Right, I could possibly be returning some time tonight. My loan is due to come through tommorrow, hopefully at midnight (5 hours). When I get that I should be able to update my internet to "super" which I believe WILL allow me to play runescape, almost 2 months after I last played. I have missed playing Runescape, a couple of weekends ago my flatmates went away for the weekend and I couldn't join them so I was home alone, how I'd have loved to play Runescape that weekend. If I do get it back today, I'll renew my membership and then go get my stuff from my kingdom, been about 10 weeks since I last week so...

Do we need a new membership option? Hourly ...
DarkDude replied to truffoo's topic in General Discussion
How did you work out that? Currently it's just 28/30/31 days from the second you ordered your membership, a week or a day would work in the exact same way... -

So you're right, mine's checked aswell and I've never seen it in action. I guess I either don't make any typos or it just doesn't work... I'm going to go with the not working part. -

Best solution: Add a Weekly option for about $2 per week. Slightly off topic, a "month" in Jagex's terms is the number of days the month we're currently in has. It's very annoying in Feburary when you only get 28 days of members instead of 31 you'd have got in January. -

I have no idea what browser you use, but Firefox doesn't have auto spell check and I don't believe IE does either. Infact, this is the first I've ever heard of a browser having spell check. -
A record on who visits Runescape.com.

Something like that got me kicked out of a clan before. For some reason my IP was apparently saying I was in Saudia Arabia, so they saw this and instantly thought I was a spy. Racism a bit there? -
Well currently you have to click on about 20 things just to see what items spawn in a certain place. It would, in my opinion be much easier with a list of items, you may not be looking for anything in particular but if you see something that you didn't know spawned then you can go see where it spawns, rather than going through hundreds of clicks in the faint hope you'll find something you might find useful.
-
In my opinion you're doing it the wrong way. List each item then the place(s) where that item spawns would be a lot better.

He asked a question, and it's not a "yes/no" question. I'm not quite sure, but I think it has something to do with the programming of the game. Java can only go so far. Why do people bring this up all the time? It's a bunch of rubbish, Java is one of the most versatile languages, horse riding in this game is something that wouldn't be hard to do. It's not going to be added, it's been suggested thousands of times before and Jagex have said they won't put it in as it doesn't add anything new to the game, with all the teleporting methods you're never far from your destination, horses are NOT needed.

The closest we have is the Mort Myre travel mini-game thing. However this is NOT the randomly generated scenarios they're described in the above quote. If they do this right it would in my opinion be great fun. Have Diablo 2 -esque dungeons with a reward at the end where each person in the "team" would get a seperate reward. Fill a random dungeon with random monsters and obstacles that require multiple people to get pass using multiple skills and you have yourself one hell of an update!

I'm pretty sure all unfermented wine was changed to normal wine during the update and hence there is NO noted unfermented wine in the game. It's discontinued completly, it doesn't exist within the game.

Same here. Yeah for those saying it's rare, it's not. You're just the people who obviously alch any clues which are averagely hard. I had coordinates once where I got 3 clues in the same coordinates after each other. Shortened the length of the clue immensely lol Yeah, I never do any clues...
-
Yes it can, it'd just involve changing the variable type. However I expect it'd be a lot more difficult than that depending on why this value is set how it is in the first place. Things such as the KQ show how Jagex can get around this limitation without having to go deep into their code to change it.
-
In all my thousands and thousands of clues I have never had this happen to me. Although one time I opened a casket to get another casket inside, opened that to get ANOTHER casket, and inside of that was my reward so :?

RuneScape on Miniclip, Jagex's worst decision ever?
DarkDude replied to JJGM's topic in General Discussion
No it wasn't a bad decision as without miniclip Jagex would obviously be making less money which in turn goes towards staff which inturn goes towards improving the game. So it was a good decision to put it there. Secondly I'm annoyed at the people who say Jagex are just after the money. I know and speak to several mods in game often and know that they do listen to players. A lot of time I have Mod Mark or Paul asking me what I thought of the update and have often discussed potential changes to the game with Mod Mark. Seeing as Mod Mark and Paul are both high up in Jagex I think that'd indicate that Jagex DO care about their "customers" and what they want within the game. Unfortunatly there's millions of people who play the game and what each individual person wants is different from everyone else. -
Jagex jagex jagex...They got it worng? Again?
DarkDude replied to sirgudi's topic in General Discussion
Not sure if it's been said yet but it's more than likely a "safety" feature. If it was allowed you'd see A LOT more people complaining about having lost their items, either by giving it to a "friend" or by someone interfering with your drop trade. If Jagex built a proper system for transferring items between accounts it would make a "hackers" job a lot more simple. So if they say it is allowed they have one of two choices, make a lot more people lose items or people lose a lot more items. -
It's hard enough to find a server to KQ on when all are available, when you're left with a small amount of servers that aren't lootshare are going to be packed with soloers, thus forcing you to go to lootshare servers. And the problem still stands, for example at GWD I go with one other person, we could be using lootshare ourselves, a group fo 5 come who are also using lootshare, the 5 of them will most likely deal more damage than 2 combined and will get the drop 99% of the time, whereas before the 2 people stood a decent enough chance of getting the drop.
-
Lootshare could ruin some bosses. For example I'm soloing the KQ and have done just over 1/3 damage to it myself. Then two people come with Lootshare and do just under 1/3 damage each. Normally I'd get the drop but with this new method they'd get the drop. It's just a new method for people who don't want to work for their loot can "steal" kills much much more simply.

This has been known for quite some time now, for example abyssals drop coins with their clue. Note that you can still get addy darts seperatly and that some monsters don't have a fixed drop for their clues (Mith Dragons for example) Visage is dropped with any other item, and so are monster heads so it's perfectly possible to get a dragon chain/kq head or abyssal whip/abyssal head in the same drop. Or even Dragon Large/Draconic visage drop together if you're REALLY lucky... Note to you not: I should have my internet fixed and RS-able sometime early november so hopefully around that time we can do more of you sitting there whlie I get attacked by a level 650 again.

Global announcements, what's going on?
DarkDude replied to DarkDude's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
Phew, we're back. Down for the best part of 2 days. Didn't expect it to do be down for nearly that length of time. Important thing is that it's back up now though and hopefully no harm was done. -

The newest announcement just did, and he posted some topics on general, luckily those topics were deleted fast, but not before they got a fair amount of views >_ -

Yep, shame no other admins are on, tallest needs to banned asap. Don't think mods have the ability to ban people, well not other admins anyway! -
I'm sure you've seen the announcements made by tallest... sounds like something bad is going on #-o
