If you're going to do the above, please do take a second as well to report the false positive to bitdefender so they can stop it from happening. http://www.bitdefend...ations-491.html I'd also suggest removing the exclusion after a week or two when hopefully Bitdefender have sorted it our and pushed an update.

Unless a fansite (hopefully tip.it) releases a database with all that information we can't really do that.

Guys we need to know what Antivirus you're running so we can notify them of the false positive. The name and version - make sure you've got the latest updates installed. We haven't made any changes. It just a false positive, happens every now and then.

Does it work fine in Internet Explorer?

Uninstall previous versions of java Restart your computer Using Internet Explorer download the 32bit offline installer from http://java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp Install java Restart your computer once more You are now good to go.

Yep, I had issues with Java7 and win8. Went back to v6 and now working fine. Just make sure you install the 32bit version.
