way to go. So you just have to uncheck it for screens like that if needed to see a close button or something else. For the second part, see this article; http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-how-to-backup-screenshots.html
  4. It may be possible. I've been thinking about the possibility of launching the RsClient, then piggybacking it onto SwiftKit. It is something I'll be looking into at some stage.
  5. We're pleased to announce a new partnership and integration with one of the longest running and most helpful RuneScape fansites out there - Tip.It. As a result of the new integration, SwiftKit is now using Tip.It as it's primary source of RuneScape data. This includes items, prices, npcs, guides etc. To begin with things might not seem too different, however down the track we'll be making updates to utilise all the useful data that Tip.It has to offer. With the new integration we've also moved the SwiftKit support forum over to the Tip.It forum. While we were more then happy with Zybez hosting them we felt that it made sense to move them over with the new integration taking place. We'd like to thank our previous integration partner Zybez for providing SwiftKit with database and forum hosting over all these years. The Zybez community have been great to us and we hope to continue being close friends. In other news, SwiftKit will now automatically crop out that horrible in game menu bar. We're not fans of this top menu bar any more then you are so expect to see an update in the near future giving you the ability to hide it. Changes and Fixes: + Tip.It integration. + Ingame menubar now cropped from Screenshots automatically. + New minigames added to stats lookup.

  8. Please keep all SwiftKit suggestions to this topic. When making a suggestion please be as descriptive as possible. Screenshots, sketches or diagrams can be very helpful in most cases. The SwiftKit team will sift through the suggestions and if the suggestion is feasible then we'll test how practical it'd be to implement and add it to our list. Alright this topic has got a bit long, so here are a few things NOT to suggest: Video recorder/Player Ad blocker (it's against 3rd party client guidelines) MSN/TeamSpeak/Ventrilio etc plugin IRC scripting engine Embedded flash games World hopper/avoiding normal navigation of the RuneScape website (it's against 3rd party client guidelines)
  9. We only provide support for SwiftKit Mac on OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and above. Please do not post here if you are using either of the following: A version of OS X that is 10.4 (Tiger) or lower if you are using a version of SwiftKit Mac below v0.3.0b A version of OS X that is 10.5 (Snow Leopard) or lower if you are using SwiftKit Mac v0.3.0b or above. Any form of OS X emulation on non-Apple hardware, such as a 'Hackintosh' Not only is OS X emulation illegal it is unstable and thus it is more than likely a system problem than a SwiftKit Mac problem.

Please thoroughly read the before posting your questions or comments. Also make sure you read the other sticky posts too, older posts for similar questions and also the Knowledge Base. Note that unofficial Mac systems such as 'Hackintoshes' or running under virtual machines/emulators are not supported. Note: If this doesn't solve your problem, make a post in the forum with detailed information including screenshots and crash reports (if applicable). If you don't do this your topic will be locked. Help us help you. _______________________________________________________________________ SwiftKit does not work for me. Try the following steps: Make sure you have the latest version of OS X and Java. Use the Apple logo menu up the top left of your screen ">Software Update..." to do this. Make sure you have the latest version of SwiftKit. This can be downloaded from swiftkit.net Try trashing your old SwiftKit preferences file. Open the Terminal in your /Applications/Utilities folder and use the following command rm ~/Library/Preferences/net.swiftkit.SwiftKit.plist Hey I found a bug! SwiftKit Mac is currently at a BETA stage. Although bugs are not intended they are expected. If no solution was found by the end of this document, post here and explain your problem as best you can. SwiftKit for Windows has feature 'XYZ', why doesn't the Mac version have this? SwiftKit for the Mac has been entirely rewritten from the ground up using a completely different programming language than the Windows version. This means features from the Windows counterpart will be gradually introduced as we continue development. Please bare with us, eventually we want to include all the nifty features you love from the original. How can I resize the window? Click and drag the bottom right hand corner of SwiftKit. The standard diagonal resize lines in the bottom right are hidden by the applet when playing, making it look as if the window does not resize. Note that resizing while playing may cause Java to crash. If possible, log out before attempting this. I am having problems playing RuneScape with SwiftKit. Try and play through Safari - both SwiftKit and Safari use WebKit to render and handle the web pages. If you are also having problems playing through Safari then the problem lies somewhere other than SwiftKit. Every time I try to play I get a Java confirmation window asking me to allow the applet to run. This is not related to SwiftKit, but Mac OS X in general. A security feature of the OS is to manually approve Java applets before they can execute code on the system. This is to prevent potentially malicious code (malware) from infecting your system. Since RuneScape is obviously safe, you can safely accept these prompts. Since the RuneScape game is loaded from over 100 different locations (worlds) each time you click 'Play Now', you must allow the applet to run for each different world. You shouldn't be prompted if you've loaded the game from that particular world before. Java does not load and instead I get a coffee mug and a red exclamation mark. This is not related to SwiftKit. You can fix this by opening Java Preferences in your /Applications/Utilities folder. Select the general tab then for all the rows in the list box select the "Options..." button. If you have previously put in a little snippet of text here to enable particle effects and other advanced graphics when playing, make sure it is spelled correctly. It should be exactly "-Xmx200m", if you misspell this (for example "-xmx200m" you will get the red exclamation mark. If this still does not work, go ahead and remove all parameters from the text box.
  11. Please keep all SwiftKit suggestions in this topic. When making a suggestion please be as descriptive as possible. Screenshots, sketches or diagrams can be very helpful in most cases. The SwiftKit team will sift through the suggestions and if the suggestion is feasible then we'll test how practical it'd be to implement and add it to our list. Do NOT suggest the following: Native IRC client or any IRC features - currently we use SwiftIRC's qwebirc for the IRC client in SwiftKit Mac. We are aware of the shortcomings of using this but it's effectively our only option. We will look into possible ways of automation regarding identifying and joining channels in due course. In the mean time, learn how to manually identify with your nickname and join channels from the SwiftIRC Wiki. Support for Mac OS X 10.5 - while we have tested SwiftKit on version 10.5 (Leopard) of Mac OS X and it works quite well, some features will not work (such as icons in tabs). We have no plans to increase support for 10.5. It is a nominal cost to upgrade to 10.6 (Snow Leopard) which can be purchased from Apple's website or a local reseller. Themes - we did not feel it appropriate to use themes with the Mac OS X version of SwiftKit as the design and colour scheme fits in with most other Mac OS X applications. Any other features from the original SwiftKit - we are actively working to add features to SwiftKit Mac which appear in the original SwiftKit. You will be prompted upon opening SwiftKit if there is an update available. Video recorder Ad blocker MSN/TeamSpeak/Ventrilio etc plugin IRC scripting engine Embedded flash games
  12. Hiding the ads in browsers, even in their own client is very easy. Though there is no specific advantage to doing this, players are not encouraged or forced to hide the ads in browsers or the Jagex client compared to other Toolkits/World Switchers. Where tools or utilities are placed under the RuneScape applet, meaning should a player want to use those tools effectively they HAVE to hide the ad. Jagex are trying to rule out this sort of thing.
  13. *dusts off old tip.it account* LOL! Haha, that one made me laugh. :XD: A very well written article which as one member has already mentioned, it's hit the nail on the head. So many points in there that I couldn't agree with more.
