Pink cape with yellow polka dots. No one knows, no one will know until Jagex show off the cape prior to the skill comes out or the actual day the skill comes out.

I rarely get automated responses, but had a few terrible messages in my time. Just after clues had come out tip.it and various other sites reported Werewolves dropping level 3 clues, I'd killed a load along with friends and we had none so I sent a question to Jagex. They replied telling me to check fansites (And LINKED to tip.it) and said that yes, they do drop clues. Not only do they have to use fansites to get information about their own game, it's wrong information. I also had a message insulting my skills, was something along the lines of "Heil Dark Dude! Your record for reporting players is mighty indeed! If you spent as long killing monsters as you do reporting you'd be the mightiest of warriors!" When I asked why I hadn't had any responses to any of the people I'd reported for about a year (Back when they actualy sent messages about it)

You had to post in a topic in RSC general forum and have a RSC account to see the forums. You could try contacting Jagex and say you have a RSC account and want to view the forums.

RWT'er puts up 1m. GP Buyer puts up 1m. RWT'er loses on purpose, and the GP Buyer has just received his purchase. Of course, the RWT'er would be a level 3 so that the GP Buyer doesn't worry that the RWT'er will win the duel and make 1m. This, and if you argue that the Person buying the gold probably has no money. Even if they have as little as 2k gp, they'd be up to 1,024,000gp in 10 duels. From that point it's quickly doubled to the amount needed.

a potential solution to the dueling problem: trust stakes
DarkDude replied to ixfd64's topic in General Discussion
This wouldn't work, I suggested the same thing just after the update came out then realised/was told by Paul that it wouldn't work. They'd still be able to real world item trade, I assume the person buying has atleast some money, this would quickly double until they had the full amount. It'd only take 10 duels to get from 2,000gp to 1,024,000gp. And I assume the person buying has even a bit more money than that making it go up a lot quicker. -
20 November 2007 - Duel Arena Tournaments and Changes
DarkDude replied to Aneron's topic in General Discussion
Just spoken to Paul in game and he went over things briefly with me. Obviously they've spent a long time debating this and found 3,000 to be the best number to set it at, quite how they came up this number I'm not sure but I respect the time they must have spent coming to that conclusion. I'm still iffy on the situation, it just seems far to low for my liking, even something such as 50,000 would be good, but obviously Jagex feel that's far too much. The 10% thing I suggested earlier wouldn't work, that'd end up getting up exponentially (doubling each time) until the required amount was "transferred". Same with the "Within 3,000" suggestion someone else made. Paul also said the 3,000 limit most probably won't change and that even if I did persuade him it wouldn't do any good  I suggested he made a topic on the forums about it to stop (some) of the idiots protesting like morons. At the end of the day, Jagex are doing this to try and benefit us by stopping the autoers/real world item sellers, sacrifices have to be made and unfortunately this was at the cost of 1 vs 1 staking. Look on the bright side, now you have a chance to win 64x what you staked, more than worth the sacrifice imo! -
20 November 2007 - Duel Arena Tournaments and Changes
DarkDude replied to Aneron's topic in General Discussion
As an Ex-staker and a long term Runescape player I can say Jagex have outdone themselves this time. I'm support pretty much every update Jagex has ever done (There's a few iffy ones here and there) but this is just stupid. 3,000 gold is nothing and has made staking 100% pointless. 3,000 gold is about 5 minutes worth of work at most and a complete and utter joke. Fine, I can understand people using the duel arena to get around trade detection of real world item trading, but why not monitor staking? Jagex have just taken the lazy way out, they should have implemented a system similar to trading where they can see unfair trades. The best way to reduce the amount of duel arena trading is to have both stakes within 10% of each other (10% of the highest offer, so if someone offers 1M, the other has to offer Atleast 900k, at most around ~1.1M (Tad more than that, because 10% of 1.1M is 110k). This means that dueling is fair for everyone and if they're trading huge amounts of money, then the other side will need a similar amount too. -
Monday Poll: Have you ever been scammed by a friend?
DarkDude replied to MPM's topic in General Discussion
Yep, most important item I lost was a red party hat, my favourite item, stolen on my 16th birthday =/ -
Your first 99 ? Early 2006 I think, so 4 and a half years. Your first million gold ? Probably around a year and half. And when did you start playing? November 2001

true. we had classes before, adventurer, miner, ect... when you made char you picked one.. thats how people get chars with 9 hp, miners, ect started with higher mining, and only 9 hits. You're both right and wrong. Yes you could create classes before which had different stats, not too sure what the HP levels were, but I'm fairly sure they weren't changed (correct me if I'm wrong here). The reason for 9 hits characters is NOT that they were miners, I believe either the experience requirement for level 10 went up a bit (And all levels after), or for some reason your hits experience went down a bit when the characters were converted to RS2. The choosing of classes is NOTHING to do with 9 hp characters (Well, maybe a few if the different classes had lower hp, which I'm not sure they did).

There are already multiple races in Runescape, however we can only be human. In my opinion it would be very stupid having multiple races, first of all it would provide no new gameplay elements without unbalancing the game even more and secondly it would ruin pretty much every quest. A rewrite of every quest to respond to you as the difference race(s) would take forever and not to mention the time it'd take to do all the item modelling for the new look characters.

Last time I logged in, I just logged in then to see if I could, didn't do anything. Must have been about 15 days prior to that I last played. Kingdom goodies! Tree sides (Pile with 1 is Magic tree) My herbs I have, all from the kingdom Went to Zamorak Boss, getting the killcount in the sara/zamorak section (With an item of each so I didn't get hit), we killed the sara mages whenever we could just incase we got a pair of dragon boots. I notice my friend who I was with sending me a picture of MSN, he'd got a pair of boots. I look back at Runescape, and what do I see on the floor? The trip was unventful other than that, they've changed it since I last went so I wasn't really prepared, we still got 12 kills between us (3 of each) so it's not too bad, and lootshare is REALLY useful, well other than the fact that It only wanted to give me the ashes

Strange, mrymk's (I think :P) post appears to be broken, yet the spoiler in the original message and the picture in the spoiler tags work fine for me.

How about you spend some of that time taking some grammar lessons and learning how to type correctly. Secondly, please don't speak unless you know what you're talking about. People can have fun in a way that's different to the way you have fun, also some of us don't have 9 o'clock bed times like you appear to. Now, just because you're a pre-teen (or early teen) doesn't mean we all are, personally I'm at university every day of the week, averaging about 4 hours a day of lectures and another couple of hours doing work at university. When I get home I spend another few hours each night doing work, I spend a few hours "hanging out" with my flatmates and other friends, yet I'd still have time for a few hours of Runescape each day easily, I could probably do some of my work while playing Runescape, it requires that little attention at times. I personally have 3 99s, and am about a week or two away from my 4th, I'm not tired of the game, I don't regret getting those 99s.

Untrimmed Slayer Cape - Images are fake, Lock please!
DarkDude replied to Etta's topic in General Discussion
We know what the untrimmed cape looks like, Duradel has one. So that's not a problem. -
Over a year ago now I was just hanging around with some friends in my "Grim Bunny" suit, and jokingly said "Right... next on my list is ______" At that point, my friend whose name I said got a swarm, couldn't have timed it any better.

Untrimmed Slayer Cape - Images are fake, Lock please!
DarkDude replied to Etta's topic in General Discussion
So all you have to do is pick up your slayer cape but no other skill capes to get an untrimmed one, right? Or did you mean it trims itself when a second skill reaches 99? Once you get your second 99, then your first 99's skill cape automatically trims once you level the second. Yep, this is true. I had a video which showed it (When I got 99 hits, a few days after the capes came out) but I don't have the video on my computer and don't have a download link for it so can't show you. (I was wearing my 99 range cape at the time of getting 99 hits) -
I disagree completely. Having an occasional dream about something you do on a regular basis is NOT an addiction. Fine, if you're dreaming about it once a week or even more than that it's safe to say you're either playing far too much or have an addiction. But dreaming about something (In this case Runescape) is perfectly healthy to do. As I've said I've had thousands of dreams about many different things, it doesn't mean I have thousands of addictions. And let me ask you something else, having a dream about, for example, football and having a dream about runescape, what's the difference? In my opinion, none, for me they're both things I enjoy doing and to dream about them is perfectly naturally and not an addiction at all.

I had a dream this morning where I looked at my watch, does that mean I'm obsessed with time? No it doesn't Whats your point? What I'm saying is that RS was so much a part of my "reality", that it even snuck up on me in my sleep. I totally fail to see the connection in your post with mine. What you implied that if you dream about something you must be addicted to it. Which makes no sense at all, I've had dreams about all sorts of things that does not mean I have thousands of addictions. If you dream about rs than you are definetly addicted to it. No you are not, I don't understand why people think that. I've had about 5 dreams about runescape in the 5-6 years I've been playing, doesn't mean I'm addicted to it. I've had more dreams about other specific things in that time span and I'm not addicted to those either. And Fook, fair enough it's just how you said you had a dream about it and thus you must be addicted to it. (Or that's how I read your post anyway)

I had a dream this morning where I looked at my watch, does that mean I'm obsessed with time? No it doesn't, although the dream made me late for my lecture this morning :wall: tricking me into thinking it was a different time. Personally I've just had a forced 2 month break from RS after playing pretty much every day for the past 5-6 years, there were a few times where I wish I could play RS (mainly due to nothing else to do). I'm not addicted to it and never have been. I do hate that the day I can finally come back to RS Jagex decide to break their billing system, my typical luck :(

It's not impossible, it'd just require a load of ring of recoils along with people casting vengence on you. One thing I don't like about this picture, there's only two people there, at falador centre (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) the fact that NOTHING is shown other than the two people leads me to believe that this picture is from a private server.
