What? Is it the same problem as before? Tried updating to Java 7?
  2. Stidor replied to Yt-MejKot's topic in SwiftKit
Ok cool. You should be able to update to the latest Java too now.
  3. Stidor replied to Yt-MejKot's topic in SwiftKit
What is the error? Post us the debug output.

Try the staff server. Password is ruckus13 Some changes were made that allow you to use Java 7 now.

Does RS work fine when you try from Chrome itself?
  6. Stidor replied to reaverhd's topic in SwiftKit
Enable the staff server (Click Options on Launcher then Advanced) The password is: ruckus13 I've made some changes for Java7 to work, so could you tell me if this made any difference?
  7. Technically - if we offered an input box where a user could put in a desired URL, then we wouldn't be breaking the rules I don't think. As a user can do the same thing in a browser, so it's of no advantage at all.

Ok, I'm still working on getting Java 7 working which will in turn change quite a few things so it will hopefully fix this issue. Keep an eye out or subscribe to the topic and I'll let you know once an update is available on the staff server.

Haven't seen this one before. Maybe install the VB6 runtime files; http://kb.swiftkit.net/question-how-to-install-vb-runtime-files-.html
  10. On old school? You only have to go in and out of the server selection screen for it to refresh. You don't have to reload the entire page.
  11. Are you using the Chrome frame? If not this is a bug with IE and old school. Same thing happens if you play in Internet Explorer.
  12. Stidor replied to reaverhd's topic in SwiftKit
Are you sure you tested it enough in Chrome standalone before you could rule out it wasn't happening there as well?
  13. Click options then go to Install Directory and delete SwiftKit-RS[Caution: Executable File]
  14. Stidor replied to reaverhd's topic in SwiftKit
How long does it normally take before you get the freeze? Is it Old School or EOC?
  15. Stidor replied to reaverhd's topic in SwiftKit
So did it happen while you were playing in Chrome (not using SwiftKit but using Chrome itself)
  16. Stidor replied to reaverhd's topic in SwiftKit
Do the screen freezes occur when playing in Chrome itself?
  17. Stidor replied to Mr Scoobsx's topic in SwiftKit
Out of interest, where was your Chrome located? Did you install it normally from Google?
  18. Doesn't matter. I've added a setting into View > Settings that allows you to manually set the path to Chrome. Just tested with Canary - should be working fine if you manually set the path.
  19. This is the path we get Chrome from; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, "SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Google Chrome\shell\open\command" Is it different with Canary?
  20. I'd like to note that the Java 6 requirement is only short term (as in for the next few days...). We're well aware that it's at the end of it's life cycle. Once the RuneScape HTML5 client comes out, if a player plans to stick with Java (including v7) they can continue using the default browser in SwiftKit which will work just fine with the latest Java. At the moment though there is no problem using Java 6.
  21. SwiftKit Chrome Frame (Now Live!) With the upcoming RuneScape 3 BETA SwiftKit will also need to evolve to support the latest HTML5 technology. Currently SwiftKit uses Internet Explorer, which doesn't support the technology requirements for RuneScape 3. In order for users to experience RuneScape 3 inside of SwiftKit, we've gone ahead and implemented the ability to use a Google Chrome Frame inside of SwiftKit. There's no denying that RuneScape works best on Google Chrome, you will see immediate performance enhances. What are the requirements? You need Google Chrome installed (v25 or higher) For more information see this KB article Is seems slow... The Chrome Frame has it's own cache directory. So the first time you load RuneScape it will need to re-download. After that though it will be nice and fast. How do I enable/disable the Chrome Frame? Go to View > Settings inside SwiftKit and check or uncheck the Chrome Frame setting. Will this work for Old School? Yes! This change will work for all three versions of RuneScape. EoC, Old School and even Classic. Changes and Fixes: + Added option to use Chrome for loading RuneScape! + New Game Selection dropdown. + Treasure Trails link changed to rstt.net + Option added to Settings to disable the Chrome Frame. + Option added to Settings to set Chrome path. + Fixed hitpoints xp on Old School calc. + Options menu added to Launcher. + New profiles backdrop. Current known issues: (Fixed) You can only use the Chrome Frame option on your primary monitor. If you move it to another it disappears. (Fixed) Chrome frame crashed on Windows XP when you tried to accept Java plugin notification. (Fixed) Pressing F11 causes the frame to go glitchy. (Fixed) Old School has the top game bar/menu bar. (Fixed) When in fixed screen graphic setting on EoC the footer is visible. (Fixed) Java 1.7 didn't let you type into the game

Not enough demand I'm afraid. Both the Windows and Mac versions were built specifically for their platform, so I'm afraid a Linux version any time soon wouldn't be possible.
  23. Stidor replied to Johnnypants's topic in SwiftKit
Please let us know if the staff server worked or not.
  24. What was the security settings at when you logged on?
  25. Could you post us the log of the debug.txt file in your SwiftKit folder? Try the staff server. The password is sphex12 I think you have an issue with the CDN
