  1. I've been toying with that idea for a long time - so here is my offer for a special slayer arena. please read and make your comments. Indtroduction, or: Why do we need it A special Arena for Slayers is needed, up to my opinion, to be used as both Enterteinment (A different way of training) and Reward to good and hard-working slayers. Like the agility arean, it can be a way to train slayer a bit differently from time to time (Important thing in a skill that its training is quite routine like slayer). If made and used properly, It can both offer rewards that will make the life of medium and high level slayers more easy - and still, will not break the game's balance. Location: I offer to make it in an isolated place, and like the essence mine - the way to approach is talk to one of the slayer masters and asked to be teleported there (anoter option: place it in a maze under the dueling arena, or deep in the desert). The Arena will be as following: One big enrtrance cave, which will contain: 1. A banker Npc 2. Slayer shop that will sell all the slayer equipment (like any slayer master) + some usefull things like cooked lobbies/swordies, arrows, runes, etc. 3. A Npc that will trade your slayer Tickets for special goods or exp (see later). In addition: There are 4 [bleep]ed Steel gats leading to the task rooms. Each Slayer master (except the Burthop one) has his/her own gate. How and When Do we get there: The Offered Arena cannot be used by anyone and anytime. Though any player will be able to enter, the task rooms (see later) will be opened only for the proper slayer who gained the right to do an "Arena task". How you gain the right? Any player that will finish 3 tasks for a specific slayer master (except the burthop one) - without burthoping or going to another master for a task, will gain the right to do one arena task, in the name of his slayer master. For example: I Went to Vannaka in edgville, and he assigned me to kill 67 Ogres, then 89 Crocodiles, and then 70 Werewolves, and I completed all 3 task without going to the Burthop master (or any other master) in the middle. When I talk to Vannaka after the 3rd task, there will be a new option: To ask for an Arena task, If I will do it, Vannaka will give me a special key that will unlock (once, then crumble) the gate into his hall in the arena. Checking and prepearing for the task: Right before each gate, there is an orb that you can use your slayer gem on it. When U do it, You will be able to look inside (similar to the fight caves) and see what creatures await inside (To take the right equipment ofcourse). The Task begins when you use the key on the gate, and ends whenever you leave the task hall in anyway (run back trough the gate, tele, or die). The Task will also end when you will reach a kill-count of 250 (see later). You can take any food, weapon or items inside - except for a cannon, which is not permited there. Note, that there are no restocks or bank-trips: whenever you get out, from any reason, the task ends and you cannot go back (untill you get a new key, and a new task). The Tasks: Slayer Arena is tough. Each task-hall will contain 3 kinds of monsters, chosen randomaly in the following method: 1. The game will choose a fitting creature, just as it does when the specific slayer master gives you a regular task - But it will never be abouve lv100. There will be 3 spawns of that creature in the hall. 2. The Game will choose a kind of lesser creature, weaker then the previous one. There will be 6 spawns of that lesser creature in the hall. 3. The game will choose a strong creature, significantly stronger then the others. There will be 1 spawn of it in the room. For example: I got a key from the canifis master, so the game choose a creatuer as if I was doing a regular canifis task - and it happenes to be a loar shade. Then, The game choose the weaker creature ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ And the result is lv24 zombies. Last, The game choose the single deadly foe (In terms of the master I got the key from), and the reasult is a lv-110 Ashyian shade. So In the hall I will find 6 spawns of lv24 zombies, 3 spawns of loar shades, and 1 spawn of a deadly lv-100 shade. Now Take a Tougher Example - The shilo master can choose me a task of abberant spectures (3 spawns), and add the ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅlesserÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  2. I used heavy-defense outfit (dragon set + guthan plate + runite boots + obby cape). With def 80+, most the monster of the second road (the one i mostly use) will rarely hit you, and you can do fine with a load of 10 swordies or lobbies (most of the time, I rarely use half of them). The only prayer that is a "must" is the anti-range prayer - to use against the snails. otherwise, the easy trail snails will badly damge you, and the harder snails *will* kill you. If im doing the easy trail, there is no real need for a prayer pot - with prayer 50+ and whip, you can kill most of the snails before prayer runs out, then use few food to finish the rest. With the 2nd trail, 1 extra prayer potion is a must. tip: dont forget to recharge prayer in the salve temple after finishing the minigame. 65 agility is highly recomanded here - because it saves lots of walking time. another tips: in many of the trail 1 and 2 encounters, the best strategy is to quickly stand 1 square before the civilian. most monsters will swarm on you or blocked by you. It is nearly perfect against giant snakes and ghasts. It usualy works with the vampires, unless you got bad luck and there are some vamps in the sides. Then the situation is really bad, because you wont be able to block all of them. a warning: Ashian shades can somtimes "walk on you" - means, pass you and stand at the same square you are, and then they quickly kill your ward. That is really bad, because they wont stop to defend themselves, even if you are whiping them from the back. giant snails: If you got bad luck and one of the snails start to range your ward, leave anything and attack him first. Unlike the shade, the snail will turn to attack you. guthix balance potion: worth using if you are doing root 2 or 3. from the lv90 vamps that I turned human I got mith legs and addy longsword (worth of alching indeed). In the easy root, dont bother and simply hit the lv50+ vamps with the rod of ivandis, till they flee.
  3. did anyone discovered what is the use of the snail shells yet?
  4. Well, I guess that this lv103 begger is simply a little annoying kid that bought an account. I still wish to believe that one who did trained hard to get lv100+ must know better how to use his runescape time. As for the begger in my story - in second thinking, I guess that he took the risk to make a "hit". I meen - The "junk" drops of bronze dragons are mithril 2-handers and battleaxes, 60 addy javs and addy poison darts. At least once I saw players that dont bother picking/droping some of those while fighting the dragons. So, my guess is that if the begger could find some dragon-slayer that will give him some of that "free stuff", he would be far more successfull then anything he can get in Varrok etc (and no competing by his fellow beggers). I dont know exectly what is the market price of addy javelins (though I will find out when I'll gother 1k of those), but if its 130gp each (like addy arrows), each "free drop" worths 7.8k - maybe that what he though to himself. And again, If he was smarter and less selfish, maybe he would consider offering me his 15 lobbies for that drop, instead of begging, then dying and losing them (and me having to quarrel with a black demon over thos lobs) - If he was suggesting that, There was a good chance for me to agree (restock of food = more dragons killed = more chace to get dragon legs). As for him, he was trading his 2.5-3k for a double value. But im afraid that beggers will never think like there. They are just far too selfish.
  5. Last time It happened to me, someone was ranging a werewolf In canifis bar, laged and died, leaving a deathpile with some ranging stuff, 3k or so mith arrows, and 100k. She didnt talk so I didnt knew her rsn. I picked It and hanged around making my potions (My chat is always on). When she messeged me and asked her stuff back, I gave her all her items and arrows + 60k. 40k I kept to myself - not a perfect kind of behavior, I guess - but if I wasnt around, she was losing all of her stuff, worth much more then those 40k.
  6. Well, Yesterday's night I was meddling with my own bussiness: Getting a super-set and a load of pineapple pizza to Brimheaven dungeon, killing Bronze Dragons and hopping invane to get the ever-missing dragon legs drop. So, Im killing the big fat lizards down there, getting the usual addy javelins and mithril alch-junk. Then, I so another white dot on the minimap. Well, I thought that another player came to kill Dragons; why not? Then, He appears: a lv75 with iron armor, wielding a rune hatchet - no antidragon shield. So, I first wanted to warn him, but before I been able to type, he begins "Need free stuff plz". Well, first I though he is joking, so I replied "lol" - but he just keeps following me and begging (I was fighting the closeset dragon to the entrance), he tries to trade me, and so on. So, get annoyed and warn the noob: "Go away, or I'll feed you to the dragons" - nothing helps, he keeps begging from the entrance. When he see none of the wild dogs near, he comes to me and tries to trade. Ok, that noob had gone far enough, I think to myself - then I ran away from my dragon in the middle of the fight. As expected, after a few seconds the dragon turns to noob. Fire breath...pufff, 23 damage. The noob runs away, but the dragon keeps breathing after him, not to mention a black demons approaching his root in the room west of the bronze dragons. After a second, I see a lovely red dot, and runs there to explore - some coins, and lovely 15 cooked lobbies (pity I could pick more then 10 at that point). I had to have a quick chit-chat with the black demons who decided (surprise, surprise) to settle on the death pile, but I still got the 500gp and 10 free lobbies (no dragon slayer will object such a kindly food restock). Then, I couldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t resist messeging that begger (no dought he is in lumby/fally now, whining "omg, evil Bellatrix g0t me kill!!!!111 free st0ff pl0x!!!!!1". So, I pm him and say "Dragon's breath is hot, ah? Thanks for the *free* lobbies, pal". The guess what he replies? ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åfree stuff plzÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  7. Well, thank you all for your comments :) though I think it will take a while till I'll returen to barrows - im now quite invested in the magic training arena
  8. Lol, i know that, and i had lousy trips before - But that noob arrow thief was the "item" who made that trip so special. I simply despise those jerks who try to "help" you getting killed to get your items. What's funny is, that by accident, the noob got exectly the punishment he deserved - maybe he will learn something from that, but im quite pesimistic on that issue.
  9. First of all ill say that I posted that topic here, because it is not a ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅrantÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  10. Great guide :-) some notes: Bats: If you get bat task, giant bats are much more easier and profitable then regular bats. Also (never tried that but is should work), there are lv82 "death wings" on the legend maze, not too far from shilo village quest. with good armor and combat level, it can be fast and rewarding (it is also a multi-combat area). Wolves: there are some higher-leveled wolves them those on the white-wolf mountain (like the direwolves in arandar). Turoths: Here, I strongly disagree with you. Those foes are fun, and have marvelous drops - especially high-level herb seeds (In times that I do intensive farming, I plant all patches, go to a turoth killing trip till I get enough herb seeds, and then harvest). They also drop many nats and laws, and some items that are good for high alching (and more, like lv3 clues, mystic bottom, many herbs). When I was in a lower level. I ranged them. They defiently recover the arrow cost, and the safespot in the middle of the room is easy, for many turoths (especially the smaller ones) get caught. Now, I use melee: with 80+ attack, 75 streangth, and 76+ defense, using rune plate with dragon skirt, med and sqare, they hit little, and bones to peaches is more then enough to kill as many of them required till you are full with drops. A super-set (specially super def) improves things even more. I trained there alot, with and without slayer tasks.
  11. I think there down with the kq against the walls There are also some potato cactus in the first level of the kalphite tunnels, so you *dont* need to get down to chit-chat with their lovely queen to finish the quest.
  12. The most valuble drops (that are not super-rare) from moss giants are seeds - herb seeds (including ranarr) and high allotment seeds. they also drop nice amount of arrows and runes. Once I killed lot of mossies for that, till I got higher levels in farming and slayer, so I moved to turoths for my herb seeds.
  13. Solid-R: learn to read first. I reffered to the specific people mentioned there (beggers, etc) - and also those pkers who utilize the bug. And by the way - what is the hard work in mugging non-pkers? then you cry about them defending theirselves, or running away from the mugger? And yes, when in wildy with 3 items and unskulled, I run, tele, using dds, pray and do everything as such, although I know I will not lose anything then dying. why? to inflict maximum damge to the scum that attacked me for no reason, and double his waste of food, runes and prayer, then laugh at him, then he search the death pile and gets nothing. Though luck, pker. And yes, I perfectly know what wildy is - but that's go both ways. If you thinks its your right to attack honest people, then its my right to damage you as hard as I can, even if I have no items in risk.
  14. Thanks for the warning, leesters. You had every justification to post it it twice. As for people abusing that glitch, and other people defend their "right" to do so - why isnt that a suprise? face it, rs is crawling with jerks: Beggers, scammers, macroes, lureres (and now the bug-abusive pkers), people that gives wrong advice meaning to get you killed, etc. All of those have one basic common - obssesed to be "rich" without hard work. People that will do anything to put a worthless piece of paper-phat on their head, while ruining and causing grief for other people, who worked hard to gain some usefull items. Great honor indeed :?
  15. My main and nearly only way that I use to make money is the Farming-Herblore skills. I know that other skills can make quicker money, but i simply hate monotonic skills like fishing, wc and rc (though I trained them from time to time. I also hate merchanting - means, to sit all day in a bank, produce nothing of my own, and just utilize other people efforts to make money into more money). Herblore is indeed profitable. I bought my dragon skirt, dds, dragon med helm, rune boots etc from my herblore profits, and now I am very close to have the money for a whip. Whats makes herblore so fascenting, is that are many different methods to train it, that includes many other skills. My favorite ways are chaos druid warrior killing trips, sinister keys, and turoths killing trips for herb seeds. I found myself gaining exp in combat, agility, farming, slayer and magic - all via herblore.
  16. so that noobs can deliberatley blow it up in your face in an attempt to kill you? why yes! what a good plan... The one who blows the cannon takes the deadliest damage himself (As always happen in explosive blows). So, in most cases the noob will kill himself first.
  17. Interesting, never experienced somthing alike. I use the agility arena, and takes a nearly full load of cakes some cash and dragon long inside the inventory (for randoms, jungle spider outside, etc). I never noticed that I fall more in the begining (when full with cakes). However, I noticed somthing else. When you fail an obsticle, and immediatly try to do it again, the failling chances are much higher then regular. For example: Usualy, I pass the spinning blades about 75% of the time. If I do fell, there is at least 50% to fail the second try.
  18. There is already a way to get out from the ship. If im not wrong, then you can use that option then you talk to Bill (your captain) - "sail home" or somthing like that. In addition, If there was a time limit before the ship sinks, you could always get back that way also (+ some minor damage).

  20. anohter suggestion: why not to add a special "slayer arena", available only for some missions from the 2 or 3 advanced slayer masters. That arena is made as follows: One big loby with 20 different portals, each leading to a large room filled with 1-3 kinds of monsters (all them fitting to slayer tasks from Vannaka and higher). All rooms are multi-combat, and all monsters there are agressive, not metter how they are in other places, and now metter how high is the player's level (as in wildy). Now, after you've done 3-5 mission from one of the higer slayer masters, he gives you "A bonus mission" - for example "Now go and kill 120 Fire giants. You can either do it the regular way, or take the risk and do it in the slayer's arena". No need to emphesize, that the slayer arena is much faster (only player with specific mission will be able to enter that portal, so it will be much less crowded), and much more dangerous. The reward will be that each monster slain in the arena gives +33% more slayer experience then usual (means: If a fire giant gives 111 exp usualy, in the arena it will give 148 exp).
  21. Thanks :) I dont know any good way to send that to jagex, eccept to post It in the runescape suggestion forum (the problem is that after 20 minutes your topic is thrown down by 10 topics of "omg!!!1 y not adding a drag0n ninja sword?! ploX!!!" :?
  22. Nice idea (the urn). I will correct it in a minute. As for "sending" the idea - I dont know if there are other ways, rather tham publish it here and in the runescape official forum of suggestions - thing which I did.
  23. Medusa is from the Greek mythology, so their are no copywrits on it, and anyone can use it (As anyone today can write a story based on the Legend of King Arthur).
  24. The Green Guild (Farmers and Herblorists guild) Sigh, I know there is no much hope for that to happen, but I've been toying with those ideas for long time - so posting them here will make no harm. :) Introduction: I think there no real good argument against the fact that farmers and Herblorists do deserve their own guild. After all, those two related skills are challanging and slow to progress (Unless you actually buy herblore experience by purchesing insane amount of herbs) - much more complicated then mining, woodcutting, etc. A guild can be a goal and fine reward to challenge players and encourage them to train those skills. Now, when planning a new guild, there are 3 main things that we must consider: 1. There must be a certain reward for those high enough to enter the guild. Rewards can take many forms: while the most simple is the ability to buy things that are not sold elsewhere (like soul runes and mystic set in the wizard guild), there are many other forms of reward. one thing, similar but more tricky then the previous, is increase ability to obtain something rare - the best example are the shadow warriors in the legand guild. You can obtain left half also from other monsters, but those special monsters in the guild drops it more frequently. Third version of the same concept is a larger stock of goods or tools that are find elsewere in smaller numbers (and with no competition from lower level player) - for example, take the large coal mine in the mining guild. Other kind of reward is having some different (but related) facilitties gothered in one place. For example - the crafting guild. The meaning is - less running around to use the skill. The Lack of any significant reward makes the guild nearly absolute. Why should I bother to use the fishing guild, when I can get everything it offers in catherby (note that fishing spots, unlike mining rocks or monsters, doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t make real difference if they are crowded). 2. The GuildÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Reward should not break the game balance: No real explantion about that point is needed. Add 8 rune rocks to the mining guild, and the market will be flooded with rune bars, so high level smithing will become too easy. Add a Store with 100 tree seeds in stock in the Farming guild, and all uniqeness of those rare things will be ruined, and farmers will soon advance with no real difficulty. Same goes with too many facilities in one place - for example: a furance, envil and bank, all in one place. 3. The guild must ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅfeelÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
